Chapter 28 - cao cao

A few dozen meters away, in an open area, a group of people were engaged in a fierce battle under the cover of night.   The

  situation was far from optimistic.

Although the attackers were few in number, only seven or eight, among them were martial artists who had mastered internal energy.

And there was more than one.

The two leading thugs were enveloped in a faint white aura—a high-frequency shield generated by the vibration of air   from their internal energy. The small-caliber, homemade pistols used by ordinary patrol members were like bulletproof glass, only creating ripples but failing to penetrate their defenses.   In moments, two patrol members lay dead on the ground.   In an instant, the situation reversed.   The two martial artists, braving the sparse fire, charged forward with sinister grins, their machetes gleaming coldly.   "Damn it, these bastards dare to block the way? Boss, I'll take a few men and kill those snipers over there."   One of the burly men, his face covered in scars, spotted Cao Dan's team lurking in the shadows and roared, leading three of his men charging forward menacingly.   "Fire! Give them a good beating!"   Mark, Xu Lai, and Jin Wei were pale with fright, but they still frantically pulled the triggers.   "Clang clang clang..."   The bullets struck the burly man, making a metallic clanging sound.   Although they made him stagger, they didn't cause any real damage.   The burly man was less than ten meters away from them, his ferocious smile clearly visible.   Before the other night patrol members could react, Cao Dan moved.   He didn't fire frantically like the others, but instead took a deep breath and instantly entered [Internal Vision] mode.   The mechanical power that had been dormant within him surged like a raging dragon awakening, rushing wildly into the python revolver through his arm.   A strange blue light flashed across the black gun barrel.   "Bang!"   The first shot!   This shot didn't use any mechanical force; it was just a regular bullet.   The bullet struck the burly man's chest, the immense kinetic energy causing his internal energy shield to vibrate violently, its light instantly dimming.   The burly man froze, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes: "That's it?"   "Bang!"   The second shot!   This shot blazed with blue light. The   bullet, imbued with mechanical force, seemed to transform into a blue drill, piercingly shrieking as it instantly tore through the precarious air vibration membrane.   "Pfft!"   The shield shattered.   The burly man's disdain froze; he sensed the approach of death.   "Bang!"   The third shot!   This shot aimed straight for the vitals.   Without the protection of his shield, the burly man's body was as fragile as paper before the large-caliber bullet.   A gaping hole exploded in his chest, his heart utterly shattered.   "Bang!"   The fourth shot!   Without hesitation, Cao Dan fired the final shot, blasting the man's head apart.   Red and white sparks flew across the night sky.   The whole process, though seemingly lengthy, actually took only two seconds from Cao Dan's first shot to the burly man's fall.   "Big Brother!!!"   The three henchmen behind the burly man were stunned.   They never imagined that their leader, who could withstand several gunshots, would be killed so easily, like a chicken being slaughtered.   They tried to escape, but their legs were trembling.   "Since you're here, don't leave."   Cao Dan quickly turned his gun, locking onto his second target.   His [Basic Shooting] skill was already at Lv5, and with the temporary enhancement of his weapon's performance from his mechanical power, his draw speed and shooting accuracy reached a terrifying level.   "Bang! Bang! Bang!"   Three gunshots rang out, almost in a single line.   The three thugs who tried to turn and run hadn't even taken their first step before a bloody flower bloomed on their chests, most of their bodies mangled, and they collapsed into pools of blood.   "Follow me, support them over there!"   Cao Dan didn't even glance at the corpses on the ground. A flash of blue light appeared between his palms, and bullets clicked and loaded automatically into the magazine. With a roar, he charged towards the main battlefield.   Meanwhile, the fighting was still raging on.   Another thug leader, seeing his brother instantly killed, went berserk.   "Aaaaah! I'll kill you!"   This man was even stronger than the first, wielding a massive broadsword. His inner energy exploded, and he charged towards Cao Dan like a mad bull.   "Mr. Cao, watch out!"   The other night patrol members nearby shouted in terror.   Facing this thunderous attack, Cao Dan didn't retreat a single step.   He stood rooted to the spot, his feet gripping the ground, his inner energy surging wildly. Through the techniques of [Martial Arts Limitless], he concentrated all his strength in his wrists.   At the same time, he channeled all his remaining mechanical power into the gun barrel.   "Die!"   the thug leader roared, his broadsword about to fall.   Cao Dan raised his hand and pulled the trigger.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The revolver was fired with the force of a submachine gun.

