Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Tricky Client Mavuika

#Chuychu's Vision Was Made by the Pyro Archon

#Has the Pyro Archon Gotten on Good Terms with Celestia?

The newly released Genshin video wasn't very long; it told the story of how after receiving the Vision from the Pyro Archon, Chuychu went around various places in Natlan to practice against monsters. It could be said to be a character demonstration video with a bit of plot.

But the few lines of exchange at the beginning of the video did attract the players' attention.

"The Pyro Archon can make Visions, and the people who receive his Visions can also enter the gacha pool."

"Then wouldn't most people in Natlan be Pyro Element?"

The players speculated like this.

In response, Rios stated.

"Wrong."

"Only Chuychu and Kinich can enter the gacha pool."

Rios was riding on a Qucusaurus, heading toward the Children of Echoes tribe.

Some time had passed since he created the Vision, and already more than ten people had obtained Visions because of it.

However, among so many people, to date, only Chuychu had entered the gacha pool.

Rios asked if it was a modeling issue for the others, but the system replied that it wasn't; it was a rule set by the official Genshin team.

Genshin released around 17 new characters per year.

[After the Host and Chuychu enter the gacha pool, the number of characters Genshin releases in a year will increase to 19.]

[It has already reached the limit.]

"Isn't it good to sell more characters and make more money?"

After learning the reason, Rios let out a soft sigh.

After Chuychu entered the gacha pool, the mood values he received had increased by a lot.

Moreover, thanks to what he said in Chuychu's character demonstration video about being able to create Visions, the players' mood values had risen again.

Just as he wanted to strike while the iron was hot and let a few more people enter the gacha pool, he was told that the personnel quota had already been exceeded.

What a pity.

Such a real pity.

While Rios was regretting this, the Qucusaurus he was riding had already arrived at the Children of Echoes tribe.

"Thanks for the hard work."

After thanking it, Rios jumped down from the Qucusaurus' back, landing directly outside Xilonen's workshop.

He had purchased some blueprints for powerful equipment from the system, ones that could just barely be crafted with the skills of Natlan's artisans.

Besides mass-producing Visions, Rios believed that better equipment also needed to be provided to the people of Natlan.

His mood values were limited after all, and the Visions he generated were still too few compared to all of Natlan.

But if he exchanged for equipment blueprints and had Natlan's artisans forge them, then powerful weapons that all Natlan warriors could use could be produced.

Just as Rios was about to enter Xilonen's workplace, he discovered that someone had arrived at the workshop even earlier than him.

"Ma-Vu-I-Ka!"

The mature woman with leopard ears glared at the red-haired woman in front of her with gritted teeth, like a cat that had its fur blown up: "Didn't I just help you adjust the Flamestrider's functions two days ago?"

"Why are you here again?"

Facing the hissing cat in front of her, Mavuika maintained her usual calm expression.

"Xilonen, don't worry." Mavuika curled up the corners of her mouth in reassurance, "I'm not here to discuss the Flamestrider today."

"That's good—"

"What I want to discuss with you is the details regarding the sunglasses."

"Mavuika, you damn!"

Rios stood outside, quietly watching the two women's friendly exchange.

Xilonen was Natlan's best artisan; she could craft weapons, armor, or even ancient names.

And Mavuika was a client with plenty of money and even more demands; not only did she have stringent requirements for the things she commissioned, but she would also make Xilonen add some whimsical functions.

For example, ones that could fly into the sky, burrow into the ground, or drift on water.

If her imagination weren't limited, she might even demand that Xilonen add a super transformation form to the Flamestrider, the kind where pressing a button turns it from a car into a robot.

Rios just quietly watched from the side.

These past few days, he had been constantly busy, with no leisure in his life; occasionally eating some melon was quite nice too.

Just as he was watching the two women argue with great interest, he sensed someone approaching.

Turning his head to look, he found Kachina from the Children of Echoes tribe staring at the scene here with a face full of shock.

"Pyro Archon, you..."

"Shh!"

Rios raised a finger, making a silencing gesture, then continued hugging his arms as he watched the women quarrel inside the workshop.

Kachina was stunned.

"I thought that after becoming the Pyro Archon, Rios had changed completely."

"But isn't this the same as before?"

Kachina had originally come to find Xilonen to repair her Sky-Piercing Drill.

But seeing Xilonen and Mavuika arguing loudly as usual, and Rios eating melon.

She felt it would be better if she didn't get involved in the adults' affairs.

Inside the workshop.

Xilonen and Mavuika were still discussing the forging matters.

"You're saying you want your sunglasses to be able to spew fire?"

Xilonen raised an eyebrow, looking at Mavuika with an incredulous gaze.

"That's right."

"Attacking unexpectedly is also a clever way to secure victory."

"Now the Abyss monsters are getting more and more cunning; they can even transform into the appearance of the people we love to interfere with our performance."

"So I need a tool that can attack without needing to use my hands."

Mavuika said.

"When did the Abyss become this cunning?"

"I haven't even heard about it."

Xilonen asked.

"Just yesterday."

"When Kinich and I were subjugating Abyss monsters, the Abyss monster suddenly transformed into the appearance of my little sister; it really startled me."

"I haven't seen her in a long time."

When Mavuika said this, her expression was even more grave than usual.

Xilonen also sensed the heaviness in the other's emotions and fell silent for a moment.

Abyss monsters transforming into human appearances.

That was probably the plot from Kinich's character story.

After hearing Mavuika's words, Rios recalled the story of how Kinich obtained his Vision.

During Kinich's participation in the Night Warden Wars, he had encountered Abyss monsters that could transform into people.

That squad sent to subjugate the Abyss suffered heavy losses; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was completely wiped out.

Even Kinich himself had actually died to the monster's attack.

If not for awakening his Dendro Vision at the last moment to counter-kill it, most players wouldn't have been able to see this character.

However, this time, the ones leading the subjugation of the Abyss monsters were the former Pyro Archon Mavuika and Kinich, who already possessed a Pyro Vision.

The Abyss monster that had nearly wiped out an entire squad was easily dealt with by the two of them.

However, during that battle, Mavuika had seen the Abyss monster mimicking her sister.

Although from the results, Mavuika still took down the Abyss monster.

But for a person to strike down a monster that looked so much like their own family member, it was still too heavy a burden.

Just as Rios was thinking whether to give Mavuika a couple of days off.

Xilonen took the initiative to speak, breaking the stiff atmosphere.

"Mavuika, the sunglasses spewing fire that you mentioned—I can fulfill that," Xilonen said.

"That's really great." Mavuika curled up the corners of her mouth, "Then... since you've fulfilled one of my requests, could you fulfill one more?"

"?!"

"I think the Flamestrider could also use some more functions added, like being able to transform into a robot like those in Fontaine or something."

"Mavuika, don't push it too far!"

Seeing the two regain their spirits, Rios knew it was time for him to enter, so he spoke up.

"Xilonen, before you help Mavuika add the super transformation form to her Flamestrider,"

"Could you help complete my commission first?"
