Finally, the big guy, Wayne, lifted his ass and leaned toward Gordon—only to get slapped hard.
"Oh yeah, just as expected. Your ass feels the best. Guess it's you again tonight."
Wayne's face flushed red. He forced himself to stay calm while watching Jack slaughter everyone on the video feed.
This is what a real man looks like, he thought. Strong as hell.
Inside the Inxi Military Base, Jack descended slowly and surveyed the surrounding military equipment.
"Ancient junk," he muttered.
The patrol soldiers froze when they saw him land. A second later, they chambered their rounds and aimed their rifles at him, shouting in a language Jack didn't understand.
Jack didn't bother listening.
Three steel marbles rose into the air, guided by Telekinesis, and punched clean through the soldiers' skulls.
More than a dozen troops dropped instantly. Before dying, however, they managed to transmit an emergency alert.
Watching the feed, the Inxi command hurriedly mobilized their forces to encircle Jack.
But the single minute it took them to react was more than enough for him.
Jack formed a hand seal and activated Lightning Attraction.
Ten seconds later, dark clouds gathered directly above the military base—only the base. Outside its perimeter, the sky remained perfectly clear.
Boom!
Lightning crashed down, striking the core power facilities. Sparks exploded everywhere, alarms screamed, and emergency lights flickered to life.
Jack could already hear tanks rolling in, metal treads grinding against the ground.
He didn't care.
Within seconds, lightning poured down like silver serpents. Buildings collapsed, equipment fried, and even tanks ground to a halt.
The tanks themselves survived—but the crews inside didn't.
Troops rushing in were struck mid-movement. Their legs twitched once before they collapsed, dead on the spot.
Several lightning bolts slammed into Jack as well—but he absorbed them effortlessly.
Energy Absorption, courtesy of Electro.
Electro was currently working inside HYDRA's power grid, maintaining infrastructure and using it to track others with similar abilities.
After thirty seconds, the thunderclouds dispersed. Sunlight briefly returned—only to be swallowed again by dense rain clouds.
The base commander, regaining his nerve, barked orders for a full encirclement.
Jack watched quietly as soldiers gathered around him. He raised both hands in surrender.
Within ten meters, troops packed tightly together. Behind them, tanks rolled into position, cannons locked on him.
Jack smiled.
The commander saw the mocking grin and nearly blew a gasket, screaming orders Jack didn't understand—and didn't care to.
Good, Jack thought. Enough people.
He raised both hands high, like some cheap Super Saiyan knockoff, and released the electrical energy stored inside him.
Lightning erupted from his body in branching arcs.
Every soldier nearby was instantly overloaded. Nervous systems fried. Brains shut down. Bodies dropped.
Tank crews farther away panicked. One gunner fired a shell and immediately ordered a retreat.
Too late.
Jack blurred and reappeared atop the tank. One stomp crushed the hatch inward, killing the crew instantly.
Other tanks swung their cannons toward him.
Jack bounced from tank to tank, each heavy stomp disabling another machine. The turrets couldn't track him fast enough.
But eventually, someone got lucky.
Boom!
A shell predicted Jack's landing point and blasted him into a corner of the base.
The remaining tanks didn't hesitate.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Three shells slammed into the same spot, explosions overlapping, smoke and debris filling the air.
For a moment, no one could see anything.
They thought it was over.
Then—
Boom!
A tank hatch was forced open from the inside. Jack shoved a grenade in.
The second explosion followed immediately.
Using Telekinesis, Jack ripped open the hatches of the remaining tanks and casually tossed grenades inside.
In the underground command center, the base commander went pale and turned to run.
Before fleeing through the secret tunnel, he barked one last order:
"All units—prepare for battle!"
At the same time, Inxi's high command watched the massacre via U.S. military satellite.
Their faces drained of color.
This wasn't combat.
It was a natural disaster wearing human skin.
Jack surveyed the battlefield. No one was left standing. Anyone who could run had already fled.
Except one.
A young sniper lay prone in the distance, scope trained on Jack. As Jack turned his head slightly, the sniper fired, confident in his shot.
But through the scope, the bullet's impact point was suddenly replaced by a fist.
No… that's impossible—
The thought never finished.
If the footage were slowed down, it would show the bullet—fingerprints pressed into its casing—flying back along its original path, punching through the scope and straight through the sniper's skull.
Jack lifted himself into the air with Telekinesis and pulled Pumpkin Bombs from the system's production line.
Then he began carpet-bombing the base.
Everywhere he passed was reduced to scorched ruin.
The Pumpkin Bombs inside Jack's storage were practically endless. After checking, he realized he'd used less than one percent.
Based on today alone, there were at least twenty thousand Pumpkin Bombs waiting in reserve.
