Chapter 93 - Chapter 92

The mountain range of the Demon Country bled into the horizon under a bruised, twilight sky. Cold, subterranean winds whipped through the rocky canyon, carrying the scent of pulverized granite, ozone, and sulfur. The earth vibrated with the rhythmic, heavy tread of thousands of stone footfalls, a mechanical, immortal legion marching out from the dark depths of the volcanic shrine.

In the center of this abyssal canyon stood Naruto Uzumaki.

He was no longer holding back. Here, far from the fragile wooden structures of Konoha and away from innocent bystanders, the young Sage could release the full, terrifying spectrum of his power.

His silhouette hummed with an otherworldly glow. Golden chakra radiated from his skin, not as a bulky, volatile cloak, but as a refined, crystalline aura that clung strictly to his body. His eyes were a breathtaking testament to absolute harmony: the horizontal, bar-like pupils of a toad Sage intersected flawlessly with the vertical, crimson slits of the Nine-Tails, forming a precise golden cross against irises of pure, burning amber.

In his right hand, the Nine Cutter—a custom, jet-black katana forged from chakra-conductive steel—slashed through the air with a lethal, high-pitched whistle.

SWOOSH!

A crescent arc of golden wind energy tore through the forward ranks of the stone army. Fifty armored soldiers were bisected instantly, their upper torsos sliding smoothly off their legs before crumbling into fine gray powder. Before the dust could settle, Naruto thrust his left hand forward.

"Miniature Bijuu-Dama!"

A dense, compressed sphere of pitch-black and crimson chakra, no larger than a plum, shot from his palm. It traversed the valley in a fraction of a second, detonating in the center of the legion.

BOOOOOOM!

A blinding, hemispherical dome of black destructive force expanded over two hundred yards. The shockwave shattered the canyon walls, sending heavy boulders raining down as hundreds of stone monoliths were reduced to absolute atomic dust. The sheer kinetic backlash blew Naruto's spiky yellow hair backward, but his feet remained anchored to the bedrock, his golden aura absorbing the force effortlessly.

He was grinning. It was a terrifying, exhilarated expression—the look of a warrior finally permitted to test the boundaries of a godlike baseline.

Yet, beneath the thrill of untethered combat, his sensory network remained razor-sharp. Through the seamless blend of Sage Mode's natural energy perception and Kurama's vast emotional tracking, Naruto maintained a constant, vivid mental map of the surrounding miles. He could feel the distinct, pulsing chakra signatures of Rock Lee, Hinata Hyūga, and Ino Yamanaka deep within the subterranean shrine, guarding Priestess Shion as she approached the main altar.

Suddenly, Naruto's eyes narrowed into sharp, lethal points.

Deep within the temple, Shion's unique, sacred chakra signature didn't just flicker—it vanished entirely, swallowed whole by a massive, foul sea of primordial malice.

Mōryō has absorbed her, Naruto realized instantly, his smile disappearing. It's time to step in.

At that exact microsecond, the atmospheric pressure above the eastern ridge of the canyon shifted dramatically.

ROAR!

A colossal wave of golden sand, rising thirty feet into the sky like a tidal wave, swept over the eastern flank of the stone army. The ocean of compressed earth slammed down with catastrophic weight, grinding thousands of stone soldiers beneath millions of tons of pressure. The sand writhed and churned, forming a impenetrable wall that completely sealed off the eastern path.

Naruto didn't even turn his head. He executed a lightning-fast, vertical-to-horizontal cross-slash with his katana.

"Wind Style: Waving slash!"

A cross-shaped gale of vacuum blades sliced through the vanguard before him, turning another hundred soldiers into a cloud of dust. As the gale cleared, Naruto looked up toward the ridge.

Floating gracefully atop a compact, airborne disc of golden sand was Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage. His pale face was stone-cold, his crimson hair fluttering in the gale, and his gourd resting quietly on his back. Surrounding him on the upper ridge were ranks of elite Sunagakure and Konohagakure reinforcements, their weapons drawn.

"You're a bit late, Gaara," Naruto called out, his voice carrying clearly over the roaring wind.

