Chapter 8 - civil 5

Bai Xiu, seeing the somber faces of the group, smiled and adjusted his glasses.

"Don't worry, even the strongest defense system has weaknesses. The main function of this observatory base relies on solar energy storage devices distributed throughout the mountains. Many of these devices have been damaged due to years of neglect, resulting in limited energy storage. This means that once night falls, the observatory base's energy reserves are insufficient, rendering many weapons and equipment inoperable. Therefore, the best time to go up is around 1 AM. Going up at night also has its advantages; the effectiveness of various long-neglected surveillance devices within the base will be greatly reduced."

"So, our biggest enemy is still the players?"

Wei Zhang asked with a bright smile.

"That's right. Since ancient times, the hardest thing isn't the dungeon, but our own kind! But don't worry, to ensure a smooth passage through the observatory base this time, I spent 500,000 RMB to buy information from a player who had already cleared it!"

  Bai Xiu said confidently.

  "What information?"

Long Ming and the others all looked at Bai Xiu.

"First, we don't need to rush into the central control room. The first person to go in might not be able to complete the mission, because to complete the mission we need to activate the radio telescope, which consumes a lot of energy. Therefore, it can only be activated during the day, and it also depends on the weather. It gets light here at six o'clock. If the weather is good, we can activate it earlier. If it's cloudy, we might have to wait until 12 o'clock!"

  "I see."

"Besides, I also got the best route through the observatory. Most of the observatory's defensive weapons along this route are either damaged or out of ammunition, making it very safe. I'll share it with you now."

Bai Xiu raised his bracelet and tapped it a few times, then shared the route information with Long Ming and the others.

"Brother Bai Xiu, can I ask you a question?"

Qin Ying asked with some confusion.

  "Sure."

"The equipment and ammo here don't seem to respawn. If we run out of defensive weapons and ammo, can we just go up anywhere?"

  "That's right."

"Wouldn't that make it easier?" "

No, because this instance can only be completed by a maximum of five people at a time. Everyone who comes in will still have to compete for those spots."

Bai Xiu explained to Qin Ying.

At this moment, Xu Lie asked curiously,

"If someone destroys the central control room, won't the people behind be unable to do the mission?"

"Theoretically, yes, unless you know how to repair the control panel, but that thing is so complicated, who would repair it!"

"So, if someone destroys the control panel, they can block everyone's path? Nobody can do the safe mission?" "

No, this observatory base instance is just one of the upgrade channels for the safe mission. It's possible that other instances will be released later to replace it. But who knows what the new instances will be like? Maybe they'll be even more difficult!"

  "I see!"

"Also, I'm warning all of you, nobody is allowed to destroy the central control room!"

  "Why?"

  Xu Lie asked curiously.

"Don't any of you browse the forums? The three major guilds have issued warnings on the forums: no one, including members of their own guilds, is allowed to damage the observatory's central control console. If anyone does, they'll deal with you offline. It won't just be a game anymore; it'll be a matter of life and death."

Bai Xiu said to Xu Lie and the others.

"It's just a game, so why bother? But forget it, I'm not interested in being chased and killed by those guys."

Although Xu Lie and his group were arrogant, it didn't mean they weren't smart.

They knew a little bit about the background of the three major guilds.

Hearing this, Long Ming frowned slightly. For some reason, he felt something was off.

This was clearly just a game, but everything felt so real.

As he explored further, he sometimes couldn't even distinguish between reality and illusion.

  Bang bang~

Gunshots rang out in the distance.

Zhao Chen heard this and quickly said to Qin Ye and the others.

"Young masters, let's go. I reckon quite a few players have already entered the base city."

"Alright, let's head towards the center of the base city first, then find a place to hide and wait for our chance."

  Bai Ye nodded in agreement.

  "Go!"

Qin Ye waved casually to Long Ming and the others.

Long Ming and the other escorts immediately dispersed, some responsible for clearing the way and others for rear security.

They escorted Qin Ye and his group of five towards the center of the base city.

  Half an hour later.

The narrow streets were filled with murky sewage, and rotting corpses floated on the surface.

The abandoned residential buildings on both sides were riddled with bullet holes and charred remains from explosions.

Some buildings were even nearly half-destroyed, teetering on the verge of collapse.

Long Ming looked at the dilapidated buildings as he walked, silently pondering.

When he searched for information about the Watchtower Observatory on the forum, he didn't get much background information about the dungeon, but he did get some important information.

