Baryon was cursing himself in his mind right now, because he had just stuttered because of a question, but Lucifer paid it no mind and continued, "I see that you are the same age with my son so why don't you two talk while I handle some impossible things," Baryon nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, after Lucifer left an awkward silence fell between the two boys, Baryon thought that tension was getting too high so he decided to say something first.
"hi my name is Baryon," he said and he watched as the other boy introduced himself, "Lucien," he's quite curt isn't he Baryon thought, " are you a god or demi-god," Lucien asked, Baryon thought for a bit before mentally asking AR wether he's a god or not.
[ your case is a bit different sire, you are as strong as a GODKING in aspects except for skills and you don't have any divinity to speak of so....you should classify yourself as a demi-god until you get your divinity.]
Baryon mulled over the information for a few seconds before replying, "I'm a demi-god," Lucien's brows arched a bit in surprise before he quickly regained his composure and said, " well I'm demi-god as well, I didn't expect to see someone my age at the same rank as me, what are your affinities, mine are explosion and light," Baryon nodded his head and kept a calm font while pretending to think about it, but inside he was panicked and confused because after he was born he didn't notice any ability that manifested then, but before he could ask AR what his affinities were, a voice as smooth as silk and had an enchanting allure in it sounded throughout the entire hall of the temple, when he looked towards where the voice was coming from, he was stunned silly seeing the owner of the voice.
The person had face shaped like a heart, with sharp eyebrows that accentuated the other features of her face, she had azure eyes that looked as deep as the ocean and held endless treasures for those who looked too long, she had wavy black hair that looked beautiful and lush, she had delicate snow white skin and a toned physique and voluptuous assets that were further accentuated by the green evening gown she wore and she stood at an astonishing 6'5, despite the male gods being in public they couldn't help but ogle at her like a predator eyeing prey, but a few people knew who the prey truly were, she then parted her voluptuous lips that were a bright red color, "good evening everyone, and welcome to those new faces I see amongst the crowd, welcome to Summit of the Gods," she then smiled, her smile seemed to have captured everyone's attention and she continued, "my name is Freya, goddess of harvest and fertility, and I will be your host this fine evening, and although the sponsors are busy at the moment, I assure you that you will meet them before the end of the party, so enjoy yourselves and mingle with others, so enjoy the evening."
Baryon was still enamored by her voice long after she had stepped of the stage, but before he could continue to spiral down his thoughts, he was interrupted by the snickering voice of Lucien, "don't bother looking at her, she's a what humans call an ice beauty, she doesn't look at men, although I suspect she swings the other way," Baryon stopped any thought of the woman and said,"in response to your earlier question, I don't know my affinities yet," Lucien looked at him like he just saw an extremely rare animal, "what do you mean you don't know your affinities, were you born yesterday or something," Baryon broke into a cold sweat when he heard Lucien.
"you know what, we're going to check your affinity now, though we need to be back here before the big bosses come out," both Baryon and Lucien started moving against the crowd to who were still flocking in, just as the entrance was in sight they heard a voice that sent chills up their spines, "where are you both going now?"
Topmost floor of the temple
Inside a room decorated with plush carpets and expensive furniture, there was a round table in the middle of the room and around it were twelve chairs with each of them occupied, despite everyone's smiling face, they all knew it was just font and that deep inside they were all scheming against each other.
Just then a booming voice echoed throughout the entire room, "let the god summit commence."
Everyone's attention immediately turned toward the owner of the voice with respect on their faces, "we have a few agendas on the board today, first of all we should address the fact that most of the people here like fighting against each other for seemingly no reason at all," everyone in the room immediately turned to four people in the room, among the four were people who Baryon would definitely recognize if he were here, first was Lucifer who sat with a nonchalant air around him and and a smile that irritated them to no end, in response to what was just said he shrugged and said,"it's not my fault for the skirmishes with the elves, they just can't seem to swallow their fragile ego and stop this entire thing," the goddess of the elves ,Tatiana kept a stoic look but couldn't hide the twitching of her eyes, then she replied in a cold tone,"I don't know what you mean dear 'husband'," she made sure to mention the last part to get a rise out Lucifer, but he didn't even flinch at being called husband sarcastically and he even smiled as if hearing the joke of a lifetime,"you know what I mean Tatiana,these skirmishes are just a pathetic reason to make me furious,' Lucifer then continued in an even colder tone than the elf,"I don't mind you attacking me or my properties, you can burn them for all I care, but you will never take my son after what you did," Tatiana was about to retort with a bit of fury in her tone when an extremely terrible pressure bore down on them.
"You seem to want to settle your problem here, does my presence mean that little to you two," Lucifer seemed to be able to resist the pressure but Tatiana couldn't and was already hyperventilating, Before a calmer voice filled with endless wisdom voiced out, "calm down Zeus before you kill them."
