Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Ymir’s Titan

"Yago, fall back and support Eren." Levi stared hard at Kenny, but the words were directed at Yago.

Yago knew how skilled Kenny was, and Kenny's lightning-fast reaction just now had shocked him, so he hesitated a little.

"Captain, can you handle it alone?"

"Carry out the order!"

Yago said, "Captain, be careful."

He turned and activated his Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, preparing to leave.

Kenny raised his gun and shouted, "Hey, hey, hey, you brats, don't treat me like I'm air!"

With that, he aimed at Yago and was about to fire.

Levi forcefully flung out the blade in his left hand—the one that had been chipped by a bullet. The blade spun as it hurtled toward Kenny.

Though Kenny's expression didn't change, he was still slightly startled by how fast Levi reacted. All one could say was that Ackermans were humanoid monsters.

To deal with the spinning blade, Kenny had no choice but to raise the gun that had been aimed at Yago. Bang! With a gunshot, the blade was precisely shot down.

But at this moment, Levi had already drawn a new blade and charged at Kenny, and Yago seized the opportunity to swiftly disengage from the battlefield.

...

"All personnel, pay attention! These enemies are the Central Military Police. Their weapons are firearms. Don't confront them head-on—disrupt them as much as possible. Most important of all, take Eren and the others back!"

Following Annie's signal, Petra and Jurgen led the new recruits and caught up with the Central Military Police in time.

With Levi absent, the more combat-experienced Jurgen took over the battlefield and issued orders to the new recruits.

But situations always change suddenly. Before Jurgen could finish speaking, a figure had already charged headlong toward the wagon carrying Eren.

"Mikasa Ackerman! Have you lost your mind? Don't be reckless!" Jurgen roared.

Mikasa's action also threw the new recruits into chaos. Armin and Jean, worried about Mikasa's safety, immediately chased after her, and Sasha and Connie followed along in a daze.

Whether Mikasa had lost her mind or not was unclear, but Jurgen felt like he was about to lose his. With no other choice, he could only rush over with Petra and Kira.

Bang bang bang! The gunfire rang endlessly in their ears, but Mikasa seemed deaf to it, overwhelming fury surging up in her heart.

Why? Why? Why did these people always try to take Eren away from her side? Mikasa's pupils were so filled with rage that red bloodshot veins appeared.

A Central Military Police officer had just fired a shot when, in the blink of an eye, the enraged Mikasa closed in on him.

"What?!" By the time the Central Military Police officer realized Mikasa was upon him in terror, a sharp blade had already cut down through his chest.

Unlike the scalding blood of Titans, human blood smelled far more rank.

This splash of blood seemed to drive Mikasa even crazier. The grappling hooks of her Vertical Maneuvering Equipment fired and retracted again and again.

Mikasa herself was like a terrifying yet elegant blood elf, bringing fear and death to her enemies.

In the blink of an eye, three Central Military Police officers had met grisly deaths at her hands.

Jean kicked one Central Military Police officer out of the air. The officer, having lost his balance, crashed to the ground, his neck visibly twisted—it was clear he was dead.

Jean's breathing was somewhat ragged. He could kill ten Titans without batting an eye, but truly turning his blade on humans was still psychologically hard for him to accept.

Unlike the others, the quick-witted Armin had long since set his sights on the wagon binding Eren and the others.

"Connie, Sasha, cover me!" After confirming the street ahead, Armin shouted to Connie and Sasha beside him.

"No problem!"

The top ten of each Training Corps class were all exceptional, and the 104th class was especially so. This was also why the Central Military Police were extremely shocked—the combat power of the Survey Corps was beyond their expectations.

Already, five Central Military Police officers had died at the hands of these Survey Corps soldiers who still looked so young.

You had to know that the Military Police were already formidable, since their recruits were the best of the best, taking only the top ten of each class. The selection for the Central Military Police was even harsher—out of a hundred Military Police, only a few candidates could be chosen.

"Mikasa! Watch out!" Just before Armin moved, he noticed that a Central Military Police officer had already circled around behind Mikasa.

But Mikasa, who had sunk into madness, seemed completely unaware.

Bang! The Military Police officer behind Mikasa fired, but his expression twisted in agony, because a blade had already pierced through his chest. Wracked by pain, his hand trembled.

The bullet skimmed past Mikasa's hair, but she still didn't notice anything. Annie cleanly pulled the blade out of the officer's chest and glanced at Mikasa.

But Annie, who usually spoke little, said nothing this time either, silently continuing her pursuit.

With Mikasa out of danger, Armin finally let out a breath he'd been holding.

On a simple wagon, Eren, Historia, and Ymir all had needles stuck into their necks, and the three of them were unconscious.

A Central Military Police officer drove the wagon desperately toward the city gate.

Whoosh! A feathered arrow shot straight toward the officer's neck.

The Central Military Police officer's face changed instantly. He clutched his neck with both hands as blood seeped between his fingers. After swaying a few times, he toppled off the wagon.

Jean and Armin, who had already reached the street entrance ahead of time, immediately rushed onto the wagon at top speed.

"Armin! Hurry—I—I can't control the wagon!" Jean was a little nervous. He could ride a horse, but driving a wagon was something he'd never really done.

Armin said, "Got it!"

He pulled out a small knife and was about to cut Eren and the others free.

Bang! Bang! Bullets whizzed past Armin, blasting splinters of wood from the wagon.

The blond Traute suddenly rushed out and kicked Jean away. Luckily, there was a fruit stand nearby, and the stunned vendor watched as Jean smashed a pile of watermelons to pieces.

With a gun pointed at him, Armin's body stiffened. However, Traute had already fired two shots, and there were no bullets left in the chamber.

When Armin came to his senses, he only heard a voice by his ear say,

"Such an indecisive little guy," and then he was kicked off the wagon.

Fortunately, Connie behind him caught Armin in time.

A Central Military Police officer followed Traute and took control of the wagon.

Traute took the opportunity to swap out new barrels on both guns.

"You—don't even think about taking Historia from my hands!" Traute snapped as she turned her head back.

Ymir had woken up at some point, glaring fiercely at her. Though her hands were bound, she didn't know where she had gotten a small knife.

"Not good!" As the deputy captain of the Central Military Police special operations unit, Traute's reaction speed and physical skill were outstanding.

After all, aside from her own excellent abilities, she had also undergone the brutal training of Kenny the Ripper. Traute's strength was truly terrifying.

Without the slightest hesitation, the instant Ymir plunged the dagger into her own thigh, Traute threw Ymir off the wagon.

Ymir rolled along the ground like a rag doll, yet yellow arcs of electricity flickered over her body.

Boom! The arcs transformed into intense yellow lightning. Flesh, blood, and bone were born from within the lightning—sharp teeth, keen claws—and a five-meter-tall Titan burst out from the lightning, roaring.