This dungeon wasn't without monsters. This world is ravaged by a mutated virus. When people are infected with this virus, their bodies mutate, turning them into powerful, fleshy monsters. These mutated monsters are incredibly strong, even immune to conventional weapons.

However, these monsters only inhabit certain important and special areas, such as the base city's garrison, the observatory's power room, and secret databases.

Therefore, as long as you don't go near them, you're unlikely to run into them.

Of course, there are definitely good things in the areas they inhabit.

However, basically all players who have completed the Watchtower Base dungeon do not recommend provoking them.

You should know that this dungeon is a 10,000-player dungeon.

Under normal circumstances, the 10,000 players who enter this dungeon should work together to kill these monsters.

Only then can they have a slight chance of winning.

But the current situation is that the dungeon is not even full, and everyone is still fighting each other.

Therefore, provoking those monsters is basically no different from sending yourself to your death.

At this moment, a black gun muzzle silently extended from the window, aiming at Qin Ye and the others who were getting closer and closer.

Inside the window, a player's face showed an excited expression. Just as he was about to pull the trigger,

a mocking voice came from behind.

"What are you so happy about?"

The player's body suddenly trembled, and he turned around abruptly.

He saw Wei Zhang standing behind him.

  Before he could fire.

Wei Zhang pressed down on the gun in the player's hand with one hand, and plunged the tactical knife into the player's chest with the other.

  "How, how is this possible?"

The player fell to the ground in disbelief. His teammates were guarding the stairs outside, so how could the enemy have silently crept up behind him?

"You want to ask about your companions? Don't worry, they're waiting for you outside. You'll see them soon."

Wei Zhang said with a smile, then stomped on the player's wound.

Meanwhile, Long Ming, through the red ghost mask, scanned the distance.

He locked onto the roof of a building ahead, where a figure was crouching. He immediately raised his M24 and fired a burst.

  Bang bang~

(Please remember Taiwan Novel Network for a better experience, 𝔱𝔴𝔨𝔞𝔫.𝔠𝔬𝔪 super powerful website, read the fastest chapter updates)

The player was killed before he could react.

Long Ming then put away the M24 and switched to a rifle, silently searching forward.

Since it was still early before nightfall, Long Ming and his group weren't in a hurry, slowly clearing the area.

On the street, Qin Ye and his group advanced under the protection of others.

"You really do get what you pay for. This mission is much easier. At the current pace, we should be able to reach the observatory base soon," Lu

Xu said, gazing into the distance with a cheerful expression.

  Wang Yin echoed his confidence.

"That's right, it looks like we really have a chance to light up the observatory and complete the mission!"

"Don't be too careless, we haven't even entered the observatory yet,"

  Bai Xiu cautiously reminded them.

"What's there to be afraid of? We've hired so many experts this time, anyone who gets in our way will be killed!"

Qin Ye was also extremely arrogant and confident, completely forgetting his previous worried expression.

Three kilometers away, on the rooftop of a building.

A tall girl, wearing a white, form-fitting combat suit, with her silver-white hair styled in an updo and adorned with an exquisite hairpin, wearing a fox mask that revealed her azure eyes, and exuding a fierce aura, gazed at the entire base city.

Four people stood beside her, the one on the far left being a strong man in a khaki combat suit, holding an assault rifle and with sharp eyes. Beside him stood a tall, thin young man with thick glasses, a pale face, and carrying military binoculars.

To his right stood a middle-aged man, 2.3 meters tall, with muscles like steel, wearing heavy bulletproof vest and carrying a special metal shield, and a burly man with a full beard, holding a Gatling gun.

Behind them stood players from the Stars Guild, all wearing military bulletproof vests, carrying various weapons, and wearing armbands with seven different colored stars on their shoulders.

"Guild Leader Luo Bing, we've spotted a big fish!"

the man with binoculars reported in surprise.

  "What big fish?"

Qian Luo Bing replied coldly upon hearing Jiang Huai's words.

"A team of over twenty elite soldiers, most of whom are escort mercenaries, each extremely skilled, quickly eliminating them. These guys might be a threat to us,"

Jiang Huai reported respectfully to Qian Luo Bing.

"Tch, what do you think they are? Just mercenaries. These mercenaries only know how to bully the weak, what skills could they possibly have?"

Adika, dressed in a khaki combat uniform, said disdainfully.

  "Adika, don't underestimate them."

Eric put down his metal shield and warned in a deep voice.

"Hmph, it's not that I underestimate them, but that you overestimate them. Do you think these mercenaries are stronger than us elite special forces soldiers?"

