Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: The Players' Conspiracy Theories

The group arrived at a room filled with items, all of which were belongings of the deceased.

"If you're curious about the past of these items, I can tell you all about them."

Mavuika said with a smile as she prepared the items needed for the ritual.

Before the ritual was ready, the group had nothing to do, so they curiously examined the surrounding items.

Mualani blinked her eyes, then pointed at a huge belt: "Rios, what is this?"

"I don't know." Rios answered straightforwardly.

"What about this one?" Mualani pointed at a shield again.

"I don't know that either." Rios said.

"How do you not know anything?" Mualani widened her eyes, asking strangely, "Aren't these things all placed here by you?"

[He doesn't know anything, that's something.]

[Why does it suddenly feel like the Pyro Archon isn't very smart?]

[Mualani from the People of the Springs looks a bit silly; the Pyro Archon seems to be from the People of the Springs too—could he be silly as well?]

[Anyone else like me who couldn't help laughing when hearing the Pyro Archon say "I don't know" twice in a row?]

[If other Archons say "I don't know," it feels like they're hiding something, but when the Pyro Archon or the Hydro Archon say "I don't know," it just feels like they really don't know.]

The players watching this scene couldn't hold it together a bit.

For them, the Archons of each nation should be the ones who know the most about things.

But when they saw Rios not knowing anything about three questions, they felt somewhat surprised.

Wait, shouldn't Archons know a lot? How does he not know anything?

Before Rios could respond, Mavuika's laughter rang out, as she smiled and helped Rios out of the awkward spot: "Mualani, you've wronged the Pyro Archon."

"In fact, these items were all placed here by me."

"These items are all Mavuika's?" Mualani slightly widened her eyes.

She had thought they must have been placed by Rios for sure.

"You can think of it as my little hobby."

Mavuika narrowed her eyes and smiled.

In the time that followed, the Traveler and Paimon also grew curious about the origins of the items.

Mavuika prepared the ritual while enthusiastically giving explanations, and along the way, she also talked about "past, present, future" matters.

[No wonder the Pyro Archon doesn't know; it turns out they were placed by the former Pyro Archon.]

[Note: The former Pyro Archon likes collecting others' relics.]

[What does she collect these for?]

[These are all items left behind by famous people of Natlan; could they be called Artifacts?]

[I'm dying; if they're really Artifacts, then I can understand Mavuika.]

[If it were me, I'd collect them too.]

[Some people are still going through the story; others are already living in the Artifact domains.]

[The Obsidian set and the Brave set are really great, especially the Brave set.]

[Though it requires Natlan characters to get the full effect, non-Natlan characters can still get 12% Elemental DMG Bonus, which is pretty nice.]

[That's like one-sixth of a 0% Furina.]

[Don't discuss things unrelated to the plot...]

[Mavuika is the former Pyro Archon, yet she placed things in the Stadium of the Sacred Flame that even the current Pyro Archon doesn't know about; maybe it's hinting that Mavuika secretly did some things right under the Pyro Archon's nose.]

[Conspiracy theories incoming?]

[Mavuika has a heroic and righteous persona; don't really treat her like Danzo.]

[Maybe the Pyro Archon just genuinely doesn't know these things, but as the former Pyro Archon, Mavuika does?]

[Impossible, right? It was said before that the Pyro Archon stores his memories and knowledge into the Sacred Flame; if these things were really useful, Rios would definitely know.]

[But since Rios doesn't know, that means these things aren't anything major.]

[Is there a possibility that Mavuika stored the memories into the Sacred Flame, but the Pyro Archon forgot about these things?]

[No rule says memories in the Sacred Flame can't be forgotten, right?]

[What kind of thought process is that? Can't it just be that Mavuika doesn't want others to know the purpose of these items, so she didn't store them in the Sacred Flame and deliberately kept it from everyone?]

[Your thought process is the weird one! If Mavuika didn't want others to know, why would she let people come ask her about it? Enough with the conspiracy theories!]

[Have you not entered society yet? You believe whatever others say? If Mavuika was as heroic and righteous as you all think, why would she come to the world 500 years later?]

[Wasn't it because she thought the other Pyro Archons wouldn't carry out her plan, so she had to personally come to 500 years later to become the Pyro Archon?]

[And 500 years ago, Natlan was on the verge of being destroyed by the Abyss; the whole country was a mess, and at that time Mavuika didn't manage the nation, saying she was going to the world 500 years later—wasn't that just wanting to dump the mess on others and reap the benefits herself?]

[The facts also prove it: the Pyro Archons in these 500 years were busy reviving Natlan, and once Natlan was restored to a normal country, Mavuika came out to pick the fruits.]

[Now, do you still think Mavuika is heroic and righteous?]

[Kid, you're invincible.]

[First time hoping Genshin has a plot skip function; you've twisted such a good plot and characters into what kind of mess.]

[I beg you to skip the plot; don't interpret the characters and plot with that ridiculous understanding anymore.]

[If you skip the plot, I can say you're a cloud player; but you've watched the plot and still come to this conclusion—I can only say you're a god.]

[Conspiracy theories, get lost!]

After preparations were complete, Mavuika used a special ritual to lock onto Kaiulani's position in the Night Kingdom.

At the same time, Mualani and the others could also see the "image" of Kaiulani.

"Aunt Kaiulani, are you okay?"

Seeing Kaiulani again, Mualani's emotions immediately surged with excitement.

Rios was right; Aunt Kaiulani really had a chance at resurrection.

"Me? I'm doing pretty good."

Hearing Mualani's words, Kaiulani subconsciously replied.

She was really too strong now.

Those mere Beast Realm Hounds were as easy to deal with as stepping on ants.

This feeling was just like playing an invincible version of a 4399 mini-game; just relying on stats alone could crush the monsters, winning no matter how you played, with absolutely no pressure.

To the point that now, Kaiulani was even starting to like staying in the Night Kingdom; she wanted to continue her rampage of invincible slaughter.

But the next moment, she felt a chill run through her body.

She turned her head and noticed that behind Mualani, a crimson-haired youth was staring straight at her.

Although the other said nothing, that serious expression seemed to be reminding Kaiulani not to forget the plan.

"Ah... cough cough!"

Recalling the plan, Kaiulani coughed on the spot.

"Aunt Kaiulani, what's wrong?"

Seeing the person who was just fine suddenly coughing violently, Mualani's mood tensed up immediately.

"Sorry, Mualani." Kaiulani gently tugged at the corners of her mouth, forcing a pained smile on her face. "I lied on purpose so you wouldn't worry."

"My situation right now is very bad; I feel like it won't be long before I'm swallowed by the Abyss monsters."

"You all..." At this point, Kaiulani looked up at Rios.

Rios shook his head slightly.

"You all absolutely must not come save me; it's way too dangerous here."

Kaiulani continued.

"I refuse!"

The emotionally charged Mualani said: "Aunt Kaiulani, we're coming to save you right now; until then, you have to stay alive no matter what."

"Mm..." Kaiulani nodded slowly, not saying any extra words.

In truth, she was living pretty well right now; it was just that she was feeling a bit dead inside.
