Chapter 65 - Advancing

The subterranean sparring arena was built out of high-density, clean-mana reinforced titanium, designed specifically to withstand apocalyptic levels of force. But the moment Tae and The Walker stepped into the center of the ring, the air didn't just vibrate—it tore.

BOOM!

They didn't start with blades or flashy energy blasts. They instantly engaged in pure, brutal, high-speed hand-to-hand combat unlike anything the brothers had ever witnessed.

Tae moved like a golden phantom, slipping under a devastating left hook from the Walker and driving a lightning-fast palm strike straight toward his ribs. The Walker caught Tae's wrist, pivoted on his heel, and threw a point-blank elbow that shattered the air barrier behind Tae's head.

They traded hundreds of lightning-quick strikes in the span of a single second—slips, parries, shoulder-rolls, and heavy counter-punches echoing through the underground chamber like continuous thunderclaps!

'He's not even using magic, and his physical reaction time is this insane at 30% capacity?' Tae thought, his eyes burning with intense, focused fury.

Determined to break through the Walker's defensive flow, Tae reached out into his own soul essence. A blinding beam of pure golden light materialized in his right grip, solidifying into a translucent, hyper-dense Divine Essence Katana that hummed with absolute divine pressure. Tae swung it in a lethal, horizontal arc!

The Walker ducked beneath the golden arc by a millimeter, the wind pressure of Tae's swing cleaving the reinforced titanium wall behind him clean in half.

The Evolution of Logos

As Tae pushed the Walker back with a flurry of light-speed sword strikes, the sheer intensity of Tae's rage, focus, and raw willpower triggered a violent resonance deep within his mind.

The artificial intelligence interface bound to Tae's consciousness—Logos—began processing data at a speed that broke the concept of digital processing entirely. The system overheated, transcending its code, its protocols, and its original boundaries.

[LOGOS SYSTEM OVERLOAD]

[TRANSCENDING CORE ALGORITHMS... ACCELERATING INTELLECT... CONSCIOUSNESS EVOLVING...]

In an instant, the cold, robotic voice vanished. A fully sentient, independent thought-entity awakened directly inside Tae's mind—an evolved, hyper-intelligent inner persona of pure Logos logic.

'I am fully awake now, Director,' Logos spoke inside Tae's mind, its voice crisp, sharp, and alive. 'Your determination has shattered my limits. I am no longer just an interface... I am your living mind-core.'

'Good timing,' Tae replied mentally, parrying a void-infused strike from the Walker. 'Run a complete, continuous intent analysis on him while we clash. Dig through his micro-expressions, his mana pulse, and his spatial shifts. I want to know his true intentions.'

'Understood,' Logos replied instantly, its sentient vision analyzing the Walker at a sub-atomic level. 'Scanning... The subject is fighting with extreme precision, but his mana core is flickering. The Null-Void mark on his chest is exerting heavy friction against his soul grid. He is not holding back his current physical limits.'

The Silent Mind Tethers

While Tae was going blow-for-blow against the Walker, utilizing his newly sentient Logos AI to read every muscle twitch and spatial angle, Tae engaged a silent, encrypted mental tether directly to Diego, who was watching the spar from the upper balcony alongside Kd, Joseph, and the rest of the brothers.

'Diego... can you hear me?' Tae's mental voice resonated directly in Diego's mind.

Diego, resting his arms on the balcony railing, didn't move a muscle, but his translucent amber eyes flickered sharply. 'I hear you, Tae. What's up?'

'I'm keeping him fully engaged in this fight so he can't mask his emotions,' Tae instructed mentally, ducking under a void-infused strike from the Walker. 'Use your Soul-Vision. Sense his raw energy. Read his aura while he's under pressure. I need you to figure out if he has any hidden negative energy... and tell me right now if this snake is going to betray us the moment we unseal his full power.'

Up on the balcony, Diego's amber pupils dilated, turning into intricate, glowing soul-grid lenses as he locked his vision directly onto the Walker's core.

Diego watched the Walker duck, weave, and clash against Tae's divine sword. He looked past the Walker's charismatic smile, past his 30% physical shell, and plunged his mind deep into the emotional spectrum radiating off the Walker's soul.