Six bullets, like a storm, shot out, all hitting the same spot: the thug leader's forehead.

The first bullet caused his air shield to vibrate. The

second bullet cracked his air shield.

The third bullet shattered his air shield.

The fourth bullet pierced his flesh, dispersing his internal energy.

The fifth bullet pierced his skull.

The sixth bullet ripped off his

skull. The burly man let out a defiant roar, but before he could bring his broadsword down, the force of the impact sent him flying, crashing heavily to the ground. He twitched twice and then lay still.

At this, the remaining henchmen completely collapsed.

  "Monster, he's a monster!"

They dropped their weapons and turned to run.

But before they could take more than a few steps, they were riddled with bullets by the other patrolmen who had reacted.

  The battle was over.

  The battlefield was deathly silent.

Only Cao Dan's slightly heavy breathing echoed.

Simultaneously activating his internal energy and mechanical power placed an immense strain on his body.

He felt as if his arms were filled with lead, his energy nearly depleted.

Yet, he stood firmly, wisps of smoke rising from the muzzle of his gun.

When his gaze swept over the surrounding night patrolmen, those neighbors who usually called him brother all took a step back, their eyes filled with awe and fear.

  Too ruthless.

  Too fast.

This was not the combat power of an ordinary apprentice mechanic.

"Mr...Mr. Cao, it seems to be over."

Mark and the others cautiously approached, swallowing hard, finding their captain terrifyingly unfamiliar.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Cao, for saving our lives. Otherwise, we would all be dead tonight."

The captains of the three surviving night patrol teams, regaining their composure, hurriedly stepped forward to express their gratitude, their tone extremely respectful.

"We're all neighbors; helping each other is only right."

Cao Dan took a deep breath, calming his surging blood, and his honest smile returned to his face.

But he couldn't suppress his excitement.

  [System Notification: Mission Complete!]

[Reward: Skill Upgrade Card (Beginner) *1]

"Now that it's resolved, I'll take my leave. It's too taxing."

Cao Dan sheathed his gun and turned to leave.

"Hey! Mr. Cao, wait a minute!"

a quick-witted night watchman suddenly called out. "The spoils haven't been divided yet. Those two experts' equipment is all here. According to the rules, the lion's share is yours."

  Cao Dan paused.

He wanted to casually say "No need," to show off.

But then he remembered the dwindling food supplies at home and immediately changed his mind:

"Ahem… well, I won't take anything. It's too heavy. How about we convert it to cash and give it to me later?"

  …

The team members behind him were still whispering amongst themselves.

"My god, this Mr. Cao is truly a hidden master! Everyone says he's a gun modifier, but I never expected his gun-drawing technique to be so terrifying? It's practically comparable to a junior gunner."

"Was that just a normal gun-drawing technique? Why did I see his gun glowing? The power was frightening!"

"Maybe it's special ammunition? After all, he's a professional mechanic; he must have some trump cards up his sleeve."

  ...

Not long after the battle, Qi Lin arrived late with his large group.

Seeing the corpses scattered on the ground and the unharmed Cao Dan, a barely perceptible hint of apprehension flashed deep in his eyes.

But Cao Dan didn't give him a chance to test him, using the excuse of excessive exertion, and led his team home directly.

Back in the dark bedroom, Cao Dan collapsed onto the bed, but couldn't help but smile.

"I didn't expect my first attempt at combining mechanical power and internal energy to be so effective."

"Although it was exhausting, the explosive power is simply invincible."

Seemingly due to the exhilarating battle, Cao Dan was in an unusually excited state. Although

  searching for TWKAN

's internal energy and faint mechanical power on Google was extremely taxing, the thrill of teetering on the edge of life and death, of being in complete control, kept him awake until dawn.

