The three [Basic Skeletons] rushed forward the moment Leon gave the silent command, their bony feet scraping against the forest floor as they surrounded the mutated [Toxic Snake].
From the very start, however, it was obvious that this fight would not go the way Leon had hoped.
The snake moved differently from the normal ones they had encountered earlier.
Its body twisted in sharp, unnatural angles, green venom seeping from the cracks along its scales. Before the skeletons could even coordinate their attacks, the snake struck.
Clang!
One skeleton swung its rusty sword downward, but the blade was knocked aside with ease.
Another tried to stab from the side, only for the snake's tail to whip around and shatter its ribs in a single blow.
Then, with terrifying speed, the mutated snake lunged forward, its jaws opening wide.
Crunch!
It clamped down on the third skeleton's skull and tore it clean off, tossing the head aside like it was nothing more than scrap.