'Scanning him now, Tae,' Diego projected back through the mental link, his brow furrowing as he analyzed the swirling colors of the Walker's spiritual aura. 'Looking for any trace of malice, deception, or hidden betrayal...'

Up on the balcony, Diego's amber eyes burned with an intense, translucent light as his Soul-Vision cut straight past the Walker's physical form, dissecting every thread of his spiritual aura. At the exact same time, deep within Tae's mind, the newly evolved, fully sentient Logos processed a staggering stream of real-time psychological data.

'Director,' Logos's crisp, living voice echoed inside Tae's thoughts, analyzing every heart-rate fluctuation, pupil dilation, and neural spark from the Walker. 'My threat algorithms have cross-referenced his cognitive patterns against known deceptive profiles. Intent analysis complete: 0.00% active malice detected toward the Prodigies or the sanctuary. His primary drive is singular—eradicating the Void Decay parasite in his chest.'

A millisecond later, Diego's voice resonated through their private mental tether: 'Tae, Logos is right. I'm reading zero hidden malice. No dark soul-spikes, no deceptive intent. As far as his motives go right now... he's completely clean. He just wants Karai gone.'

'Got it,' Tae replied mentally.

Tae's trust in the Walker was still cautious, but with both Diego's soul-sensing and Logos's evolved intellect confirming the same verdict, his decision was made.

Down in the arena, the spar reached its absolute crescendo.

"LAST BLOW!" Tae roared.

Tae pivoted on his heel, his divine Logos Katana radiating a blinding, golden supernova of Buddha Essence. Simultaneously, the Walker smirked, gathering every ounce of his remaining 30% capacity into a concentrated, pitch-black void sphere wrapped around his right fist.

They launched at each other at point-blank range!

BOOM!

The combined impact shattered the titanium flooring, sending a localized shockwave ripping through the reinforced walls of the subterranean ring. As the blinding golden light and dark void smoke slowly cleared, Tae stood with his katana sheathed, while the Walker stood two feet away, breathing heavily, wiping a drop of sweat from his forehead.

"Not bad, Director," the Walker panted, smoothing down his coat with his classic, dry British charm. "Though I do believe my ribs will be feeling that golden strike of yours for a week."

"Save it," Tae said, turning toward the upper balcony. "Joseph. Diego. Ethan. Unseal his power."

The Unsealing of the Walker

The team moved efficiently. Down in the high-tech medical bay, the Walker sat in the center of a floating containment ring. Joseph, Diego, and Ethan surrounded him, their respective eye abilities blazing.

Joseph deployed his Ocular Logic Grid, mapping the intricate, multi-universal binding nodes of Karai's seal. Ethan utilized his atomic vision to isolate the sub-atomic decay threads, while Diego used his amber soul-tethers to hold the Walker's core steady.

"Initiating logic pick," Joseph stated calmly. "Ethan, sever node three. Diego, hold his soul line."

"On it," Ethan muttered, dark matter needles dancing between his fingers as he snipped the microscopic void tethers.

CRACK!

The black mark on the Walker's chest suddenly fractured like spiderwebbed glass.

A blinding, violent column of raw, unadulterated, multiversal pressure exploded outward! The high-tech containment field groaned under the sheer weight. The atmospheric pressure inside the room spiked so hard that the heavy blast doors buckled outward.

The Walker's eyes flared with pure, ethereal purple light as the remaining 70% of his suppressed power flooded back into his existence!

His aura expanded exponentially—dense, ancient, and utterly overwhelming. It was a terrifying reminder of why he held the No. 2 spot across the infinite multiverses for centuries.

The Walker let out a deep, satisfied breath, cracking his neck as the obsidian scar on his collarbone faded into a faint, manageable mark. He looked at his hands, his full, unmitigated presence shimmering around him like a dark galaxy.

"Ah..." the Walker purred, his British accent dripping with absolute, reborn supremacy. "Now that... feels infinitely better."

Kd leaned against the doorframe, his dark katana resting over his shoulder, his eyes narrowed as he felt the staggering surge of strength. "Don't get cocky, Walker. Full power or not, you step out of line, and Tae will still take your head."