Outside the window, the shantytown was exceptionally quiet at night.

His clean and decisive kill of two martial artists who possessed internal energy last night, single-handedly and with a gun, seemed to have been shielded by an invisible protective barrier.

The night patrols had already rotated.

At the street corner, the two corpses of the thugs, hung up for public display, swayed slightly in the night wind.

The gruesome sight was extremely intimidating, not only deterring outside thugs but also causing those within the mutual aid society who had harbored some ulterior motives to completely suppress their claws.

  ...

Inside the workshop, the lights were bright.

Cao Dan sat at the large workbench, calmed himself, and pulled out the blueprints Zhao Dingjian had given him—[High-Incendiary Ammunition].

These past few days I've been busy with training and patrolling, and haven't had time to study this carefully.

The description on the blueprints is very simple, even rudimentary:

[High-Incendiary Ammunition: Special Ammunition. Upon impact with the target, it generates a high-temperature flame, instantly igniting an area of three to five square meters, causing continuous burning damage.]

As a trainee mechanic with some practical experience, Cao Dan immediately recognized the extraordinary nature of this thing.

"This thing is practically made for the wasteland."

Cao Dan carefully studied the densely packed chemical equations and structural diagrams on the blueprints, his eyes gleaming.

The core principle of high-incendiary bullets is not the traditional solid incendiary agent, but rather a highly flammable, highly adhesive compressed gas mixture.

This design is far superior to armor-piercing incendiary rounds.

It doesn't need the high temperature generated by impact to ignite, nor does it depend on whether there are combustible materials on the target surface.

Once the warhead breaks apart, that special gas mixture will instantly undergo a violent spontaneous combustion reaction upon contact with oxygen in the air, generating temperatures as high as two thousand degrees!

Moreover, the preparation process of this gas is extremely complex.

Two special chemical precursors need to be collected through a specific reaction and then mixed with another inert gas in a strict ratio to maintain stability.

If someone attempts to disassemble the warhead for reverse engineering, a slight mishap could damage the sealing structure, causing an instantaneous explosion due to gas leakage.

  "A natural anti-piracy mechanism,"

Cao Dan exclaimed. "This means that as long as I have the formula, this is an exclusive business."

Even better, this ammunition is extremely adaptable.

From pistol bullets to armor-piercing rounds for sniper rifles, and even large-caliber machine gun shells, this technology can be applied.

"Perfect, I have a lot of raw materials stockpiled at home."

Cao Dan was a man of action; since he couldn't sleep, he'd get to work.

He rummaged through a corner cabinet and pulled out a pile of bottles and jars—various chemical reagents and extracts from used batteries that he had collected.

  "Let's begin."

Cao Dan took a deep breath and gently placed his hands on the workbench.

The next moment, a miraculous scene unfolded.

  *Buzzing sounds*...

With a thought, wisps of almost invisible blue electricity emerged from his fingertips, like nimble tentacles, gently wrapping around the delicate tools and bullet casings.

  This was mechanical force.

Although his mechanical force value was less than 1.0, the wondrous resonance between him and the machinery was undeniable.

Previously, he had to carefully pick up tiny amounts of fuse powder with tweezers; a slight tremor of his hand could ruin everything.

But now, drawn by the weakly magnetic mechanical force, the fine powder obediently fell into the bottom of the cartridge casing with perfect precision, as if it were alive.

Even the sealing process, which required high pressure, was now perfectly cold-welded by Cao Dan simply by penetrating mechanical force into the gaps in the bullet head and slightly altering the arrangement of the metal molecules.

  "This efficiency is practically cheating,"

  Cao Dan thought with elation.

Originally, according to the blueprint, making a high-incendiary bullet would take at least three hours, with a very high failure rate.

But now, with the aid of mechanical force, many delicate operations that were difficult to complete became effortless.

  Just two hours later,

a dark red bullet lay quietly in Cao Dan's palm.

