The mutated undead ghoul was massive.
It stood nearly three times taller than the normal ones, its twisted body stretched and reinforced by corrupted energy.
Its skin was thick, gray, and cracked, as if it had been stitched together from several corpses and forcefully kept alive.
Each time it swung its oversized claws at Leon, the air itself seemed to tear.
Boom!
Leon narrowly dodged to the side, and the claws slammed into the stone floor instead. Deep grooves were carved into the ground, spreading outward like spiderweb cracks.
"…That thing's strength is on another level," Leon muttered.
Slash!
He lunged forward and struck, his blade cutting across the ghoul's torso.
Blackened blood sprayed out, but the monster barely staggered. It simply let out a low, distorted growl and swung again.
Leon raised his hand instinctively.
Darkness Barrier!
A semi-transparent wall of black energy formed in front of him just as the claws crashed into it.
Crack!
Leon's eyes narrowed.
