Smith Doyle returned to headquarters and headed straight for the lab prepared for Bulma. He watched as she calibrated and assembled various machines, then said:
"Bulma."
Hearing her name, Bulma paused and turned to see Smith Doyle walking in.
"Brother Smith."
"Yes. I've finished the Dragon Radar you asked me to make."
"I built an exact replica of the Dragon Radar I created before, but since I don't have the Dragon Balls on hand, I can't be sure if there are any issues."
Looking at the Dragon Radar Bulma handed him, Smith was impressed by her efficiency. However, since the Dragon Balls had recently turned to stone after a wish, the radar couldn't be tested for effectiveness.
Smith took the Dragon Radar from her hands and said:
"The Dragon Balls have a one-year effective period. I made a wish not long ago, and they've turned to stone, so detection isn't possible."
Bulma nodded in understanding.
"That means the Dragon Radar I made should work fine. We can use it while waiting for the Dragon Balls to revert."
Smith put away the Dragon Radar and asked:
"Bulma, have you done any research on the healing chamber?"
Bulma thought for a moment and replied:
"The healing chamber's technology is very advanced. Some components simply don't exist on Earth. I'm not sure if we can find substitutes here."
"At the moment, I can't replicate a second healing chamber. Many of the technologies and materials here are far inferior to what I have, and some devices are completely inaccessible."
"However, John Wick underwent treatment and recovered very well. Many of his old injuries are healed, and his body is back to peak condition."
Smith nodded in agreement. As the daughter of Capsule Corporation's founder, Bulma had access to technologies vastly different from those of the Assassin Alliance.
While Marvel Earth's technology is advanced, and many companies possess cutting-edge capabilities, the Assassin Alliance still couldn't obtain all the necessary materials and tech. Even Wakanda, with its vibranium foundation, held formidable technological power.
It seemed they would need to find an opportunity to acquire some vibranium from Wakanda. Perhaps Bulma could find clever uses for it. As for other tech companies, they would need capital to facilitate transactions and see if they could profit.
Regarding John Wick's recovery, Smith was unsurprised. He did not yet know how much John's strength could increase, nor whether he might have a chance to master ki.
Considering this, Smith said:
"Since replication isn't possible for now, don't focus too much on the healing chamber. In the meantime, compare the technologies here with ours, and familiarize yourself with the available devices and materials for use in experiments."
Bulma nodded. Over the past few days, she had been studying the local progress and differences in material science technology.
"Brother Smith, regarding the gravity chamber you mentioned before, I looked into it. It turns out that some countries had proposed related research plans as far back as last century."
"Many places built super-gravity laboratories, mostly using centrifugal force."
"With our current technology and materials, building a gravity lab is feasible—but it would require a significant amount of space."
"If it's for training purposes, this location isn't suitable."
"This place is still too small."
Hearing this, Smith was surprised. He hadn't realized that super-gravity labs existed as early as the last century. Thinking about it, even Howard Stark, Tony's father, had conducted research on anti-gravity in that era.
Bulma's words also reminded Smith that he would need a larger base—which meant more funding.
"Bulma, your suggestion makes sense. I'll have Fox purchase this land and build a larger base."
Bulma nodded. She wasn't particularly concerned about these matters. Then her eyes lit up, and she said:
"Brother Smith, I want to go see the world outside, to understand how it differs from ours."
Bulma remained curious about this strange world, but she had been too busy lately to leave the Assassin Alliance.
After hearing her request, Smith thought for a moment, then said:
"If I have time, I can take a walk with you."
"Or you can ask Puer, Fox, or John to take you out."
"But you have many responsibilities now, so you probably won't go too far."
Hearing she could go for a walk, Bulma excitedly grabbed Smith's arm and shook it.
"Great, Brother Smith! I don't need to go far. It's good to first get familiar with the surroundings."
Bulma's curiosity about Earth was immense. She couldn't understand how a single planet could be divided into 193 countries. In her world, only one nation ruled, which was divided into 43 regions.
Meanwhile.
Tony Stark sat in the Rolls-Royce on his way to the press conference. Curiously, he asked:
"Pepper, what did you promise Smith Doyle when you invited him?"
Pepper Potts turned to Tony and said:
"I promised to buy them one million dollars' worth of research equipment and materials. Here's the list they sent me."
As she spoke, Pepper pulled out a tablet, opened the list sent by Fox, and handed it to Tony.
Tony glanced over it quickly and thought it wasn't his concern—nothing worth worrying about.
"These are relatively simple items. Get them purchased and sent to him as soon as possible."
Pepper nodded and continued:
"I also promised them a batch of weapons, and access to buy Stark Industries-produced weapons."
Tony was shocked. How could this involve so many matters? Giving a batch of weapons was one thing, but providing channels to purchase Stark Industries' heavy weaponry was far more complicated. The military would never allow such items to be sold to outsiders.
"So… what exactly is Smith Doyle's true identity?"
Pepper was silent for two seconds before sharing everything she knew with Tony. She also explained that she had used J.A.R.V.I.S. to search for information, which was now stored on the computer in Tony's mansion.
Tony was surprised—it was nothing like what he had expected.
At the same time, he understood why Pepper had provided weapons and access channels. Doyle's identity required it. Thinking ahead, Tony realized he might have to apologize to Smith Doyle. Pepper may have technically breached the contract this time.
However, considering the agreement with Smith Doyle, Tony planned to compensate him when they met, and amend the final clause of the contract. Perhaps Doyle would be interested in Stark Industries purchasing various research equipment and materials on his behalf.
