Chapter 40: You Used a Sneak Attack! No Martial Ethics!
Gray chased all the way and finally caught up with Natsu at a port.
At the port, seeing three figures not far away, Gray's face darkened.
When he heard Natsu speaking earlier, it was only Natsu and Happy, but now there was one more person.
Looking closely, the extra person was the newly joined Lucy.
Unable to find a boat to Galuna Island, Natsu was waiting anxiously at the port.
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind.
"Natsu, you flame-brained idiot! Stop right there!"
Hearing that familiar voice, Natsu turned around and looked at Gray behind him with annoyance.
"Why is this guy here?!"
Seeing Natsu's annoyed face, Gray frowned, walked straight up to Natsu, grabbed his collar, and shouted, "You idiot! Do you know what you're doing?!"
"Of course I know. Let go of me."
Natsu slapped Gray's hand away and said with fighting spirit, "I'm going to complete an S-Class request. I want to prove to the Guild Master that I'm strong enough to be an S-Class mage!"
"Idiot!"
Gray cursed, pointing at the three of them. "The Guild Master knows you stole the S-Class request sheet, so he sent me to bring you back!"
"If you persist, the next people coming will be Erza and Ren!"
As Gray's words fell, Happy and Lucy's expressions changed drastically.
Immediately, Happy flew to Gray's side, crossing his arms and saying to Natsu, "Natsu, let's go back. This request isn't something we can handle."
"Yeah, yeah, Natsu. Let's go back and apologize to the Guild Master."
Hearing Erza and Ren's names, Lucy and Happy instantly chickened out.
Suddenly, it was three against one.
"Hmph, even if I'm alone, I'm going to Galuna Island to complete this request."
Seeing the traitorous Happy and Lucy, Natsu shouted loudly.
Suddenly, a boat sailed over from the distance.
Natsu's eyes lit up. He leaped from the dock, jumping directly onto the boat.
Startled by Natsu's sudden appearance, the captain on the boat hurriedly raised a weapon, looking at Natsu nervously.
"Don't be nervous. I'm going to Galuna Island. Can you give me a ride?"
Standing on the deck, Natsu's face turned extremely ugly, but he squeezed out a smile and asked the boatman.
Hearing the name of that island from Natsu's mouth, the boatman shook his head immediately.
"That island is cursed. There are demons on it. I won't go!"
"Natsu! You bastard!"
Natsu suddenly jumping onto the boat caught Gray off guard.
"Ice-Make: Eagle!"
A blue magic circle appeared under Gray's feet, and a lifelike ice-blue eagle appeared behind him.
Gray leaped onto the eagle's back.
Under Gray's control, the eagle swooped straight for the boat.
Seeing this, Natsu was about to use magic.
But with the swaying of the boat, Natsu's face turned ugly, and he almost vomited.
Gray jumped onto the deck, grabbing Natsu's arm to drag him back to shore.
But after seeing that both Gray and Natsu were mages, the boatman's eyes suddenly lit up, and he hurriedly said to them, "Are you both mages? If you are mages, I can take you to Galuna Island!"
Gray was about to refuse when the captured Natsu suddenly erupted.
He punched the back of Gray's head. Gray turned to glare at Natsu, then fainted.
"Sneak attack! No martial ethics!"
After knocking Gray out, Natsu shouted to Lucy and Happy on the shore, "Now we're all in the same boat. If you go back, the Guild Master won't let you off either. Why don't we complete this request together? Then we'll all share the credit!"
It had to be said, Natsu really used his brain this time.
Natsu's words made it hard for Lucy to refuse. After exchanging a glance with Happy, she finally compromised.
Led by the boatman, the group headed straight for the island.
Not long after Natsu and the others left, Ren and Erza jumped down from Zeus, landing directly on the port ground.
Seeing not a soul at the port, Erza frowned and muttered, "Did Natsu already leave?"
Under the perception of Observation Haki, there was no one around.
Ren shook his head. "There's no one else nearby. They probably left."
"What the hell is that guy Gray doing!"
Erza furrowed her brows and shouted loudly.
Then she said to Ren, "We should hurry and leave too. Natsu might already be on the island."
Ren nodded, taking Erza onto Zeus's back and heading straight for Galuna Island.
Zeus was fast, and before long, they saw an island in a place filled with fog.
On this island, darkness shrouded everything, and the gloomy feeling was particularly heavy.
Upon landing, Ren's Observation Haki instantly covered the entire island.
After searching around, Ren frowned and said, "Natsu isn't on the island?"
Hearing Ren's words, Erza's face darkened as she looked at the surging sea in the distance.
"Then let's wait here!"
Who knows how long passed, but suddenly, the silhouette of a boat appeared on the surging sea.
"They're here!"
Ren opened his eyes, fixing his gaze on the rocking boat.
Erza stood up, looking expectantly at the swaying vessel.
"Look, there are two people over there."
On the boat, Lucy and Happy clung tightly to the mast, almost thrown into the sea by the boat's rocking.
Suddenly, Lucy pointed to the island shore in the distance and shouted to Natsu and Gray in the cabin.
Gray was tied up, glaring fiercely at the seasick Natsu.
"You flame-brained idiot, I'm going to beat you up sooner or later!"
Gray, with his limbs bound, shouted loudly at Natsu.
Natsu looked miserable, lying on the deck constantly retching into the sea, ignoring Gray's quarrel.
"Those two people look familiar."
Suddenly, Happy narrowed his eyes, staring at the two people on the shore.
Gray crawled out of the cabin, looking at the two familiar figures on the shore.
Suddenly, Gray's eyes filled with joy, and he laughed loudly. "Ren and Erza! Ren and Erza are here!"
