Chapter 18: The New Generation
Time: 5 Days Later (Outside).
Space Time: 15 Days Passed.
Location: Inside the Farming Space.
Luo Feng stood in the center of the field, holding the expensive seeds he had bought from Fatty Wang.
"Grade 1 Seeds," Luo Feng muttered, feeling the faint pulse of energy from the packet. "In the outside world, these take six months to grow. Here... maybe twenty days."
He walked to the Red Clay Area.
While the Blast Chilies occupied the center, he dug a row of deep holes along the fiery perimeter. He planted the Crimson Fire Grape seeds there. These grapes needed heat to produce the "Flame Spirit Wine"—a beverage potent enough to help a Layer 4-6 cultivator breakthrough.
Next, he went to the rich Black Spirit Soil. He planted the Iron-Skin Yams.
"Grow," Luo Feng commanded, pouring Sun & Moon Water over them.
Hiss.
Unlike the explosive growth of the rice, these high-grade plants grew slowly. Small, dark red vines curled out of the red clay, and thick green shoots emerged from the black soil.
"Good," Luo Feng wiped his hands. "When the grapes ripen, I can brew Mid-Grade Wine. I won't have to sell it; I'll drink it to push for Layer 5."
Suddenly, a panicked shout came from the wooden pen near the spring.
"Husband! Come quick! It's happening!"
The Birth.
Luo Feng rushed over to the animal pen.
The White-Jade Cloud Goat was lying on a bed of soft dry grass. She was breathing heavily, her stomach swollen like a giant balloon.
But she looked different.
Her white fur was no longer just soft; it shimmered with a faint, protective light. Her horns, which used to be pearlescent, now had faint runic markings spiraling up the tips.

"She evolved," Luo Feng realized, kneeling beside her. "The Star Grass and the high-density Qi forced her body to shed its mortal limits. She is now a true Demon Beast."
"She's in pain," Luo Xia said, her hands glowing with gentle green Wood Qi, rubbing the goat's belly to soothe her. "The babies are strong. They are fighting to come out."
"Push, girl," Luo Feng whispered, placing his hand on her flank and feeding her a stream of pure Qi.
"BAAA!"
Milky let out a loud, resonant bleat that shook the wooden fence. A burst of white light erupted from her body.
Plop.
The first kid slid out, covered in birth fluids.
Five minutes later, the second one followed.
Luo Xia quickly cleaned them with warm water and towels.
"Two boys," Luo Xia announced, her face beaming with sweat and joy.
The Spirit Twins.
Luo Feng looked at the newborns. They weren't wobbling like normal goats.
Within minutes of being born, they were trying to stand. Their legs were thick and sturdy. Their fur was pure silver-white.
But the most shocking thing was their heads.
Even as newborns, they already had tiny, hard nubs where horns would grow. The nubs glowed with a soft metallic light.
"Incredible," Luo Feng reached out and touched the nub of the older one. It felt hard as stone. "Usually, Cloud Goats don't grow horns for six months. These two... they are born as Natural Spirit Beasts."
Because the mother evolved during the pregnancy, and because she ate high-grade food, the babies had absorbed massive energy in the womb.
"They don't need herbs to awaken," Luo Feng analyzed. "As adults, they will automatically reach Rank 1. Maybe even Rank 2."
"Chee!"
Little Gold flew down from the roof. He landed on the fence, staring at the two new additions.
He hopped down. He looked at the babies.
One of the babies, the younger one, fearlessly walked up to the giant Fire Crow and sniffed his tail feathers.
Little Gold froze. Then, he gently preened the baby's head with his beak.
"Caw." (Acceptable minions.)
Luo Feng laughed. "Looks like the King has accepted his subjects."
The Naming.
Luo Xia sat back, exhausted but happy. Milky, the mother, was already licking her kids, her energy recovering rapidly thanks to her Demon Beast constitution.
"We never named the mother," Luo Feng realized, scratching the mother goat behind the ears. "We just called her 'Goat'."
He looked at her white, creamy fur and the rich milk she produced.
"Milky," Luo Feng decided. "Simple. Easy."
Milky bleated happily, accepting the name.
"And the boys?" Luo Xia asked, pointing to the twins.
Luo Feng looked at them. They looked identical, but one had a slightly silvery tint, and the other was pure white like snow.
"The older one is Silver," Luo Feng pointed.
"The younger one is Snow."
"Milky, Silver, and Snow," Luo Xia smiled. "And Little Gold."
Luo Feng stood up, looking at his growing family.
Little Gold: The Air Force / Bomber.
Milky: The Healer / Buffer (Milk).
Silver & Snow: Future Tank / Mounts?
"Listen well," Luo Feng told the newborn goats. "Eat the grass. Drink the water. Grow strong."
He looked at their sturdy backs.
"Because one day, I might need you to carry supplies... or ram a hole through a bandit's chest."
The farm was peaceful now, filled with the sounds of new life. But Luo Feng knew that outside the safety of the Space, the world was waiting.
"Rest up," Luo Feng told Luo Xia. "The grapes are planted. The livestock is growing. Next... I need to visit the Battle Hall."
