Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Leaving Cosmic Juggernaut

You must be joking. Whoever wants that damned thing can take it; just don't give it to her.

Otto needed the Cosmic Juggernaut far too much to complete his research.

This thing was simply a hot potato. Besides, what would she do with the Cosmic Juggernaut? What use did it have? Learn from Su and go peep at other worlds when she was bored?

She wasn't that idle, nor did she need it. As for the teleportation function of the Cosmic Juggernaut, it wasn't of much use to her. She didn't need to move around frequently.

After this matter was concluded, there wouldn't be much else that required her active operation. There was a high probability that she would just complete missions at St. Freya, casually go to work, and visit the Realm.

As for other uses... what? Was she really going to use the Cosmic Juggernaut as a locomotive to ram into people?

"Is that so?" Su nodded. "So, you wish for me to gift the Cosmic Juggernaut to the side known as Schicksal, in accordance with the original plot?"

He had already noticed that in the outline provided by Irene, this recent segment contained the most plot details and was the clearest.

"Mm, this is also what I hope you can see." Irene nodded. It wasn't just because the Cosmic Juggernaut itself was a hot potato; more importantly, she hoped Su could truly believe her.

And how does one make a person believe a prophecy? That is to let the prophecy play out before them, letting them watch the near future where everything happens exactly in accordance with the prediction. This is the fastest way.

"Since that is the case, I understand." Su looked at Irene and nodded gently. He had gained another measure of expectation for the plot outline Irene provided, and especially for Durandal, who was mentioned therein as someone who would gain his recognition.

At the same time, he was also curious: what kind of truth would he ultimately obtain from the mouth of that existence?

Irene looked at Su. She could tell that Su still wanted to explore the truth. "If you really intend to go, will you really be able to come back?"

"Rest assured, there is no problem." Su patted his own body. It was merely a projection of consciousness leaving the body; it wasn't as if he hadn't done this sort of thing before. He could be considered an expert in the field.

After all, his body was still here. Having been fixed up by Irene's ability, it was no longer in the stage of running on fumes. Even if Su wanted to disintegrate himself, presumably Irene would stand by the side and vigorously electrocute him.

As long as the body was preserved safely, he could return. It was just like flying a kite; his body was the spool. As long as the spool didn't break, his consciousness could follow the connection and pull itself back, just like reeling in a kite.

Plus, Irene was currently a Herrscher of Death. If she really wanted to, she could probably cultivate another body for him, though the compatibility might not be as high.

"Additionally, if you really plan to go, then give your authority to me." Irene extended her hand toward Su. Someone had to collect Su's corpse, even if it was just a case of consciousness separation.

"No problem. I will give you a temporary authority." Su nodded; he had no objection to this. "When I leave, I will use the authority to notify you. You just need to come then."

"Then there is nothing else." Irene nodded, simultaneously breathing a sigh of relief in her heart. She had saved another person. However, it was also time for her to prepare her retreat.

The longer she delayed here, the higher the possibility that Otto would locate this position. She absolutely could not appear in this vicinity at this time.

Although she was a tourist and it was normal to come here for a look, Irene hadn't forgotten that because of the Cat, she was on Otto's observation list.

If someone related to the Previous Era—someone who could even turn into the Cat—appeared in a place suspected to house the Cosmic Juggernaut... and considering Otto held Void Archives in his hand, Void Archives might not necessarily keep secrets from Otto.

Once upon a time, Pardofelis was an authority holder of the Cosmic Juggernaut. With all these factors combined, it would definitely cause Otto's vigilance toward her to skyrocket.

After that vigilance was raised, what would that guy do? That couldn't be confirmed. Irene didn't want that. Working under Otto's eyelids was already like stroking a tiger's whiskers.

Let alone being targeted by him. Irene didn't want to be fixated upon by Otto, at least not now. So, Irene had to hurry and run away to the Realm.

"I will do what I must do." Su patted Irene's shoulder. "The rest can only be left to you. I hope your path is smooth and level."

"Also, Irene... thank you for the things you have done."