Gaara's pale green eyes locked onto Naruto, a subtle, almost imperceptible softening appearing at the edges of his steady gaze. "The terrain slowed our advance. However, it appears you have already handled the vast majority of this legion yourself, Naruto."

Gaara raised his right hand, spreading his fingers. Down in the canyon, the massive sea of sand rose once more, forming thousands of crushing fists that began systematically pulverizing the remaining, scattered units of the stone army.

"I am leaving this battlefield to you, Gaara," Naruto declared, sheathing the Nine-Tails Cutter with a sharp click.

"Go," Gaara replied smoothly, his sand lifting him higher into the sky to oversee the total suppression of the valley. "I will clear these remaining constructs and join you inside the shrine in a few moments."

Naruto let out a short, dry chuckle. "Oh, don't bother rushing. I'll have the demon completely dealt with before you even finish sweeping up out here."

Gaara's lips twitched upward into a rare, genuine smirk. "I would take that bet... but a very someone once gave me a piece of advice: Never bet against Uzumaki Naruto."

"Whoever gave you that advice was a genius," Naruto grinned.

Without another word, Naruto raised two fingers to his face.

FLASH!

In a golden streak that defied visual tracking, Naruto vanished via the Flying Raijin, utilizing the formula he had placed on Hinata's shoulder guard inside the shrine.

Inside the deep, volcanic inner sanctum of the mountain temple, the atmosphere was suffocating. The air smelled of burnt sulfur, blood, and corrupting dark chakra. The massive stone ceiling was cracked, dripping boiling liquid from the magma veins above.

BOOM!

Rock Lee was hurled across the cavern floor like a ragdoll. His green jumpsuit was shredded at the shoulders, his skin flushed a deep, burning crimson as the Sixth Gate of View surged violently throughout his nervous system. He slammed heavily into the stone wall, coughing up a spatter of crimson as his green chakra aura flickered dangerously.

Beside him, Ino lay against a pile of rubble, clutching her ribs with a pained gasp—one of her ribs was fractured from a glancing blow. Hinata stood defensively in front of them, her Byakugan pulsing furiously around her pale eyes, though her left shoulder hung at an awkward, painful angle.

Standing over them, hovering above a pool of dark, boiling sludge, was Mōryō.

The ancient entity had fully integrated with the body of his dark follower, Yomi. He had transformed into a gargantuan, terrifying nightmare—a grotesque hydra of dark, liquid tentacles and nine towering dragon heads, their eyes glowing with unholy purple light. Embedded deep within the central chest cavity of the beast, barely visible behind translucent layers of dark energy, was the unconscious form of Priestess Shion.

"Pathetic worms!" Mōryō's voice boomed simultaneously from all nine heads, rattling the teeth in Lee's skull. "The priestess's sacred bloodline is mine! Once I digest her power, this entire continent will bow before my Thousand-Year Kingdom!"

Mōryō raised a massive, spiked appendage of dark energy, aiming to drive it straight through Lee's chest to finish the Taijutsu master.

Lee grit his teeth, trying to force his trembling legs to move—

CLANG!

A blinding flash of golden light illuminated the cavern.

Naruto materialized out of thin air directly in front of Lee. The Nine-Tails Cutter was unsheathed, held horizontally in a flawless, single-handed parry block. The tip of Mōryō's gargantuan dark claw struck the jet-black blade and froze dead in its tracks, unable to push the young Sage back even a millimeter.

Naruto casually flexed his wrist, channeling a sharp burst of Sage-infused wind chakra through the steel.

EXPLOSION!

The kinetic feedback shattered Mōryō's claw, blasting the colossal dragon head backward with a deafening roar of frustration.

Naruto didn't even turn around as he reached back, placing a warm, golden-clad hand on Lee's shoulder. "Take a breather, Lee. You did an incredible job holding the line. Leave everything to me now."

Lee let out a heavy exhalation, his crimson Sixth Gate aura powering down into a quiet nod. "Understood... Naruto-kun."

Mōryō's remaining eight dragon heads thritted violently, their crimson eyes glaring down at the blond newcomer with dark fury. "Ah... Uzumaki Naruto. The parasite who slaughtered my followers."

Naruto stood tall, holding his katana casually at his side as he looked up at the colossal nightmare with complete, unbothered indifference.

