Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Luo Tian sat in his room, cross-legged, looking at the system for the game he always played. Luo Tian entered the simulation.

He was getting a little bored because he couldn't find any other users, he didn't know that the global chat existed in his system. He could see people chatting with each other. Luo Tian got excited seeing active people in the global chat.

"Empress: The Spirit Jade Grass only grows in the Celestial Rift. I want to get it.

Elder Chen: Your Majesty… the Rift is beyond our reach. Even our combined strength cannot get it.

Elder Li: It is not just strength. A lot of Legendary beast reside there. Any intruder who enter will face death.

Lord Xuan: The Spirit Jade Grass may wait for no one. But fools who enter will die.

Elder Zhao: We cannot guide anyone there. The Rift repels all cultivator below the Immortal Ascension Realm.

Empress: I understand the risk. But I really need it. There's no other choice.

Elder Sun: Your Majesty… this is not a simple expedition. Even immortals hesitate to enter.

Lord Xuan: Then perhaps the Rift itself is the test. Those who survive… may claim more than grass.

Elder Gao: We can only watch, Your Majesty, and pray that fate favors you."

Luo Tian didn't know what they were talking about. He thought they were strong because he couldn't understand them. Luo Tian's thoughts: "Should I ask to team up? They seem strong."

Before Luo Tian asked the elders, who he thought were roleplaying, he hunted some monsters.

[Spirit Howler Wolf] 80Lv

[Spirit Howler Wolf] 80Lv

[Spirit Howler Wolf] 80Lv

Luo Tian thought, "They're strong and there are three of them… Dragon Fang Slash!" He fought all three and killed them in one blow, gaining experience points.

"+500 experience points"

Luo Tian leveled up to 91Lv. As he went deeper, he found a boss monster. Luo Tian hid and prepared.

[Void Serpent] 85Lv

It was below his level, but strong.

The serpent was poisonous, and its scales couldn't be cut by his sword. Luo Tian had only one skill left to kill it: "Heavenly Crescent Blade!!!"

Luo Tian took down the Void Serpent.

It dropped an item called "[Voidstep Boots]" that allowed short-range teleportation. Luo Tian was surprised. "Finally, a loot!" He tried the boots. The first attempt made him bump into a tree. "Aww! That hurts!" He tried again. It worked.

The boots also had a function that let him hide them.

Luo Tian opened the global chat to ask, "Hey, still playing this game after all these years?" He said it in the global chat. The five elders were shocked. The Empress, holding the jade slip, noticed someone messaging. Only nobles and those recognized as the strongest could get a jade slip to communicate, but Luo Tian didn't know that.

The five elders couldn't see any information about Luo Tian. They shared thoughts among themselves. "This must be someone strong we never knew." Elder Li asked Luo Tian, "Esteemed Daoist, may we ask who you might be?"

Luo Tian thought they were roleplaying.

He wanted to play along and gave them a nickname without hesitation: "Dao Tyrant."

The elders and Empress were shocked. They thought he must be a powerful figure or from the immortal realm interacting with the mortal realm.

Elder Zhao said privately, "Dao Tyrant means one who dominates the laws of the Dao effortlessly." The Empress and other elders thought, "He's a bigshot. We must make a good relationship with him!" They wondered, "What game is he referring to?"

Elder Sun said, and Lord Xuan added, "He must be referring to the Celestial Rift or the mortal world."

They overthought what Luo Tian's game might refer to.

Luo Tian, thinking they were ignoring him, asked differently, "What are you guys talking about?" He innocently asked what it was, but the elders and Empress misunderstood him. Elder Sun thought, "He already knows what we're talking about." Luo Tian thought they were talking nonsense again.

Elder Gao asked without hesitation, "Lord Dao, where are you right now?"

The other elders were surprised. The Empress scolded Elder Gao. Luo Tian didn't mind and said he was hunting monsters in the Celestial Rift. He asked if they wanted to join: "Would you guys want to join me to hunt?"They hesitated and rejected his invitation because it was forbidden lands.

They thought his name fit perfectly there.

They praised Luo Tian's power and cultivation, holding the title of Dao Tyrant. They spouted nonsense about how dangerous the Celestial Rift was. Luo Tian ignored them, closed the global chat, and left the simulation game.