A delicate flame-shaped pattern was engraved on the bullet's tip—a counterfeit-proof mark he'd casually left with his mechanical power when sealing it.

[High-Incendiary Bullet: Damage +15%, Burning Range +20%, with a burning effect.]

Cao Dan played with the bullet. If it hit a person, it would instantly explode, even more powerful than the explosive bullets he'd modified before.

With the experience of his first success, the subsequent production went much more smoothly.

By the time the sky began to lighten, more than thirty dark red high-incendiary bullets were neatly stacked on the workbench.

  "Huff!!!"

Cao Dan stopped what he was doing, feeling a wave of dizziness wash over him.

The intense precision of the operation, coupled with the continuous output of mechanical power, had left him extremely exhausted.

But he didn't rest immediately. Instead, he sat cross-legged, circulated his internal energy, and used martial arts breathing techniques to recover his strength.

Half an hour later, the feeling of exhaustion subsided slightly.

  ...

  Dawn broke.

Cao Dan didn't rush to catch up on sleep. Instead, he seized the opportunity and took out the sack of blueprints York had given him.

Most of them were research materials from the Invincible Hospital, many of which were just conjectures and experimental data written on scrap paper, not directly usable for manufacturing.

But that didn't stop Cao Dan from reading and learning from them.

"So that's how it is. That madman Mellon Marshall actually wanted to transform himself into a perpetual motion machine."

Cao Dan flipped through a blood-stained notebook, marveling.

Mellon, the director of the Invincible Hospital, was originally a gifted martial artist.

But in order to break through the limits of the human body, he resolutely embarked on the evil path of bio-mechanical modification.

The notebook detailed how he removed his bones and replaced them with titanium alloy frames; how he removed parts of his internal organs and implanted miniature reactors...

After reading for a while, Cao Dan sifted out two relatively mature blueprints from this pile of old papers.

The first one: [Thousand-Faced Bio-Mechanical Mask]

Description: Facial disguise equipment. Made of bionic skin materials and micro-hydraulic structures. Can change facial features at any time to disguise identity.

"This is amazing!" Cao Dan's eyes lit up.

This thing was essentially a thin film, similar to a face mask, that would fit seamlessly onto the face.

Simply pressing a tiny switch hidden behind the ear, or inputting a specific mechanical command, would change the microstructure beneath the mask, pulling on the skin to alter the shape of the face, the height of the nose, and even the degree of drooping of the eyes.

While it couldn't change height or body shape, giving one a completely different face was already a top-tier weapon for robbery and murder.

"Unfortunately, I'm missing a few key micro-servo motors and bionic silicone."

Cao Dan mentally noted the required materials, planning to keep an eye out for them next time he went to the trading area or the black market.

The second blueprint, however, made Cao Dan gasp.

  [Muscle Metal (Semi-finished Product/Theory)]

Description: A liquid deformable metal with properties similar to human muscle tissue. It possesses extremely high ductility and memory. It can be manipulated using electrical energy or mechanical force, instantly hardening or softening it, and even simulating muscle contraction to generate tremendous explosive force.

  "This thing is incredible."

Cao Dan carefully studied the molecular structure formula on the blueprints.    This