"You're welcome, but..." Irene's face carried a gentle smile. "The things I want to do are not finished yet. After everything ends, you will still have many opportunities to thank me."

"One thing is one thing." Su smiled at Irene and reached out to pat her head. "Move forward in the direction you desire. I believe you can succeed."

Irene nodded firmly. "After all, I've already made the trip; naturally, I can't do nothing. I want to bring a more beautiful ending to this world I have come to."

As Irene's words fell, a breeze blew through the Bubble Universe. The Bodhi tree in the center of the Bubble Universe was stirred by the breeze, and a massive amount of leaves rustled, as if playing a musical movement.

River Thames

In the air, a small spatial gate quietly opened. Subsequently, Irene jumped out from within. She had already obtained the necessary authority from Su.

Moreover, Su hadn't just given her a temporary door-opening authority; he had given her an active authority, allowing her to observe the Bubble Universe he was currently in at any moment.

Although the meaning seemed somewhat unclear, Irene knew that this was Su hoping she could rest assured, so she could find a suitable time to open the door and come in to collect his... cough, to properly store the body he wouldn't be using temporarily.

Of course, the authority to open the door and leave was one-time use. Afterward, the Cosmic Juggernaut would automatically clear all operations performed under this authority according to Su's command.

This was also to ensure Irene wouldn't be exposed. As long as Irene didn't say anything and World Serpent didn't make a noise everywhere, theoretically, no one would know about the things Irene had done.

This holiday had absolutely nothing to do with Irene—at least, that was how it appeared to some people.

Irene looked around. At this moment, the sky was still pitch black. Her conversation this time hadn't taken too much time; it was still late at night. As for surveillance...

The Cat wouldn't be so careless. They had already cased the joint on the way here. Following the route they had planned long ago, Irene flew swiftly back into the small alley near the hotel.

Subsequently, she began to utilize Taixuan Sword Qi, condensing Honkai energy crystals beneath her feet, and then let the Honkai crystals carry her into flight.

Irene had learned this crystallization technique as early as the Chiyou era by observing the mechanics from the sidelines. Although Lixue expressed that this was absolutely not something the Irene of that period could have learned.

But there was no helping it. Irene's Honkai Adaptability, even before being enhanced at that time, was an extremely rare existence in the world. Her talent was simply too strong; sometimes, she really could do whatever she wanted.

Now, after becoming the Herrscher of Death, this was even more so. There shouldn't be any Herrscher who couldn't fly, right?

Stealthily returning to her room, Irene threw herself onto the bed, her gaze turning to the communicator she had left in the room from the very beginning.

This was the important reason why Irene absolutely had to return to the hotel first. Otherwise, Irene would have directly contacted Gray Serpent immediately after coming out and asked him to help take her to the Realm.

However, since she was already back, seeing as things were... she might as well get some sleep first.

Early the next morning, Irene checked out directly. Finally, she got into what seemed to be a taxi that had driven over just in time.

After boarding the taxi, she didn't even state a destination before being whisked away. The taxi drove Irene all the way out of London.

"Say, I didn't expect Mr. Gray Serpent to see me off personally." Irene looked at Gray Serpent, who was in the driver's seat. "Does Gray Serpent have nothing that needs to be done right now?"

Gray Serpent drove the car and replied indifferently, "There is nothing left that requires my action. Moreover, Miss Irene needs to head to the Elysian Realm; this is also a very important matter."

"Additionally, I have already informed the Flame-Chasers within the Realm of your affairs through certain methods. Perhaps you will receive attention immediately upon entering."

"Is that so? That's truly wonderful." Irene nodded. She wasn't surprised by this, nor was she worried. Anyway, an upright person doesn't fear a crooked shadow.

Why did Gray Serpent suddenly mention this? It was nothing more than checking if she had been bluffing before. If she had been, she would show a little uneasiness now more or less. But Irene didn't panic in the slightest.

Those few inside her mind could absolutely ensure she wouldn't be made things difficult for; receiving special treatment was the most likely outcome.

