"So this is real...?"
Markil's eyelids twitched.
"Ugh..!"
His head was throbbed.
"Oo my God! My head feels like someone used it as a football."
He slowly opened his eyes.
Green.
That was the first thing he saw.
Not the green of City Park.
This green was alive.
Leaves stretched high above him sunlight sleeping through the gapes like golden threads.
Markil blinked.
"Huh...?"
He sat up abruptly.
"No hospital ceiling."
"No white walls."
He looked around.
"Trees...."
He turned his head left.
More trees.
Right.
Even more trees.
"Okay!!" he muttered.
"Either I am still dreaming..."
He pinched his cheek.
"Ow-!"
"Or.. this is real."
He frozen.
His heart beat quickened.
"This is real."
Markil stared at his hands.
Long singers.
Strong forarms.
"Yep, still not my body."
He look down at himself and sighed.
"Wow,Markil," He said dryly.
"New world, new body, and you wake up in a forest like a lost NPC."
Herubbed his eyes.
"Calm... Down. Calm down."
"Oooo okay, balance first."
"Note to self: Abs don't automatically mean coordination."
He stretched his legs.
"I can walk."
"No baby steps required."
He paused.
"Why did I even think I'd forget,How to walk?"
He sighed again.
"I really need sleep."
Then-
His expression changed.
"Home..."
The world slipped out quietly.
"I need to go home."
His just tightened.
"My mother..." He whispered.
"She must be waiting for me."
His throat Burned.
"She must be worried."
Tearswelled up.
"Why did I run away?" He murmured.
"Why didn't I just... tell her everything?"
Markil wiped his tears.
"No. No crying now."
He sniffed.
"Still hurts though."
Markil to kadith breath and look around again, this time properly.
The forest wasn't normal.
Some leaves were glowing with yellow energy.
"Is that glitter...?" He muttered.
Markil waved his hand through the air.
The particles moved.
"The reacted...!"
His Brows forrowed.
"Don't tell me...!"
He closed his eyes and focused.
He didn't feel wind.
He didn't feel heat.
He felt something deeper.
"Mana...!" He was whispered.
"So this forest isn't just alive," he said slowly.
"It's being fed..."
"This is really like novel's and manga,In my world." He whispered.
"That means I can use magic too..."
He crouched near a tree and touched the bark.
*This tree isn't just growing because of sunlight alone,* He reasoned.
"It's absorbing Mana.Constantly."
He glanced around.
"That explains the size. Colour, density."
A faint grin appeared.
"Wow...!"
Then he frowned.
"Wait..."
He straightened up.
"Is Mana is everywhere in this world."
He looked at himself.
"Then this body is absorbing it too..."
He swallowed.
"That's not comforting..."
He sook his head.
"Okay,Markil.one problem at a time."
He started walking carefully.
Crunch.
Crunch.
Leave is crushed under his boots.
"At least the gravity work is the same..." He muttered.
"Small blessings..."
As he walked, he noticed more things.
Animals not running away.
Animals watched him cautiously.
"Why aren't these animals scared of me...?"
A deer type creature tilted his head, eyes glowing blue.
"That is not normal,I guess."
He pointed at it.
"You, yes you are glowing..."
That deer blinked then walked calmly.
"Rude..."
Markil sighed.
"So animals here are Mana adapted too" he thought
"Which means predators will be-"
A distant Roar echoed.
"Stronger..."
He gulped.
"I should really find people."
He looked at the sky.
"Or at least a road, sign, or an old man."
He chuckled weakly.
"Preferably one who doesn't kill me."
He kept walking.
"My mother always said," hethought.
"If you are lost, keep moving. Standing still won't help."
His stepssteadied.
"I will find someone," Markil said to himself.
"And then I will find a way home."
Markil clenched his fists.
"Even if this is not my world."
His eyes softened.
"I'll live in a way he wouldn't cry over."
The forest restled.
Somewhere far away.
A branch snapped.
Markil stopped.
"Someone is there...!"
Markil took a deep breath.
"Okay...," he whispered.
"First contact."
Markil's heart pounded.
"Please Please don't be hostile."
"Please do not be hostile"
"Please don't be hostile"
He swallowed.
"And if you are..."
"Let's hope you are reasonable."
