What is a Keyminea?

Keyminea isn't something new or something made for this book. Keyminea has been a thing since 2023, the year I started development on a game called TwinDoors.

TwinDoors was a turn-based RPG I was trying to make, and for the most part, I was just making the story up on the spot. TwinDoors didn't really have a good story necessarily, but it was a good concept. It was supposed to be a choose-your-adventure game, with the first choice being which door you pick when the game starts.

Okay, so the first door led to a desert, one where, for some reason, the cacti are alive. You are tasked to kill these cacti and figure out how to get back home. The main villain for this door was supposed to be a mafia boss, but I never got that far. The game got canceled before the desert door was finished, sadly.

The second door, aka my favorite one, is the snow door. This snow door took place in a dystopia called the KNK, which stands for the Kingdom of North Keyminea. The KNK was ruled by King Mosstrio Wontire, a dictator who stole the crown by force by killing the King's son. King Mosstrio Wontire is now trying to reunite Keyminea, but not in a very friendly way.

To provide some context, Keyminea had gone through a civil war and eventually split into three kingdoms. East Keyminea, West Keyminea, and South Keyminea. King Mosstrio Wontire had taken over the Northern part of East Keyminea. And because of this, the King of East Keyminea put a curse on him, the snow curse. This curse makes it so any land that the KNK owns will now be put into an everlasting blizzard, and this curse can only be broken if Mossterio Wontire is killed.

The protagonists explore the KNK, witnessing all the horrors caused by the King, and make it their goal to help end the KNK's rule.

The setting of the desert door became what is now known as Azraba. And the snow door has become known as the story of the snow curse.

Unlike the desert door, the snow door was in fact finished, but it is very outdated and has really bad writing. Overall, the quality of the game is not that good.

I may remake this game, but I do have other plans for the story of the snow curse.

After TD got canceled, I decided to make another game, The Great Rock. This game isn't finished, nor is it canceled. As of right now, it's on hiatus.

TGR follows Sandy and takes place in West Keyminea. You may see some things from TGR in this book, as their settings may overlap sometimes. You'll never actually see Sandy in this book, though, as the game takes place many years after the events of this book.

If you're wondering why these games were never finished, the simple answer is that I severely lacked motivation, as no one played my games. And the people who did play it didn't like it. Also, I've found myself having more fun writing stories like this one.

So, now you know the origins of this place, and I hope you enjoy this story!