"Oh, come off it, Mōryō," Naruto scoffed, his voice echoing cleanly through the cavern. "Don't act all sympathetic about those dark cultists. You and I both know you didn't give a damn about them. The only thing an ancient parasite like you cares about is yourself."

Mōryō let out a sickening, booming laugh that caused the boiling sludge beneath him to bubble violently. "Ha! So you figured it out, did you?! Why should a god care for ants?! They had the ultimate honor of sacrificing their fragile lives to serve my resurrection!"

"Yeah, well, their service ends today," Naruto replied flatly. He pointed his katana directly at the central chest cavity where Shion was trapped. "I'm going to say this exactly once: be a good little demon, release Shion right now, and I won't mangle you too badly."

Mōryō blinked his primary dragon eyes in genuine, stunned disbelief. In his thousands of years of existence, no mortal had ever addressed him with such utter, dismissive casualness.

"What did you just say to me, brat?!" Mōryō roared, slamming three of his massive dragon heads into the cavern floor, generating a localized earthquake.

"I said: release the priestess," Naruto repeated, his voice dropping into a low, terrifying register. "And I might consider holding back a fraction of my strength."

"Arrogant insect!" Mōryō spat, his nine heads rearing back as dark purple energy gathered between his jaws. "You possess extraordinary power for a human—I will offer you one final mercy! Bow your head, kneel before me as my primary vessel, and I might grant you the privilege of ruling at my right hand!"

Naruto's lips curled into a cold, lethal smirk.

"I think you fundamentally misunderstand the situation here, ghost," Naruto whispered.

VWOMP!

The atmospheric pressure inside the cavern detonated. Jagged arcs of blue lightning and howling green wind chakra ignited around the blade of the Nine-Tails Cutter, saturated to the brim with raw Natural Energy.

"I said... release her!"

Naruto blurred into motion.

SLASH!

He executed a blinding, upward diagonal slash that severed three of Mōryō's dragon heads in a single frame. The raw pressurized wind behind the strike slammed into Mōryō's central torso, hurling the gargantuan titan backward into the volcanic wall with a deafening crash.

As Mōryō shrieked in agony, his dark tissue regenerating rapidly, Naruto leaped onto a falling stone pillar, looking down at the beast with sharp, analytical amber eyes.

"I figured out your little trick on the way here, Mōryō," Naruto stated calmly, his voice piercing through the demon's roars. "That foul, rancid chakra of yours... it tried to breach my subconscious back in Konoha when your seal first fractured. You weren't targeting me out of revenge—you were hunting for the strongest physical host on the continent. Yomi was just your pathetic backup plan because you couldn't bypass my mindscape defenses!"

Naruto thrust his right hand forward, his golden chakra reaching out like a lance. "You tried to invade my consciousness by blending your malice with the ambient natural energy. But I am a master of Senjutsu. You can't corrupt a mind that commands the nature around it!"

Naruto dropped from the pillar, plunging his katana directly into the central brow of Mōryō's primary head. He instantly flooded the demon's core with pure, unrefined Natural Energy, attempting to disrupt the foul chakra matrix keeping Mōryō anchored to Yomi's physical form.

"GAAAAAH!" Mōryō screamed, his massive body convulsing violently. In a desperate bid to survive, Mōryō opened his central jaw and unleashed a point-blank blast of hyper-compressed dark energy straight at Naruto's chest.

BOOM!

Naruto crossed his arms, absorbing the blast with his golden aura, but the force pushed him back fifty yards across the boiling sludge.

Deep within the dark, suffocating abyss of Mōryō's core, Priestess Shion felt as though she were drowning in frozen ice.

She was floating in a realm of pale, ethereal light, resting her head gently on the lap of a woman wearing traditional priestess robes—her late mother, Miroku.

"Mother..." Shion wept softly, clutching Miroku's silk sleeves. "I'm so weak... I couldn't seal him... My sacred power was sealed inside the silver bell, and I gave it away..."

Miroku smiled down at her daughter with profound, maternal warmth, resting a gentle hand on Shion's cheek. "Your power was never inside a bell, my sweet Shion. The bell was merely a protective charm I gave you to suppress your destructive aura until your body matured. The power to protect this world has always lived inside your own heart."