was practically something from a science fiction movie, a liquid metal similar to mercury, but with biological activity.   If a mechanic could possess this, not only could they use it to create weapons at will, but they could even use it as their own "exoskeleton muscles," exponentially increasing their combat power.   "If I could implant it into my body to replace some of the damaged muscle fibers..."   Countless application plans flashed through Cao Dan's mind instantly.   However, after looking at the list of materials below, he was immediately given a cold shower.   Shape memory alloys (rare),   ion polymer metal composites (extremely rare),   stimulus-responsive smart materials (extremely rare)   —these things, each name represents an astronomical price in the wasteland, and some are even impossible to buy even with money.   Aside from the incredibly lucky hunters who might find a few in high-level ruins, the only other option is to steal them from the core warehouses of powerful factions like the Li family or the Vault.   "Alright, forget about it for now."   Cao Dan shook his head and put the blueprint away.   ...   Nine o'clock in the morning.   Cao Dan finally succumbed to sleepiness and took a short nap on his workbench.   When he woke up, he was wrapped in a thick blanket.   Zhu Hanhong hadn't dared to disturb her husband, and seeing him awake, she immediately brought in steaming hot water for washing his face and breakfast.   "You've worked hard."   Cao Dan took the towel and wiped his face. Looking at Zhu Hanhong's concerned eyes, he felt a warmth in his heart. "The commotion last night didn't scare you, did it?"   "Am I the kind of person who's timid?"   Zhu Hanhong rolled his eyes at him, serving him porridge as he spoke. "But those new team members are looking at you like you're a god. By the way, Qi Lin just sent someone over, saying he wants to pay a visit."   "Oh?"   Cao Dan took a sip of porridge, his eyes flickering slightly. "That fox got restless so quickly?"   ...   Ten minutes later, Cao Dan finished getting ready and was about to go to the training room to stretch his muscles.   "Knock knock knock."   There was a knock on the door.   Opening the door, he saw Qi Lin standing there in a neat Tang suit, carrying an exquisite gift box, his face beaming.   "Mr. Cao, I hope my unannounced visit hasn't disturbed your rest?"   Although Qi Lin had a smile on his face, his shrewd eyes quickly scanned Cao Dan.   He keenly noticed that although Cao Dan looked somewhat tired, his steps were light, and his aura was restrained and steady.   Especially his hands, peeking out from his sleeves, had thick calluses on the base of his thumbs, clearly indicating a profound mastery of martial arts, far more than just a mechanic who could handle guns.   To be honest, before this, Qi Lin hadn't taken Cao Dan seriously.   In his eyes, Cao Dan was at best a skilled craftsman, and although he had the title of apprentice mechanic, in this wasteland where might made right, that was all.   But last night, Qi Lin realized he had completely misjudged him.   During the fierce battle last night, he was on patrol in another district and hadn't heard a thing. It wasn't   until the battle ended and his men submitted their reports that he understood what had happened.   It was terrifying.   One against two, and the opponents were two formidable figures about to enter the realm of beginner martial artists, possessing internal energy for protection.   And the result?   Cao Dan was completely unharmed, his clothes barely even dirty, and he wiped them all out with that modified revolver.   This terrifying combat power that erupted in an instant was something even Qi Lin himself might not be able to execute so cleanly and decisively.   "This person is not to be underestimated; try to win him over, don't make him an enemy."   This was the tone Qi Lin set before coming .   "Mr. Qi, you're too kind. It's   an honor to have you here. Please!" Cao Dan didn't put on airs, stepping aside to gesture for Qi Lin to enter the living room.   After the two sat down, Zhu Han Hong served tea and then withdrew.   "I wonder what brings Mr. Qi here?" Cao Dan asked directly.   "Haha, Mr. Cao, you're quick-witted."   Qi Lin put down his teacup and said with a smile, "I'm here mainly to discuss the distribution of last night's spoils."   He composed himself and said seriously, "Mr. Cao, you deserve immense credit for last night's fierce battle; you single-handedly killed almost all those thugs. According to the rules of our mutual aid society, and also the rules of the wasteland, all the spoils should rightfully belong to you."   He then took out a list and read aloud:   "After inventory, there is a total of a fragmented copy of the 'Iron Shirt' internal energy cultivation method, two well-made short guns, a fighting technique called 'Bone Crusher,' a heavy machete mixed with alloy, and a solid alloy iron rod."   "And the cash found on them, totaling 521 gold coins."   After reading, Qi Lin looked at Cao Dan, "Mr. Cao, do you intend for us to help sell these items and give you the cash, or should we deliver them directly to you?"

Cao Dan raised an eyebrow slightly.

While the books *Iron Shirt* and *Bone Crusher* were commonplace, the alloy machete and iron bar were valuable materials; melting them down would yield a considerable amount of rare metals.

  "Don't sell them,"

Cao Dan said without hesitation. "Bring them all over. You know I'm a mechanic; this scrap metal still has some use to me."

"Good, Mr. Cao is indeed decisive!"