Adika didn't take Long Ming and the others seriously at all.

At this moment, Qian Luobing spoke coldly.

  "Eliminate them!"

"Commander Luobing, let me do it!"

Adika stepped forward and volunteered when he heard Qian Luobing speak.

  "Go."

Qian Luobing raised her hand and waved, coldly giving the order.

  "Go!"

Adika turned and led some people away.

  ...

  In a narrow alley.

A figure nimbly darted into a two-story detached building.

At this moment, Long Ming emerged from around the corner and headed towards the building.

He quickly and silently entered the building.

  Thump, thump—

footsteps echoed from the second floor.

Long Ming cautiously made his way up the stairs and arrived at the master bedroom door.

There, he saw a thin man with sallow skin, wearing a gray leather jacket, excitedly prying open a safe.

Long Ming watched this scene, leaning against the bedroom doorframe and observing quietly.

The man was so engrossed in his work that he didn't notice anyone behind him.

  Click!

  The safe was pried open.

The man, seeing what was inside, burst into excited laughter.

"Haha, I'm rich! I'm so smart!"

"What did you find? Why are you so happy?"

Long Ming asked in a low voice.

  "Of course it's..."

The man's words trailed off as he suddenly turned around in surprise.

  "Thank you!"

Long Ming then pulled the trigger of the venomous fang.

  Swoosh~

Accompanied by splattered blood, the man watched Long Ming fall unwillingly, his body gradually turning into specks of light and disappearing, leaving behind a backpack.

Long Ming stepped forward to inspect the fallen backpack.

It was filled with all sorts of miscellaneous tools; the only valuable item was an old-fashioned revolver.

Long Ming chuckled, surprised that even this bag had a culprit. He then looked at the safe.

Inside, he saw a file folder and an exquisite gemstone bracelet.

Long Ming scanned it with his bracelet.

  The bracelet's

  quality was: Red

  Unopened File Folder

Note: There's a chance to obtain various documents.

Long Ming was quite surprised by the bracelet's message; the products were pretty good.

If he wasn't mistaken, this unopened file folder likely contained documents.

Its value depended on the quality of the documents obtained, but given its red-quality contents, it probably wouldn't be too bad.

However, generally speaking, unopened items are more valuable, as many people are willing to gamble on the probability.

Long Ming then scanned the turquoise bracelet into the safe and stuffed the file folder into his backpack.

He then began searching the building.

  ...

At this moment, on the rooftop of a dilapidated building,

a player wearing the Stars Guild badge, holding a high-strength compound bow, stared intently at the building ahead, slowly drawing back the bowstring.

Soon, the door of the building was slowly pushed open.

Fimi peeked out, looked around to make sure there was no danger, then stepped out and continued exploring.

  *Whoosh!*

  Instantly, an arrow shot out.

Just as Fimi sensed something was wrong...

  *Crack!

  * The arrow struck him squarely in the back of the neck!

Fimi's eyes widened, and he fell to the ground unwillingly.

  ...

  In the rear area.

Joseph gripped his automatic rifle, occasionally stopping to glance around. After confirming there was nothing amiss, he continued forward.

Although his responsibility for the rear was relatively easier, Joseph didn't dare to be careless.

However, as he passed a small crossroads, suddenly a hand reached out from behind and covered his mouth, while another hand grabbed his weapon.

  "Damn it!"

Joseph lashed out with an elbow strike.

But the man behind him gritted his teeth and endured it.

Just as Joseph was about to retaliate further, another member of the Star Guild in combat gear rushed forward and plunged a knife into his heart.

Joseph's pupils dilated instantly, but he still mustered his last breath and pulled the pin on a grenade on his tactical belt.

"Damn it, get out of the way!"

The two Star Guild members noticed the pin had fallen off, their expressions changed drastically, and they turned and ran.

  Boom!

  A huge explosion rang out.

Qin Ye and the others were startled and immediately turned around to look.

"What's going on? Are there enemies behind us?"

"Young Master, something seems wrong. Everyone on alert!"

Zhao Chen gave orders to everyone with some unease.

At this moment, Adika heard the explosion and was also extremely annoyed, cursing at a strong man next to him.

"Lu Chuan, what were you doing? I told you not to make any noise."

Taiwan Novel Network solves book drought, 𝑡𝑤𝑘𝑎𝑛.𝑐𝑜𝑚 is super practical.

"Captain Adika, I specifically instructed them, who knew this would still happen."

Lu Chuan also cursed those two idiots in his heart.

