Chapter 24 - Another Outburst! Elite Level 9!

The cold tip of the spear pierced through the back of the burly man.

The man's body jerked violently, and one large hand, like an iron clamp, gripped the spear tightly!

The sharp Nex on the spearhead instantly cut through his palm, but he still held on desperately!

His battle-worn eyes locked onto the nearby gargoyle youth with a fierce intensity.

"Not satisfied?"

The gargoyle youth felt uncomfortable under the dying gaze, then shifted to deeper mockery and contempt.

"But what can you do?"

"To become my stepping stone is your honor!"

He twisted his wrist, aiming to finish the man off completely.

However, the burly man grinned manically.

"Honor? Hahaha…"

"You little stone brat, let me... teach you one last lesson!"

Before the words even finished,

He suddenly let go of the spear with his hand!

At the same time, he didn't retreat but instead charged forward, stepping into the spear's path, forcing it deeper into his body!

In that instant,

The nearly broken Ironstrike sword in his hand was swung with incredible speed toward the gargoyle youth's head!

At such close range and with such a desperate attack,

The gargoyle youth did not expect such a violent counterattack. Terrified, he barely managed to tilt his head to avoid the strike.

Crack!

The Ironstrike sword slammed into the gargoyle youth's left shoulder blade!

A sickening crack echoed through the air!

"Ahhh—!"

The gargoyle youth let out a furious scream, his body rocked by the powerful blow.

"You filthy ant! You shall die!!"

The intense pain and overwhelming shame broke his defense, and the flames in his eyes almost erupted.

He exploded with Nex, and in a massive crash, the burly man's body was blown apart into a shower of blood mist.

But the injury on the gargoyle youth's left shoulder remained, the first wound among the seven young gargoyle geniuses, and it was dealt by a nearly crushed prey!

"Damn it… damn it!!"

He roared in rage, no longer caring about the thrill of the hunt. With a flap of his wings, he dove directly into the dense group of human soldiers below.

His spear swung wildly, slaughtering indiscriminately, venting his immense anger and shame.

"Bastard!"

Herbert's eyes nearly burst with anger as he charged out from the battle, wielding his battle axe to face the frenzied gargoyle youth.

"Die!"

The gargoyle youth's killing intent surged, no longer holding back.

Each strike of his spear carried the terrifying power of an Elite-level warrior, combined with the exquisite combat skills of the gargoyle race, pushing Herbert back with each blow, blood pouring from his mouth.

But Herbert remained steadfast, like a rock rooted to the ground, blocking the youth's path.

In the sky, Black Falcon saw Herbert's plight and felt a burning rage inside.

His figure moved, intending to charge down and crush that gargoyle bastard first.

"Human, your opponent is me!"

A cold voice rang out, accompanied by a powerful aura that pressed down like a mountain.

"Below is the young masters' trial ground. Life and death for those below the Expert level are by fate."

"If you dare interfere... I don't mind taking your head off early!"

Black Falcon's fists crackled, his voice chilling.

"Do you think the true genius of humanity is too busy to look elsewhere, so you send these little brats here to flaunt their power?!"

"If you have the guts, let them come to the core battlefield of the Iron Wall and face our geniuses!"

"A bunch of rats who only dare to squeeze the soft targets on the fringe! How dare you call yourselves geniuses? Pah!"

"You're seeking death!"

The high-ranking gargoyle was hit where it hurt most, and his killing intent exploded.

He attacked Black Falcon with unmatched ferocity, not giving him a moment's chance to escape.

...

"Tetra, look at your men, they are being cleaned up by our noble young masters like prey."

Bonecrusher Quin sneered while engaging Tetra in battle, trying to undermine his resolve.

Tetra watched as another familiar Elite-level officer was killed by a gargoyle prodigy, his heart aching like a knife cutting through it.

But his face remained emotionless, and his attacks became even more frantic and reckless.

"Rest assured, before the last drop of blood from my human warriors is spilled, I will ensure all of you filthy minions die here!"

"Hehehe, let's wait and see."

Quin sneered.

...

In the side peak military camp, inside the tent.

A dense, blood-red glow blazed around Raine's body like a fiery flame!

The air was thick with strong life energy and a faint blood pressure.

After being treated with the life-healing potion and nourished by the blood energy, his injuries had stabilized, and his body had also been strengthened.

He looked at the system interface.

[Host: Raine·Valeri]

[Talent: Blood Devourer]

[Rank: Formal Level 3]

[Bloodstone: 5736]

[Abilities: Bewitching Eye (Intermediate), Stoneform Skin (Low-level)]

[Ding! Temporary promotion to Elite Level 9, requires 5098 bloodstones, duration: 1 hour.]

[Confirm?]

After securing this position, Captain Aaron and the others rushed directly to the front lines!

It's unimaginable how intense the fighting must be there!

He could not sit idly by.

"Confirm!"

"I must return to the battlefield!"

Raine's eyes snapped open, the blood-red glow receding.

...

On the main battlefield, Herbert was like a blood-soaked man.

His left arm hung unnaturally, with his ribs caved in, and his battle axe was reduced to a broken haft.

But even at this point, he staggered to his feet, standing in front of the gargoyle youth.

The gargoyle youth sneered repeatedly, no longer satisfied with simply killing Herbert.

He wanted to crush and torment this stubborn ant in the most cruel way!

To make the lowly humans witness the most tragic death of their comrades!

Watching Herbert being toyed with and brutally beaten, Black Falcon's blood boiled, his eyes turning red in fury!

Herbert was one of his oldest brothers, someone who had fought beside him through countless battlefields.

Only during their brief rest at the Iron Dragon Fortress had they found respite.

How many times had they fought side by side on the edge of death, never falling?

Now, would he become a sacrifice to these damn alien race geniuses, to sharpen their claws and prove their power?

It was the greatest insult to the honor of warriors!

But he was trapped by the gargoyle, unable to break free.

On the main battlefield,

The 2,000 reinforcements that had rushed in had already lost several hundred.

Gore was being attacked by two Trainee-level shadowclaw beasts, with deep wounds on his body.

Eventually, he was slammed into the muddy ground by brute force.

One shadowclaw beast's claw came down to strike Gore's unprotected head!

"Old man!!"

Matthew's eyes widened in horror, roaring as he desperately charged toward him.

But the distance was too great, and it seemed the fatal claws would devour Gore!

In that critical moment,

A blood-red afterimage shot past at an unbelievable speed, too fast to follow with the naked eye!

Crack!

Crack!

Two sharp, cracking sounds rang out simultaneously!

The heads of the two shadowclaw beasts flew high into the air!

Blood spurted out like two fountains, splashing all over Gore's stunned face.

Gore's pupils contracted sharply.

Matthew's charging momentum paused, his gaze following the dark red afterimage in shock as it disappeared.
