Chapter 85 — Don't disappoint me either, human!!

King looked at the gigantic blue octopus in front of him; in almost an instant, all its data surfaced in his mind.

Geryuganshoop, one of the three generals aboard Boros's Spaceship, possessed formidable Psychic Power and proclaimed himself the Universe's number-one Great Master of Psychic Power.

He wondered how this fellow would stack up against Tatsumaki… Sensing the boundless vitality radiating from the human before it and the sky-shaking pressure rolling off him, Geryuganshoop's stress exploded.

Could this human be the leader of this planet? What terrifying strength!

Now he finally understood why Melzargard and Groribas had struggled below—this planet's natives were actually so powerful!

As expected of the world Lord Boros spent twenty years searching for… fundamentally different from other primitive planets… Though uncertain he could win, he could not retreat with Lord Boros's palace at his back.

With that thought, Geryuganshoop waved his blue tentacles, his voice echoing in King's ears:

"Human! Reaching this far is already reason to be proud, but I'm not like the other small fry—I am the Universe's number-one Great Master of Psychic Power!

Not only can I snatch light itself, the intensity of my Psychic Power can even knead a black hole with my bare hands. You cannot defeat me!"

The instant the words fell, Geryuganshoop unleashed his raging Psychic Power without holding back, whipping up countless small stones around him.

In moments a stone storm formed about him, blocking most of the view.

Having finished building his offensive, Geryuganshoop couldn't help laughing; his greatest fear had been that this absurdly strong human would charge in and interrupt his charge-up, yet the man had done nothing.

Just a primitive native after all—he doesn't even know the cardinal rule of interrupting a Psychic Power user mid-cast. Die!

Psychic Power hurled hundreds of stones forward; each rock tore the air in an instant, their force great enough to punch clean through a Spaceship's armored hull.

Facing the hail of stones, King exhaled blue steam and merely glanced at them.

The next second, before Geryuganshoop could even register it, the human's right hand blurred for an instant and every stone was slapped aside.

The stones' kinetic energy smashed into the nearby wall, instantly riddling the tough Spaceship hull with holes.

At the sight, Geryuganshoop broke into a cold sweat, his two lamp-like yellow eyes wide with terror.

What a joke! That was my signature move!

Disbelieving, Geryuganshoop roared; vast Psychic Power crashed onto King, cloaking his body in a faint blue glow.

"If stones can't kill you, I'll flatten you into meat pie! Three-hundred-fold gravity! Die!!"

Geryuganshoop released every shred of his Psychic Power; everything around trembled, as though the immense gravity would crush it all to ruin.

Yet King seemed to feel nothing; he flickered and vanished, leaving only an afterimage.

What?!

Geryuganshoop's mind went blank—he never imagined a human could move freely under his mightiest gravity crush.

When a blue-steam-wreathed fist filled his vision, he finally reacted.

Damn it—he's closed the distance!

Fist met blue spherical head without the slightest ripple; Geryuganshoop's head burst like a balloon and the octopus body slumped down.

King withdrew his hand, flicked off a spot of blue blood, and continued forward.

He hadn't instantly obliterated Geryuganshoop only because he wanted to gauge the so-called Universe-number-one Great Master of Psychic Power.

In the original story Geryuganshoop's strength had always been a mystery; during the invasion arc he had the misfortune to run into the Bald Demon King and was one-shot by a small stone.

Hence, endless online debates raged over whether Geryuganshoop or Tatsumaki was stronger, with wars breaking out daily.

Now, having experienced it firsthand, King found it… nothing special.

Purely in terms of raw Psychic Power output, this guy's stats didn't even reach a full-throttle Tatsumaki, though his technique was a notch above.

Sadly, Geryuganshoop had run into another stat monster who ignored all technique and erased him with a single basic attack.

King stood before the gate, slowly closed his eyes, and let his Mental Energy perception spread outward, sensing everything behind the door.

Beyond that door, a humanoid creature whose life force blazed like a great sun sat quietly upon a throne.

On the other side, Boros, seated upon that throne, turned his gaze to the gate, colossal single eye blazing with unmatched excitement.

He, too, sensed a mighty presence behind the door—someone whose aura alone set his blood on fire!

King pushed the gate open and walked in at an even pace; the thunderous King Engine shook the entire palace like the wrath of Heaven.

Boros watched the human enter, unable to restrain a thrilled grin, and rose from his throne, descending the steps step by step.

Thus the being hailed as The Strongest Man on Earth and the legendary Cosmic Overlord advanced toward one another.

Boros spoke first, voice trembling—not from fear but from barely contained exhilaration:

"Fine aura. Are you this planet's leader? You dispatched Geryuganshoop with casual ease—worthy of praise."

King lifted his gaze; the blue steam around him flared ever higher, his aura climbing:

"You mean that blue octopus? He was too weak to make me feel threatened. I hope you won't disappoint me."

Hearing this, Boros could no longer hold back his fighting spirit; he shot forward in a streak of light.

"Then come! I won't let you down—don't disappoint me either, human!!"