  "Everyone, follow me!"

Adika waved his hand and led his men to completely surround the enemy.

At this moment, Long Ming, who was searching the room, stopped immediately when he heard the sound of the grenade exploding.

He immediately realized that something was wrong; the thunder came from behind.

They had already cleared the area along the way; even if some had escaped, there was no need to use grenades.

This would be too loud and easily expose their position. The veterans in the team shouldn't make such a basic mistake.

Thinking this, Long Ming was about to leave the room

when he suddenly heard faint footsteps outside. Clearly, someone had infiltrated.

And there was more than one person. He immediately rushed to the window.

A flashbang was thrown in shortly after.

  Bang!

  A bright flash followed.

Two players from the Stars Guild rushed in, only to find the room empty.

They saw the window open, a gentle breeze ruffling the old curtains.

The two immediately rushed to the window and glanced inside, then angrily exclaimed,

  "Damn it, we've been exposed!"

  "Chase!"

The two turned and ran outside.

  Creak!

Suddenly, the cabinet door was pushed open.

The two heard the noise and their hearts skipped a beat. Instinctively, they turned around.

They saw Long Ming emerge from the cabinet, gripping his fang and rapidly pulling the trigger.

  *Whoosh! Whoosh!*

The two men were instantly hit by several shots and fell unwillingly to the ground.

After dealing with the two, Long Ming went forward to loot, taking a smoke grenade and a flashbang, and then quickly left.

On the other side, Zhao Chen and Qin Ye were about to retreat when suddenly

  , *Bang!

  * A muffled gunshot rang out.

One of Qin Ye's escorts was hit by a sniper rifle; even his bulletproof vest couldn't withstand the hit, and he fell to the ground.

At this moment, Adika and thirty men launched a surprise attack, spraying bullets at Qin Ye and his group.

  *Bang! Bang!

  * "Damn it, enemy attack! Scatter!"

Caught off guard, Qin Ye and his men could only scatter, some hiding behind wrecked vehicles, others near buildings.

Immediately afterward, Zhao Chen and his men launched a powerful counterattack, pulling the pins and throwing high-explosive grenades.

Adika and his men quickly dodged!

  *Boom!*

  Explosions rose one after another.

Zhao Chen and his men seized the opportunity and fiercely counterattacked Adika and his men.

  *Bang! Bang!*

Adika and his group's offensive stalled, forcing them to rely on cover for cover.

The two sides exchanged fire continuously, bullets scattering sparks as they hit the cover.

  "Ah~"

One by one, personnel from both sides fell.

It must be said that the escorts protecting Qin Ye were all incredibly strong, not easily defeated even by professional opponents.

"Damn it, who are these people?!"

  Qin Ye cursed angrily.

"Young Master, they're from the Stars Guild,"

Zhao Chen said quickly, glancing at the other party's armband.

"Damn, how did we run into these people so quickly?"

Qin Ye was dumbfounded; they had thought they wouldn't encounter the three major guilds until they reached the observatory, but they'd run into them already.

At this moment, Adika, seeing Qin Ye and his group stubbornly resisting behind the vehicle, raised his hand and waved.

A subordinate carrying a rocket launcher stepped forward.

Xu Lie, seeing this, changed his expression and shouted to Qin Ye and the others.

"Rocket launcher, get out of the way!"

Qin Ye and the others' faces darkened upon hearing this, and they immediately ran backward.

  Whoosh!

A rocket shot out, hitting the wrecked car squarely.

  Boom!

  The entire car exploded.

  "Charge!"

  Adika led his men forward.

"Scatter and run, or you're all done for!"

Bai Xiu shouted anxiously to the group upon seeing this.

Qin Ye and the others then scattered, each with a few escorts, to escape.

"Trying to run? Chase after them!"

Adika personally led his men in pursuit of Qin Ye, while Lu Chuan and the others split up to hunt down Wang Yin and his group.

In the maze of alleyways, Long Ming's heart sank at the sound of gunfire, and he quickened his pace.

If Qin Ye and Qin Ying were killed, his money would be gone.

Suddenly, a man with light brown hair, broad shoulders, powerful muscles, a high nose, wearing combat gear and the Star Guild armband, rushed out from around the corner, raising his submachine gun to fire.

Long Ming reacted faster, raising his carbine and firing back.

The man was startled and quickly retreated behind the corner.

Seeing this, Long Ming immediately hid behind a nearby utility pole, aiming his gun at the corner.

Then, the man pulled out a grenade, timed it two seconds, and threw it from around the corner.