"But I don't want to leave you!" Shion sobbed, burying her face into her mother's lap. "I want to stay here with you!"

Suddenly, a clear, powerful voice echoed through the dark void of the mindscape, cutting through the illusion like a golden sunbeam.

"Wake up, Shion! We need you out here in the real world!"

Shion gasped, her pale purple eyes widening as Naruto's voice vibrated through her soul.

Miroku chuckled softly, leaning down to press her forehead against Shion's. "It seems your knight in shining armor is calling for you, my daughter. You are still needed in the living world."

"Mother..."

"I am not leaving you, Shion," Miroku whispered, her form beginning to dissolve into radiant particles of white light. "I will always live within your heart. Now go out there... and show that demon why he should never mess with our bloodline!"

Miroku took Shion's small hands, clapping them together in a sacred ritual seal.

In the real world, Mōryō's gargantuan body was expanding rapidly, his dark mass swelling to fill the entire subterranean cavern as he prepared to crush Naruto beneath a mountain of liquid sludge.

"Die, Uzumaki Naruto!" Mōryō roared.

Naruto landed lightly on the stone shore, his eyes tracking the monster calmly. "Well... I was saving this particular bloodline technique for something else, but you're special, Mōryō. Enjoy the legacy of the Uzumaki clan!"

CLACK!

Naruto brought his palms together in a heavy, thunderous seal.

"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

SHING!

SHING!

SHING!

SHING!

Eight colossal, brilliant golden chains forged from pure, high-density physical chakra erupted from Naruto's back. The chains shot forward with supersonic speed, tearing through Mōryō's dark body, wrapping tightly around his nine necks, his limbs, and his core like unyielding steel cables.

Mōryō's massive expansion froze instantly. The golden chains tightened, lifting the gargantuan demon completely out of the boiling pool and suspending his massive, multi-headed body mid-air.

"WHAT IS THIS?!" Mōryō shrieked, thrashing desperately as the divine Uzumaki chakra seared his dark form like red-hot iron. "WHY I CANNOT BREAK THEM!"

"You're not supposed to," Naruto said coldly.

FLASH!

Suddenly, a blinding pillar of brilliant emerald-white light erupted directly from Mōryō's central chest. The demon vomited a fountain of dark, corrosive blood as his core cracked open.

Priestess Shion, her pale purple eyes glowing with radiant, divine authority, floated out from Mōryō's chest, levitating gracefully into the air beside Naruto. Her long blonde hair fluttered in the holy light, her face completely devoid of her previous fear.

Naruto looked up at her, a broad, triumphant grin breaking across his face. "Told you I wouldn't die, Princess."

Shion looked down at him, her lips curving into a bright, confident smile. "I know how to obliterate his soul permanently now, Naruto!"

"Well, what are you waiting for?!" Naruto shouted, his golden chains holding Mōryō completely helpless in the air. "Spill the plan!"

Behind Naruto, Lee, Hinata, and Ino limped forward, staring up in absolute awe at the suspended demon and the radiant priestess.

"My sacred chakra can disintegrate his core," Shion explained, landing lightly beside Naruto. "But I need a medium to project it at maximum output!"

"Say no more!"

Naruto held out his right hand, palm upward. Shion immediately stepped in close, placing her small hands directly beneath his. She flooded her radiant, emerald priestess chakra straight into Naruto's palm.

Naruto focused his mind, blending her sacred energy with his own perfected Sage Mode and Kurama's golden chakra.

WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

In the palm of Naruto's hand, a colossal, glowing sphere of pure, multi-colored light ignited—a Sacred Sage Rasenshuriken, spinning with such terrifying kinetic velocity that the entire subterranean cavern began to structural collapse around them.

"Everyone! Fall back!" Naruto yelled over the screaming wind.

Lee, Ino, and Hinata instantly leaped back toward the exit tunnel.

Naruto pulled his Adamantine Chains backward, yanking Mōryō's suspended, shrieking form directly into the trajectory of his strike. He thrust the colossal, screaming vortex straight into Mōryō's central core.

"Stay down, demon," Naruto declared, his voice ringing with absolute, divine authority. "And sleep in the darkness forever!"