A hint of admiration flashed in Qi Lin's eyes.

"The weapons and equipment are a bit heavy; I'll have someone bring them to you later."

Saying this, Qi Lin pulled a heavy money bag from his pocket and gently placed it on the table. "Here's the money, not a penny less."

The two then exchanged a few more pleasantries.

Qi Lin's words subtly probed whether Cao Dan intended to further expand his influence within the mutual aid society, perhaps seeking a vice-president position.

But Cao Dan appeared extremely indifferent to fame and fortune, like a typical homebody who "just wants a wife, kids, and a warm bed, and maybe do some research."

This relieved Qi Lin greatly. A skilled fighter without ambition was exactly the ally he needed.

Soon, Qi Lin, satisfied, took his leave.

  ...

Seeing Qi Lin off, watching his figure disappear around the street corner,

  Cao Dan's smile vanished instantly.

He quickly closed the door, locked it, and hurried to the living room.

He grabbed the heavy money bag on the table and untied the rope.

  "Clatter!"

A large pile of colorful banknotes spilled onto the table.

Cao Dan grabbed this handful, then that handful.

  "Money! This is all money!"

"A total of 521G, not a penny less."

Cao Dan counted it carefully, nodding in satisfaction.

"Take out 70% of this money to continue buying grain and water. Having grain in hand is reassuring in times like these."

"Use the remaining 30% to buy materials."

  Noon. At

  Cao Dan's door.

Two members of the mutual aid society, drenched in sweat, stood with several large boxes beside them.

"Mr. Cao, this is what Chairman Qi ordered us to send. These are the spoils left behind by those thugs last night. Please take a look."

These two men, usually considered tough characters on the street,

were now bowing like shrimps before Cao Dan, their faces beaming with smiles.

Cao Dan's incredible marksmanship from last night had become the talk of the town in this shantytown.

"Thank you for your hard work."

Cao Dan casually tossed them two packs of cigarettes, not being overly polite, and gestured for them to put the things down and leave. After seeing

them off, he closed the door.

After lunch, Cao Dan didn't rest but immediately immersed himself in studying and cultivating.

No matter the era, knowledge and strength are always the foundation of survival.

He reopened the sack York had left behind.

Besides mechanical blueprints, there was a thick stack of materials on the development of supernatural abilities.

These materials were mostly byproducts of the Invincible Hospital's research on human body modification, primarily focusing on physical enhancement, such as "Induction of Rapid Cell Division," "Bioelectric Stimulation for Healing," and "Inhibition of Allogeneic Rejection."

Cao Dan flipped through a few pages before closing the document with a headache.

Specialization is key; although he had a cheat-like ability, his energy was limited.

His current dual cultivation of the [Mechanical Engineering] and [Martial Arts] systems already consumed all his time, leaving him with no extra energy to delve into obscure genetics and biology.

Moreover, the system hadn't indicated he possessed any talent for supernatural abilities.

  "Wife, take these,"

Cao Dan said, handing the stack of documents to Zhu Han Hong, who was clearing the dishes. "There's a lot of knowledge about supernatural abilities and human anatomy in these. You're a therapist; it should be useful to you."

Zhu Han Hong wiped her hands and took the documents.

She was, after all, a formally trained intern therapist; although her level wasn't high, her foundation was solid.

After only a few pages, her eyes lit up.

"Is this the technique for utilizing life energy from within the Invincible Hospital?"

She seemed to have discovered a new continent, grabbing the documents and sitting on the sofa. Within ten minutes, she was completely absorbed, not even hearing Cao Dan call her.

  Cao Dan glanced at her.

  [Target: Zhu Hanhong (Partner)]

[Status: Focused (Analyzing "Fundamentals of Cell Modification"...)]

Seeing her so engrossed, Cao Dan didn't dare disturb her and turned to walk into the training room.

He took out the two trophies Qi Lin had given him: "Iron Shirt (Fragment)" and "Bone Crusher."

These two skills were commonplace in the old era, even considered beginner-level techniques in the current wasteland martial arts system.