Long Ming's eyes narrowed; instead of dodging, he charged forward and kicked the grenade. The

grenade, before it even hit the ground, was sent flying back.

The man had just poked his head out, ready to fire a finishing shot, when he saw the grenade flying back towards him. His expression changed drastically, and he jumped back.

  Boom!

  A massive explosion swept outwards.

Although the man dodged the deadly blast, he was still reeling from the shockwave.

His head was buzzing, and he couldn't get up for a moment.

At this moment, Long Ming walked over, raised his venomous fang, and aimed it at the fallen man, about to finish him off.

But when he saw the man's face clearly, he was stunned.

This guy was actually his college classmate, Zhou Li.

He remembered that after graduation, hadn't this guy joined the army of Shancheng Mountain?

At this moment, Zhou Li struggled to raise his head, looked at the approaching Long Ming, and was about to raise his gun to fight back.

Long Ming fired directly, killing him with one shot.

He glanced at the dead Zhou Li and immediately turned and ran back.

On the other side, Dino and Xu Lie covered Wang Yin as they hid in a detached building.

"Those bastards from the Stars are complete lunatics! Why are they chasing us like this?!"

Wang Yin cursed through gritted teeth.

"Young Master Wang, it's no use saying anything now. It's either them or us who die."

Dino gripped his automatic rifle, vigilantly scanning the doors and windows.

At this moment, Lu Chuan, along with his subordinates, surrounded the building.

He didn't force a assault, but instead raised his hand and made a tactical gesture to his men.

One of his men reached the side wall, picked up a portable explosive charge, stuck it to the wall, and then quickly retreated!

Inside, Wang Yin, hearing the silence outside, asked uncertainly,

  "They're not chasing us anymore?"

"Hmph, don't dream about it. Do you really think they're just ordinary players? To put it bluntly, these guys are all special forces personnel from Shancheng Mountain."

  Dino coldly mocked.

(End of Chapter)-+  Chapter 76 Death (Second Update)

"What? You said they were all regular troops?"

  Wang Yin was dumbfounded.

"Otherwise, how could they have beaten us so badly?"

Dino's nerves were stretched to the limit.

  Boom!

Suddenly, a huge explosion swept out, the side wall of the house was blown open, and the blasted cement blocks rushed into the living room.

Immediately afterwards, two melon grenades were thrown into the living room.

Seeing this, Dino quickly pulled down the sofa to cover himself and Wang Yin.

  Boom!

  A huge explosion swept out.

Two players from the Star Guild took the opportunity to rush in.

  "Ah!"

At this moment, Xu Lie suddenly rushed out from the side kitchen, raised his gun and opened fire.

  Bang bang!

The two players were directly hit and killed.

At this moment, Lu Chuan also rushed in with his men and opened fire on Xu Lie.

Xu Lie was hit by more than a dozen shots and fell down unwillingly.

At this moment, Dino used the sofa as cover and fired at Lu Chuan and his men who rushed in.

In an instant, one of Lu Chuan's subordinates was hit by several shots and died instantly.

Lu Chuan and his group retreated while returning fire.

  The next second,

  bang!

  The door was kicked open.

Several players from the Stars Guild rushed in.

Dino immediately turned around and fired wildly with his rifle.

  "Ah!"

A player was instantly killed by a headshot.

"Damn it, all of you die!"

At this moment, Wang Yin, who was lying on the ground, also stood up recklessly, raised his M411 rifle, and sprayed bullets at the players rushing in through the door.

Seeing this, Lu Chuan and his group rushed in again, throwing in high-explosive grenades one after another.

  "Damn it!"

Dino cursed helplessly as he looked at the high-explosive grenades thrown in.

  Boom!

The huge explosion blew the two of them to pieces.

  On the street,

Zhao Chen and Yan Huai covered Qin Ye and Qin Ying's escape.

Adika relentlessly pursued them, firing continuously.

Yan Huai was instantly shot in the head, his eyes wide open, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

  "Young Master, run!"

Seeing Yan Huai killed, Zhao Chen stopped and hid behind a car, firing wildly at Adika and his men.

Adika and his men immediately took cover.

Qin Ye and Qin Ying ran forward desperately.

Soon, Zhao Chen's magazine was empty.

As he quickly reloaded, one of Adika's subordinates circled around and opened fire.

  "Ah!" Zhao Chen

was riddled with bullets and fell to the ground unwillingly.

Hearing the scream, Qin Ye turned around and saw Zhao Chen dead. His face turned green, and he ran forward desperately.

