Chapter 157: The Great Battle
After accepting the option, King looked up at the God, his Aura becoming increasingly violent.
Soaring Energy swirled in the starry sky. To claim the reward as quickly as possible, and fueled by his frustration at being suppressed for so long, King charged once more, heading straight for the God.
Tens of thousands of meters were crossed in the blink of an eye as the several-thousand-meter-long Blood Dragon roared and lunged in front of the God.
Sensing the change in King's Aura, the God leaned forward. The Void beneath his feet exploded amidst chaotic energy as he also transformed into a streak of light and dashed out.
In an instant, the violent Blood Dragon and the chaotic, colorful streak of light collided fiercely. A massive energy shockwave radiated outward from the point of impact.
The Void quaked, and space itself seemed unable to withstand such a terrifying energy impact, shattering repeatedly.
Under the continuous erosion of the chaotic light, the several-thousand-meter-long Blood Dragon actually developed fine cracks, looking as if it would crumble at any moment.
Yet in the next second, the Blood Dragon began to shrink continuously, as if a black hole had appeared at its center, twisting and vanishing toward a specific point.
The dragon's form dissipated, replaced by King, whose entire body was wreathed in burning crimson Energy.
He didn't plan to continue using the Blood Dragon; while such attack effects were cool, they were better suited as area-of-effect skills for clearing a field.
With King's current attributes, concentrating all that immense power into his own body was the strongest way to fight.
The God also noticed King's intention, and the starry sky on his face trembled imperceptibly.
Trying to break through a surface with a single point... then so be it!
The God looked up, and the deep starry sky on his face actually transformed into King's likeness. Similarly violent and powerful Energy erupted from his body, forming a red pillar of light that seemed to connect the heavens and the earth in this starry sky.
Indeed, the God had copied King's state. His attributes had now reached the same standard as King's, making them equal in terms of stats.
Seeing this, King didn't pause for a moment. He stepped through the cracking Void and threw a heavy punch concentrated with boundless Energy.
Wearing King's face, the God channeled the vast, ocean-like Energy within his body to meet the attack head-on!
Boom! Boom! Boom!!
This part of the starry sky had turned into an ocean of Energy, and even the space here was constantly shattering due to the extremely compressed energy.
Without air resistance, the two crimson streaks of light darted and collided repeatedly in the vast Universe. Each impact set off a silent explosion in the starry sky.
The God's fist struck out, carrying an attack comparable to the energy of a nuclear explosion, landing squarely on King's face as the heavens and earth roared.
King remained unmoved and countered with a punch of equal force, striking the God's head and sending him flying back uncontrollably.
"This guy got stronger again..." The God was astonished. He had clearly copied King's state, but in the exchange just now, he could sense that King's stats had surpassed him once more.
"Is it that Ability to Adapt to All Things... what a disgusting skill..." As a high-dimensional being with vast knowledge, the God immediately realized the reason.
In his current state, his attack power was likely being gradually adapted to by King, and would sooner or later result in reduced damage or even total immunity.
Furthermore, to adapt to these attacks, King's body was continuously evolving and becoming stronger.
"You have ways to get stronger, but do you think I don't?"
The God placed his palm on his face, wiping away the previously copied visage. He then copied the now-stronger King, and his Aura rose even further.
Both sides were growing stronger in sync.
King grew stronger by constantly adapting to the God's power, while the God could continuously copy King. It was as if both were stepping on their own feet to spiral upward into the heavens.
Thus, for a time, neither could gain the upper hand. After all, they shared the same beauty in their stats; as soon as one's stats increased, the other's would immediately catch up.
King landed another punch on the God's body. The terrifying impact sent the God tumbling through the Void, unable to stop himself for a moment.
His body flew back like a cannonball, crashing straight into a desolate planet not far away.
This planet was planetary in scale, but due to its harsh environment, it had not yet birthed any life.
The streak of light, radiating chaotic colors and crimson Energy, slammed violently into the surface, leaving a massive crater thousands of meters in diameter.
Amidst the sky-filling dust, the God flew out of the crater. He looked at his cracked black-and-gold armor and couldn't help but clench his fists.
"What a troublesome guy. All illegal transmigrators should just go die!"
The God secretly sensed trouble. Although he could continuously copy King's attributes to stay on the same level...
...there was a rule involved.
King had to get stronger first before he could copy him. Before King became more powerful, he couldn't copy other attributes.
At their level, even a time difference of 0.01 seconds could lead to different outcomes.
For instance, if King became stronger for 0.1 seconds, and the God chose to copy King's attributes 0.1 seconds later...
...then within those 0.1 seconds, the God would take several heavy punches and suffer more damage.
While the God was thinking, another crimson streak of light descended from the sky as King chose to press his advantage.
The God also lunged forward. The two collided fiercely on the planet's surface, the surrounding ground uplifted by a terrifying force, turning into a boundless wave of rubble that spread toward the horizon.
A quarter of the planet's surface was annihilated in this collision. The uplifted rubble was then forcibly pulled back by gravity. The planetary surface began to shake continuously, as if it would break apart in the next second.
King and the God became entangled once more. Under their non-stop attacks, the entire planet's surface had become shattered beyond recognition.
The sky was swirled with persistent dust, and bright red magma gushed from the core—a truly apocalyptic scene...