But for Cao Dan, every little bit counted.

Cao Dan sat cross-legged, empowered by the golden specialty of [Martial Arts Without Limits].

The words on the two tattered books seemed to come alive, transforming into tiny golden figures that constantly rehearsed in his mind.

"Iron Shirt": Increase skin resilience and muscle density through striking and internal energy vibration.

"Bone-Crushing Hand": A ruthless grappling technique, specializing in targeting human joints and cartilage.

He only used it for two hours.

[You have learned the skill: Iron Shirt (Lv3)]

[You have learned the skill: Bone-Crushing Hand (Lv3)]

A warm current flowed through his body, and Cao Dan clearly felt his skin become much tighter.

The knuckles of his hands also became thicker and stronger; with a slight clench of his fist, his knuckles made a cracking sound like popping beans.

  He opened his panel.

[Internal Qi Value: 3.21 (Slightly Improved)]

  [Constitution: +0.5]

"Indeed, [Martial Arts Limitless] is the greatest cheat code."

Cao Dan sighed with admiration. For an ordinary person, even with a master to guide them, such an incomplete technique would require at least three to five months of arduous practice to even begin to grasp the basics, and reaching Lv3 would take years.

But he, in just two hours, made it as easy as eating and drinking.

  ...

Leaving the training room, it was getting late.

  The living room was quiet.

Zhu Hanhong remained seated on the sofa, having already flipped through more than half of the documents in his hands.

Cao Dan glanced at them again.

  [Target: Zhu Hanhong (Partner)]

  [Status: In Enlightenment]

[Learning New Skill: Cytoplasmic Furnace (Lv1)]

Description: High-density compression of free-floating supernatural abilities, storing them in the mitochondria of various cells in the body. Significantly enhances physique, slows aging, and serves as a backup energy source.

  "Cytoplasmic Furnace?"

This sounds like a high-end product, not some basic skill.

It seems that the deceased Dean Mellon did indeed have some real knowledge.

Cao Dan didn't dare make a sound, tiptoed into the kitchen, and began preparing dinner.

Half an hour later, the aroma of food filled the house.

Just as Cao Dan placed the meat on the table, a long sigh of relief came from the living room.

Zhu Hanhong put down the documents, stood up, and stretched.

  "Mmm~~~"

With a lazy groan, Cao Dan peeked out from the kitchen.

His eyes widened instantly at what he saw.

Zhu Han Hong stood in the afterglow of the setting sun, seemingly glowing.

Her skin was now incredibly fair and translucent, with a warm, jade-like luster.

Even the fine lines around her eyes had vanished, her face appearing as if she had returned to the peak of her collagen-rich youth at eighteen.

Not only her skin, but her figure also seemed to have undergone a subtle change.

It wasn't that she had become fuller, but rather more toned and proportionate, every muscle line brimming with a healthy beauty—an indescribable kind of beauty.

Cao Dan, spatula in hand, stared intently at her.

His gaze swept from her long, straight legs, over her round, pert buttocks, to her full, high breasts, finally settling on her radiant, pretty face.

He looked her up and down, left and right.

He couldn't get enough of her.

Stared at by Cao Dan's burning gaze, Zhu Hanhong lowered her head uncomfortably, two red clouds rising to her cheeks. She said coquettishly,

"Husband...why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

  "Nothing on your face."

Cao Dan swallowed, tossed aside the spatula, and strode over, his voice hoarse, "Wife, you've become so beautiful...I can't resist."

"Oh dear, we haven't eaten yet..."

Before Zhu Hanhong could finish speaking, Cao Dan swept her up in his arms.

"We'll eat later, I'll eat you first!"

Cao Dan carried her towards the bedroom. Zhu Hanhong struggled symbolically for a moment, then obediently wrapped her arms around his neck, her eyes filled with tenderness.

It's no wonder Cao Dan couldn't resist.

After cultivating the [Cellular Furnace], every cell in Zhu Hanhong's body stored supernatural abilities.

Now, she wasn't just more beautiful on the outside; she exuded a mysterious, fatal allure.