Gray Serpent used the rearview mirror and the various sensors within his body to sense Irene's vital signs. The other party's vital signs didn't fluctuate in the slightest. She really did look like she had nothing to fear.

The vehicle quickly drove out of London. At a hidden location, Irene transferred to a plane to leave. As for the things happening here, let World Serpent and Schicksal fight however they ought to fight.

No matter what happened afterward, it had nothing to do with a Valkyrie who was on vacation, had never had any contact, and had now already left.

*

Elysian Realm

Sitting on a chair, Gray Serpent opened his eyes. Clearly, the matter regarding Irene was now being monitored by more than just one Gray Serpent.

And this Gray Serpent was responsible for transmitting the matters Irene was currently in contact with to the Gray Serpent inside the Elysian Realm.

"Is the confirmation complete?" Watching Gray Serpent open his eyes, a petite green-haired figure who had been standing beside him looked up. Her voice seemed to carry exhaustion, as if she might pass out in the next second.

"Ah, Klein." Gray Serpent looked at Klein and nodded. "It is roughly confirmed. As for the specific situation, we can only wait for Miss Irene to come to the Realm personally for you all to conduct confirmation."

"I understand." Klein nodded. "Then, is there anything else?"

"Another 'me' is currently sending Miss Irene to the Realm. She is estimated to arrive this afternoon." Gray Serpent looked at Klein. "There is nothing else."

"Okay, I know." After Klein nodded, she hugged the tablet in her hands and walked into the passage behind her. Gray Serpent remained standing in place; he would still have to assume the responsibility of guiding Irene in later.

Their suspicion of Irene's authenticity was just a habit. With things developing to this stage, whether what Irene said was true or not was already beyond doubt. So, the current situation could definitely be described as improving.

"God bless World Serpent." After Gray Serpent murmured this and departed, he walked toward the other side of the corridor. As for Irene's disapproving attitude toward Project Stigma, that wasn't important.

Project Stigma would definitely commence. As for how it would ultimately conclude, that depended on what kind of answer this world could hand over to the Honkai and to them.

If it couldn't be done, then this world could only accept Project Stigma. That was the final justice. If the Current Era could truly hand over a satisfactory answer sheet and surpass Project Stigma, then World Serpent could only offer blessings.

On the other side, after Klein walked into the Elysian Realm, a voice full of vitality drifted over. Subsequently, Klein felt herself being picked up by someone.

Klein turned her head to look at Elysia, who had picked her up. Seeing it was Elysia, Klein's tone became even more feeble.

Because she knew that if it was Elysia, getting down easily would not be such a simple matter. But Klein still prepared to strive for it.

"Miss Elysia, please put me down. I still have to report the situation to the Doctor."

"I can take you there~" Elysia patted Klein's head. "I just want to know what kind of news came from outside. Can you tell me?"

"I'm really so curious, so curious~"

"Put my Klein down." Just as Klein wanted to reply, a slightly sweet and cloying voice suddenly rang out. Mobius appeared from within a teleportation gate, floating over.

"Oh? Professor Mobius actually came out of the laboratory~" Elysia looked at the floating Mobius, her face seemingly showing some surprise.

"It seems really happy news has truly come from outside, hasn't it?" The curiosity on Elysia's face grew heavier. "After all, to make Professor Mobius come out of the laboratory... so share it, let me be happy too."

"You really do want to join in on any excitement." Mobius looked at Elysia and rolled her eyes. "Put my Klein down first. If you want to hug someone, go hug your Eden."

"~~" Listening to Mobius's words, Elysia had to put down the Klein in her hands. The released Klein breathed a sigh of relief; fortunately, the Doctor had come over.

Otherwise, leaving Elysia's hands today probably wouldn't have been that easy. She still had a lot of work to do; she couldn't get entangled by Elysia.

And the moment she broke free, Klein trotted all the way to Mobius's side. "The news sent by Gray Serpent is likely true. That Miss Irene is also on her way here."

"She will arrive roughly this afternoon."
