After dealing with the three thugs in the alley and getting rejected by "Satella", Subaru's plan changed. He would go to the loot house by himself and buy that insignia. He was just as perplexed about what had just happened as the people watching the video.
"That's Felt-chan, what's she doing there? Suba..." Emilia was asking, when something caught her attention.
Next to her, Subaru was nowhere to be seen.
"Beatrice... Where did Subaru go just now?" Confused, she asked his spirit partner, who had been sitting on top of his lap up until then.
"What do you mean, Subaru is right he- Subaru!? He's gone!" Beatrice panicked, "He was just here, it's impossible, I would have noticed!"
The whole room entered a panic. Everyone got up from their seats and started looking around that small theater room for any clues. There weren't any doors in sight. He couldn't have gotten out.
"Natsuki-kun!!!" Otto called.
"Boss!!!" Garf joined him.
Emilia and Rem looked under the seats, Petra and Frederica checked every corner, and Roswaal and Ram did... they did nothing. With a condescending look, they watched as their camp companions looked for the camp's knight.
"Hey Roswaal you jackass! You don't plan to help or what!?" Garf confronted Roswaal, the situation required all of them to help, yet he was calm in his seat. Next to him was also Ram, but his personal feelings would not allow for him to yell at her.
"I don't think we have anything to worry about, young Garfiel-kun. I believe that our friend Su~baru-kun will be just fine. After all, he's your knight, isn't he, Emilia?"
With his usual comic voice, Roswaal addressed Garf's concerns. At the same time he directed himself at Emilia, who was holding Puck's relic with her hands. She looked at Roswaal and assented.
"I believe in Subaru, that being said..."
"Do y~ou trust your knight, Emilia?" Roswaal, cut Emilia before she could say anything that lowered the group's mental state. "I do", she answered.
"Then there's n~othing to worry about, is there?" Without putting his smile aside, Roswaal continued, "If you r~eally are worried about him, then we should finish what we're doing here as quickly as possible. That way you can go save your pr~ecious knight."
"Roswaal's right, I suppose. After a quick inspection, it's clear that we can't do anything right now." Beatrice, as weird as it was, agreed with what Roswaal was saying, "I can still feel my connection with Subaru, that means he's still alive somewhere."
"Can you determine where he is, Beatrice-sama?" Rem asked.
"That isn't the case, I suppose." She answered briefly.
"Don't look down, you're the leader, if you feel down that will make all of us do, Emilia." added Beatrice.
"You're right, sorry about that." Emilia took a deep breath and calmed her nerves, at least now she knew Subaru was alive.
"So you're saying we do as that bastard says!?" Garf exploded, "You can't be serious! He's still as shady as always! How do we even know he's not the one behind all of this!?"
"That assumption is foolish, I suppose. Why would he trap himself with us in a place where he can't use magic then." Beatrice responded.
Next to Garf, Otto grabbed his shoulder. "Calm down, there's nothing we can do. Beatrice-san said he is alive. Let's just stay put until we figure something out." With his merchant talking skills, Otto successfully managed to calm down Garf who was pointing his finger at Roswaal. Otto slowly lowered Garf's arm and made him sit down. The conversation between the two hadn't ended yet, but the tone was too low for the rest of the group to hear anymore.
Once again, Petra's anxiety had bloomed. The one who had managed to successfully calm her had been Subaru, and now he was gone. Her hand didn't let go of Frederica's, and with the other she covered her eyes. Needless to say what was going on behind her hand.
Emilia saw her, and being the kind-hearted person she was, she couldn't help it, "Petra-chan, Subaru is s~uper strong, he'll be fine." Emilia gifted her a smile and the little girl wiped away her tears. Her rival in love having to console her, how humiliating, she thought.
Everyone had lost focus on the video playing, Subaru had had his squirrel with Felt and was now heading towards the loot house with her.
"Everyone!" Emilia raised both her arms, "There's nothing we can do for the moment, so let's continue to do as Subaru said and watch the video." All of them silently agreed and took their seats again.
Having all of these settled, there was still something that bothered Beatrice. Subaru just disappeared without any of us noticing, not even me who was on top of him... It was definitely a work of magic. But who could use such magic... she didn't have a clue.
Subaru and Felt arrived at the loot house. They talked with old man Rom to pass the time while they waited for the mysterious buyer. The one who had contacted Felt first to rob Emilia's insignia.
Knock knock
"Must be the buyer" said Felt as she opened the door to a beautiful, erotically dressed woman. Only one person in the theater room recognized her.
"Elsa Granhiert...", the one Subaru and her had fought when they first met. But that wasn't the order, Elsa didn't arrive first. That's when it hit her.
"She's going to kill Subaru." She murmured.
"Do you know that woman, Emilia-sama?" asked Rem.
"Elsa Granhiert, the bowel hunter."
"Wha... how?" The previous statement was wrong, Emilia wasn't the only who recognized that lady. That was the case too for Garf, Frederica and Petra. Elsa had attacked the mansion after the events in the sanctuary. That was when Garf had managed to-
"I killed her... why is she there... I killed her didn't I?" Garf had certainly seen her whole body get crushed by a rock. It was true that she could regenerate, but there was no way she could have survived that.
"I think I know what's happening here.", said Emilia, the events happening were too similar to what had happened to her in the past. That was why...
