Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Xilonen's Natlan Expletives

======

Stadium of the Sacred Flame.

"Sister, where are you going?"

Seeing Chasca about to head toward the interior of the arena, Chuychu chased after her and asked.

"Chuychu?" Chasca turned around, slightly raising her brows. "You still need to handle the medical care for the injured participants of the Pilgrimage of the Returning Flame on the Sacred Night; now isn't the time to talk with me, right?"

"I've already switched shifts with the others. And..." Chuychu looked at Chasca's pale complexion and slightly furrowed her brows. "Sister can count as an injured person too, right?"

In the individual matches of the Pilgrimage of the Returning Flame on the Sacred Night, Chasca had encountered Mavuika in the first round.

Even giving her all, she still couldn't defeat the latter and got injured as a result, causing her performance in the subsequent matches to be poor.

"I told you long ago when you lost the first round to get treatment first." Chuychu looked somewhat helplessly at her stubborn sister. "But you said it was just a minor injury and wouldn't affect you, and as a result, you lost several matches in a row afterward."

"Not only did you fail to achieve victory, but you also worsened your own injuries."

The more Chuychu said, the more temperamental she felt, hands on her hips as she stared straight at her sister.

"These are just minor injuries for me; they'll be fine after some rest." Chasca smiled helplessly; she had a premonition that if she continued, she and Chuychu would definitely start arguing.

Though they had argued during the competition earlier, the frequency of quarrels between the sisters was quite high—they could even argue several times in the same day.

"You promised me before that you'd get treatment right after the competition ended, but instead you ran off here." Chuychu looked over discontentedly, saying somewhat resentfully, "Sister, you wouldn't be hiding on purpose to avoid treatment, right?"

"Chuychu, you've misunderstood me this time." Chasca smiled helplessly and told the truth. "Because Xilonen contacted me earlier, wanting to optimize my gun a bit, that's why I came here."

"Your gun?" Chuychu recalled; her sister had a massive gun that could fly in the air—she had even tried it once, and after firing one shot, nearly got sent flying herself.

If it was that gun, then it indeed needed some optimization.

In the entire Flower-Feather Clan, probably only Chasca could use that gun.

"I'll go with you." Chuychu said.

"You don't need to distrust me this much, right?" Chasca smiled somewhat helplessly.

"Who asked a certain sister to be so fond of pushing herself?" Chuychu crossed her arms, saying with some temper. "If I don't chase after you now, next you'll say this minor injury can heal on its own with some rest, and then claim no treatment is needed."

Seeing her little trick exposed, Chasca said no more and could only say to her equally stubborn-tempered sister, "Then come with me."

Not long after.

The sisters with no blood relation arrived at where Xilonen was.

And in the room where Xilonen was resting, there was actually a red-haired woman inside.

"Mavuika?"

"Mavu—i—ka!!"

The first sentence was said by Chasca, expressing her doubt about Mavuika being here.

The second sentence was said by Xilonen, mainly expressing her anger toward Mavuika.

"You're actually asking me to forge an Ancient Name for an outsider?" Xilonen bared her teeth, like a cat about to hiss.

Hearing her words, Chasca and the others, who had just entered the room, were slightly stunned.

Forge an Ancient Name for an outsider?

But Ancient Names weren't something only Natlan people could possess?

Having just entered the room not long ago, Chasca and the others could already understand why Xilonen was so furious.

Forcibly implanting a heritage belonging to Natlan people onto an outsider—leaving aside whether Natlan people could accept giving an Ancient Name to an outsider, just from the difficulty alone, it was nearly impossible.

The difficulty was no less than...

"It's just this minor thing; no need to throw such a big tantrum, right?" Mavuika curved the corners of her mouth, smiling relaxedly. "I believe for you, this isn't something that can't be done."

"This minor thing?" Xilonen laughed in extreme anger, crossing her arms. "Then why are you standing so far away from me?"

At this moment, the distance between Mavuika and Xilonen was a good several meters—this wasn't the distance one should keep for normal conversation.

Chasca, who often argued with her sister, knew that maintaining such a distance was for easy escape.

If Xilonen continued to rage later, Mavuika could directly turn and run, without even giving the other a chance to chase.

"Xilonen, this isn't just my wild idea." Mavuika said with a smile. "Even Lord Pyro Archon agrees with my thinking."

"You fire..." Xilonen suddenly glanced at the sisters at the door and abruptly swallowed the latter half of her complaint, quickly changing her words. "Forget it; I'm just a workhorse fate—you want me to do something, and I have to do it."

Xilonen had originally wanted to say you bunch of Pyro Archons only know how to exploit employees all day, but considering Chasca and the others were there, it wasn't convenient to reveal that Mavuika was also a Pyro Archon, so she could only switch to a different phrasing.

But this also caused her earlier momentum to deflate just like that, giving people a sense of listlessness.

In contrast, Mavuika on the other side was somewhat smug, with an expression like "you've got no move now, huh."

Xilonen didn't want to continue exchanging words with this former Pyro Archon who was always full of wild ideas, so she turned her head to the people who had just entered the room and said, "Chasca, bring out your flying gun; I'll optimize it here."

"After optimizing it, I still have to busy myself with forging the Ancient Name for the Traveler."

When saying this, Xilonen deliberately glanced at Mavuika.

Mavuika noticed this angry gaze but didn't take it to heart, asking curiously, "Is there something wrong with Chasca's gun?"

"There's no problem." Chasca said. "It's just that Lord Pyro Archon wants to add an auto-attack function to my gun, so he asked me to find Xilonen for modifications."

"Oh?" Mavuika raised her brows and looked toward Xilonen, teasing, "Looks like Lord Pyro Archon is even more full of wild ideas than me—how come I don't see you throwing such a big tantrum at Lord Pyro Archon?"

"Adding an auto-attack function to Chasca's gun isn't difficult; just slightly adjust the defense tower's technology."

"But for an outsider—oh right, the Traveler isn't even from this world; should be considered from another world."

Xilonen said through gritted teeth while modifying Chasca's gun. "Forging an Ancient Name for someone from another world is way harder than for an ordinary person; I can't even find reference materials."

Xilonen's intention was to tell her how difficult it was, but Mavuika's attention was elsewhere.

"You're saying adding an auto-attack function to a weapon is simple?"

"If it's that simple," Mavuika's eyes lit up, "then add an auto-attack system to my Flamestrider too?"

"Mavuika, I ***** you *****!"