BOOOOOM!

The Sacred Rasenshuriken detonated.

A blinding sun of holy, white-golden energy consumed Mōryō's entire physical vessel and spiritual form. The demon's shrieks of agony were swallowed completely as every single atom of his dark existence was utterly vaporized from reality, leaving not a single particle of malice behind.

CRACK!

With Mōryō's core destroyed, the volcanic pressure beneath the shrine erupted. The cavern walls began caving in, massive boulders raining down into the boiling sludge.

"Hold on!" Naruto shouted.

In a fraction of a millisecond, Naruto reached out, his golden chakra arms extending to pull Shion, Lee, Hinata, Ino, and Taruho tightly against his sides.

He threw a single Flying Raijin kunai high into the sky through a crack in the collapsing ceiling.

FLASH!

In a streak of golden light, the entire party vanished from the crumbling inner sanctum.

They materialized atop a high, pristine snowy peak miles away from the mountain pass.

Below them, the subterranean temple collapsed in on itself, giving way to a localized volcanic eruption that buried the ancient ruins beneath miles of fresh, smoking lava.

The morning sun finally crested the horizon, casting a brilliant, warm amber light across the snowy peaks. The crisp, clean mountain air filled their lungs, devoid of any lingering malice.

Naruto stood at the cliff edge, his Sage Mode powering down as he looked out at the sunrise. "The end of the darkest night," Naruto said softly, a gentle smile on his face. "The demon of the night is dead. The sun is here to chase away every shadow."

The group let out a collective, exhausted breath of relief, collapsing onto the snow.

"Man..." Lee groaned, wincing as he rubbed his shoulder. "That Sixth Gate backlash is no joke..."

Ino sat down with a sigh, gently pressing her hand against her side. "Yeah, and I'm pretty sure one of my ribs is cracked from that brute's dark tendril."

Hinata rubbed her left shoulder with a soft smile. "My shoulder joint is sore... but we made it."

Without a word, Naruto walked over, kneeling beside them. Golden, warm chakra gently emitted from his palms as he applied Kurama's high-tier regenerative energy to their injuries, instantly knitting Ino's rib, resetting Hinata's shoulder, and soothing Lee's torn muscle fibers.

"Here you go, priestess," Naruto said, pulling the silver bell from his pocket and handing it back to Shion.

Shion took the bell, looking down at it, and then turned her pale purple eyes up to face Naruto. The cold, distant priestess was completely gone, replaced by a young woman whose heart was light and free.

"So, Shion," Ino asked, leaning her hands back on the snow, "what's your plan now that Mōryō is officially dead for good?"

Shion looked toward the rising sun, her cheeks flushing with a soft, radiant pink. "Mōryō was born from the collective hatred of humanity. Even if he is gone, human malice will always exist. To ensure the world is always protected... I must continue my sacred bloodline."

She turned, taking a bold step toward Naruto, looking up into his ocean-blue eyes.

"Would you... help me with that, Naruto?"

DEAD SILENCE.

Taruho, who was standing nearby, instantly clutching his chest as if his heart had physically shattered, his face going pale.

Ino and Hinata froze mid-breath. Ino's jaw dropped, her face rapidly turning bright red, while Hinata's eyes widened in sheer shock, her hands twitching as a quiet, dangerous aura began to emanate from both Konoha kunoichi. Even Lee tilted his head in complete, clueless confusion.

Naruto, however, merely blinked, scratching the back of his neck with a deadpan expression.

"Well... you're gonna have to take that marriage proposal up with my aunt, Shion," Naruto replied casually. "If I say yes to anything like that right now without her approval, She will literally tear my head off."

Shion pouted, crossing her arms defensively. "And who exactly is this aunt of yours?!"

"Tsunade Senju," Naruto grinned. "The Fifth Hokage."

Shion clapped her hands together with absolute determination, a triumphant spark in her eyes. "Fine! The moment we arrive in Konohagakure, I will apply directly to Lady Tsunade for our official marriage engagement!"

Ino and Hinata both snapped their heads toward Naruto, their eyes narrowing into deadly, silent glares, while Naruto simply threw his head back and laughed, his cheerful voice echoing across the sunny mountain peaks.