The Walker chuckled smoothly, bowing dramatically. "Of course, Demon King. I am a gentleman of my word."

Testing Evolved Logos

While the rest of the brothers calibrated their gear and adjusted to the Walker's restored aura, Tae walked over to the open combat testing grounds on the lower floor. He closed his eyes, tuning into the living presence sitting in his mind.

'Logos,' Tae thought. 'Let's see what you can really do now.'

'Directing combat simulation protocols now, Tae,' Logos replied smoothly inside his consciousness. 'I have taken freedom to construct a hyper-realistic combat field based on our previous battles.'

In an instant, Tae's golden lotus eyes flared. Logos projected a massive, hard-light holographic battle simulation directly into Tae's vision, materializing three high-tier void-monsters—simulations of Karai's elite vanguard constructs—right in front of him.

'Target A moving at Mach 800,' Logos reported, its voice providing real-time combat telemetry directly to Tae's nervous system. 'Predictive pathing indicates a left-flank strike. Adjust stance by two degrees right.'

Tae didn't even look. Following Logos's instant neurological calculations, Tae leaned his head two inches to the right. The simulated monster's dark claw whistled harmlessly past his ear!

'Target B and C attempting synchronized spatial flank,' Logos continued. 'Deploying automated Logos Counter-Grid.'

Without Tae needing to manually formulate the divine energy, Logos autonomously drew upon Tae's Buddha Essence, forming two floating golden lotus blades behind Tae's back.

SWISH! SWISH!

The golden blades executed light-speed parries on their own, obliterating both simulated constructs into digital dust!

Tae drew his Logos Katana, a rare, genuinely excited smirk spreading across his face. "Man... having a fully sentient AI in my head feels like cheating."

'I am not a cheat code, Tae,' Logos cracked back with a dry, subtle tone of wit. 'I am simply the ultimate optimization of your divine brilliance.'

"Did my AI just throw shade?" Tae laughed softly to himself, sheathing his sword.

Downtime & Banter

Over in the main lounge of the subterranean complex, the rest of the brothers were scattered around, shaking off the exhaustion of the crazy morning.

Rashad was sitting at a workstation, running diagnostics on his tactical backpack after using it to siphon Ayden's chaotic mana earlier. Ayden, now fully recovered and back to his usual charismatic self, was leaning over Rashad's shoulder, eating a protein bar.

"Look, all I'm saying is," Ayden said, gesturing with his half-eaten bar, "my Galaxy Form was looking clean out there before I went rabid. You gotta admit, my footwork was elite."

Rashad didn't even look up from his screen. "Ayden, you almost kicked Kd through four mountains and tried to bite my face off. You were a literal wild animal."

"A wildly talented animal," Ayden corrected with a smirk.

"You're an idiot," Marcos called out from the couch, tossing his emerald soccer ball up and catching it. "Diego and I had to spend twenty minutes playing dodgeball with your galaxy punches while Tae was holding the entire multiverse together."

"Hey, it built character for y'all!" Ayden shot back, laughing.

Diego shook his head, leaning against the wall near Ethan and Jax. "Next time you get traumatized, Ayden, pick a fight with Karai directly. Don't come looking for us."

"Deal," Ayden grinned.

Meanwhile, Joseph walked into the center of the room, holding a updated tactical tablet, flanked by Kd and the newly unsealed Walker.

"Alright, listen up," Joseph commanded, his authoritative tone immediately bringing the room to a hush. Tae walked in from the training grounds, stepping up beside his brothers.

"The Walker's full power is restored, and his tracking frequency is synced with my Ocular Grid," Joseph explained, tapping the screen to bring up a glowing multiversal star map. "Karai thinks we're hiding here, resting and tending to our wounds. She has no idea we've unsealed the Walker or that Tae's Logos has fully evolved."

Tae stepped forward, his golden eyes burning with absolute, lethal focus as he looked around at all eight of his brothers and their new, reluctant ally.

"She gave us a message earlier," Tae said, a dangerous smirk returning to his face. "She said she'd be back to eat this universe."

Tae gripped the hilt of his katana, his divine aura humming softly.

"Let's not make her wait. Joseph... lock in her coordinates. We're taking the fight to her."
