Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 - Sunday, You're So Full of Yourself!

"Well? Is it possible?" Sunday asked.

"Theoretically, it is."

"And what difficulties would be encountered in practice?" Sunday keenly picked up on the reservation in Chen Li's words.

Overly anxious about this topic, Sunday's tone became a little more urgent.

"There isn't enough Miracle Power. And even if it were forged, the Miracle Power gained would likely be less than what was spent. I don't do business at a loss," Chen Li said irritably.

To fulfill Sunday's request, Chen Li would need at least two Entries—[Paradise] and [Order]—and he would have to raise the brightness of both.

That would require Sunday to go kill a god of "Order" and a god of "Paradise" to provide the Entries. Not to mention, the Cost required to accommodate such Entries would be immense.

The alternative was for Chen Li to prepare a massive amount of Crystals.

The former was definitely impossible; the latter was asking for Chen Li's immediate bankruptcy.

I'm just trying to earn a few dozen Crystals from you, and you want me to go bankrupt?

This guy is really full of himself!

"Then how does one acquire Miracle Power?" Sunday pressed on.

"It's just like our current transaction. I forge a Curio for you, you use that Curio to create a miracle, and I harvest the Miracle Power," Chen Li explained the underlying logic bluntly.

"You're just revealing the source of your Miracle Power like that? Aren't you afraid I'll use it against you?" Sunday was somewhat taken aback by Chen Li's sincerity and frankness.

Revealing one's hand so early in a negotiation was an unwise move.

"What a joke. You think you're my only client? Besides, if you don't want a Curio, there are plenty of people who do. And aren't you the one who wants a Paradise Curio right now, so desperately you can't wait?" Chen Li crossed his arms and performed a tactical lean-back.

"..." Sunday was at a loss for words.

The other party had a point. Sunday had no way to refute it.

Even he, who had already conceived a plan for a paradise, was deeply moved by the thought of a Paradise Curio. How much more would it affect others who were even more desperate for a miracle?

And who could possibly refuse a Curio Forger offering to craft a Curio exclusively for them?

"So, what's your plan now?" Chen Li asked.

"Let's do this. You help my sister forge a Curio that she can use for self-defense and that prevents slander from her haters. I'll have someone deliver it to her, and we'll consider that commission complete. Then, I will find more commissions for you that can generate miracles, helping you acquire Miracle Power faster."

"Once you've harvested enough Miracle Power, you can use a portion of it to help me forge the Paradise Curio. How does that sound?" Sunday asked, his voice slightly rushed.

"You'll find more Miracle Commissions for me?" Chen Li looked at Sunday, surprised.

"Correct. The place I am from is called Penacony, the renowned Planet of Festivities in the galaxy. Countless dream chasers come here to pursue their dreams, so naturally, many yearn for miracles. It is a very suitable place for you," Sunday said.

"Forget it. Investing too many Curios in a single world could lead to its destruction. Can you imagine the consequences of a clash between different sets of rules?" Chen Li retorted.

"That's true... Alright, then. But if I want you to forge the Paradise Curio, what materials would be needed? Or rather, what price would I have to pay?" Hearing this, Sunday was inevitably a little disappointed, but after understanding the nature of Curio rules, he found it quite reasonable.

"I will need at least two Entries: one is Order, the other is Paradise. The higher the grade of the items containing these two powers, the lower the requirements will be to forge the Paradise of Order Curio. And let me be clear, I don't do business at a loss. My net gain of Miracle Power must be positive," Chen Li stated.

"Order?" Sunday's heart stirred at the word.

"That's right. Don't you want a well-regulated paradise? Then an [Order] Entry is essential."

"Then... if there were a real, ready-made paradise of order, would it be less effort for you to forge it into a Curio?" Sunday asked suddenly.

"Correct. But what's with that martyr-like look in your eyes? What are you planning?" Chen Li was startled.

This kid Sunday... could he be planning to have me forge his "Dream of Oneness" into a Curio?

Are you playing for stakes that high?

I just wanted you to lead the way, but you want to break the entire universe?

Forget it, forget it. I need to get him to transfer the communication token to his sister and go try to swindle her instead.

This Sunday guy was too crazy.

Or rather, too much of an idealist.

"You're mistaken. Do you have something like a business card?" Sunday asked after composing his expression.

"You mean?"

"I will transfer this right to communicate with you to Robin, but I will also need a way to contact you myself. I may need you to forge a Curio for me in the future," Sunday explained.

"...Here." Chen Li sent a single Crystal to his client like a red envelope.

"Now, you just need to imagine it, and you can turn the right to communicate with me into a business card to give to Robin. Then use this crystal to create two more cards, and keep one for yourself. Oh, right, remember to give one of the cards back to me," Chen Li explained.

One Miracle Crystal could capture one Miracle Commission, but half of the crystal's power was used for finding the client and making them believe. The other half was what enabled the barrier-free communication between both parties.

Therefore, one Miracle Crystal could generate two business cards.

But this was a bad deal, because once a Friend relationship was established, there was no need to use Crystals to make cards at all.

Sunday was a quick study. Soon, three business cards materialized before him.

"A Curio, a paradise... Someone, come. Deliver this gift personally into Robin's hands." Sunday summoned a servant and handed over the neatly packaged business card—the one that had originally been his—along with a letter of his own.

Sunday wasn't worried about the card being lost. Only Robin could accept this "right"; in anyone else's hands, it was just a useless card. If it went missing, he could simply notify Chen Li, who could remotely reclaim it.

Even if it failed to be delivered, there was no need to worry. Robin would be returning to Penacony soon for the Charmony Festival.

Sunday had suggested to Chen Li that he wait, but Chen Li had said that for a Curio Forger, time was money.

Right now, Sunday was even more eager than Chen Li for him to accumulate Miracle Power, so he agreed with his point.

"Yes, Master of the House," the servant replied with a nod.

"Oh, and one more thing. Arrange for a platinum suite at The Reverie Hotel."

"Of course. May I have the guest's name...?"

"Chen Li."