At this moment, Adika, having dealt with the troublesome Zhao Chen, immediately led his men to chase after Qin Ye and Qin Ying.

Just as Qin Ye and Qin Ying were about to be caught,

Long Ming suddenly appeared from a side alley, raised his carbine, and fired a grenade.

  "Dodge!"

Adika's expression changed drastically, and he immediately rolled to dodge.

  Boom!

  A huge explosion rose up.

  "Red Ghost!"

Qin Ye and his companion were startled, but upon recognizing Long Ming, they exclaimed joyfully.

  "Go!"

Long Ming didn't waste any words, leading Qin Ye and his companion quickly into the alley.

Adika, his face grim, shouted to his subordinates,

  "Chase!"

  "Yes, sir!"

Many subordinates followed Adika in pursuit.

Hearing the commotion behind them, Long Ming frowned and led Qin Ye and his companion through a maze of paths, trying to shake off their pursuers.

However, this maneuver not only failed to shake them off, but the distance actually closed, as if the pursuers were using cheat codes.

Long Ming's eyes turned cold. After rounding a bend, he reached into his tactical belt, pulled the pins on two high-explosive grenades, and threw them on the ground.

When Adika and his men reached the bend, they immediately saw the two high-explosive grenades on the ground.

  "Damn it, grenades!"

One of his subordinates leaped forward.

Adika and his men immediately retreated!

  Boom!

The massive explosion ripped the player to pieces, splattering blood and flesh everywhere.

Adika, recovering from his shock, looked at his dead subordinate, his expression darkening further. He coldly ordered,

  "Chase after them!"

  "Yes, sir!"

  His subordinates angrily gave chase.

Meanwhile, Long Ming, leading Qin Ye and Qin Ying, reached a corner.

Qin Ye, panting, asked Long Ming,

"Red Ghost, what do we do now? Those bastards are catching up soon, we can't shake them off!"

After listening to Qin Ye's words, Long Ming turned to look at the distance. There were two forks in the road ahead, so he hoarsely said to Qin Ye and Qin Ying,

"You two escape through the right fork ahead and run towards the center of the base city. I'll lure them away through the left fork, and then I'll come find you."

  "Okay, it's up to you."

Qin Ye didn't hesitate at all and immediately led Qin Ying away through the right fork ahead.

Long Ming ran to the left fork ahead and stopped, quickly changing his magazine.

Soon, Adika and his men caught up.

Long Ming decisively leaned out and fired wildly at Adika and his men.

  Bang! Bang!

  "Ah!"

One of Adika's subordinates was hit and cried out in pain before falling to the ground.

A player from the Star Guild immediately reached out and pulled his wounded companion back, then took out a syringe and injected him.

Adika and his men immediately raised their weapons and returned fire at Long Ming.

  Long Ming turned and ran!

  "Left, chase!"

Adika's face was grim as he led his men in pursuit.

As Long Ming fled, he would occasionally stop and fire a few shots at Adika and the others, weaving them through the residential area.

Adika was furious; Long Ming was not only incredibly fast but also as slippery as an eel.

"Captain, who is this guy? He's so difficult to deal with!"

Huo Liang looked like he'd seen a ghost; this was the first time they'd encountered such a formidable enemy.

"Even if he's difficult, we have to kill him!"

  Adika cursed viciously.

Just then, Long Ming ran past a building, then retreated, looking at a galvanized pipe on the wall.

He immediately grabbed the pipe, quickly climbed onto the roof, raised his carbine, and unleashed a barrage of fire at Adika and the others who were chasing after him.

  Bang! Bang!

  "Ah!"

Two players from the Stars Guild were instantly killed.

  "Damn it!"

Adika roared in fury, firing back at Long Ming on the roof.

Long Ming activated his power mechanical shoes, dashed towards a neighboring house, leaped over, and landed lightly on the roof of the adjacent building.

Seeing this, Adika and his men immediately turned their guns.

But before they could fire, Long Ming quickly jumped to the next house and ran further and further away!

"Captain Adika, that guy got away, what do we do now?"

  Huo Liang asked, bewildered.

  "Damn it!"

Adika slapped his thigh, his face ashen.

He had confidently assured Captain Luo Bing that he could easily wipe out these mercenaries, but now they had lost over a dozen men, and several had escaped.

At this moment, a subordinate rushed over and reported to Adika,

"Captain, Captain Luo Bing is here."

  "Let's go!"

Adika had no choice but to lead his men in a retreat.
