"Alright. This is our first time really training together since Celatus, but things are going to be a little bit different from here on, guys." It was the day after Pepper's birthday, and I'd gathered the team on the opposite side of the island from our village pretty much as soon as the sun rose, telling them to wear something comfortable.
Lynn, Pepper and I had gone with some casual wear that we'd picked up in East City yesterday. Tommy and Tater had both ended up deciding to go with their old Frieza Force armor sets. We were all barefoot.
"We got really strong really fast. We've kept up our morning training to keep from getting weaker, but if we want to get strong, we'll have to work ten times as hard, and ten times as efficient as we've ever worked before. The days for laziness are… mostly… over. From now on, we'll be training pretty intensively for days, or weeks on end between our breaks. You're not allowed to give up if you want to get stronger." Once I was done with my speech, I found the rest of my team looking at me with stars in their eyes, except for Tommy, who seemed hesitant.
Pepper especially, looked like she was about to start hopping in place at superspeed.
I had them start with basic exercises. Tying a boulder to their waists and swimming as deep underwater as we could went first (Pepper and I played patty-cake on the ocean floor for about twenty minutes straight. Lynn joined us after a bit, but only managed to stay for about two minutes or so).
Next was flying, tied to a post, with rocks being thrown at you from a distance. We took turns there. Tater and Tommy got a few bruises, but nothing serious.
Then, bench pressing weights that I'd had the doctor make. Tater and Lynn both made it to ten thousand, while Pepper went to a hundred thousand. I didn't even bother counting mine, just used top speed and let myself fall at the same time as Pepper.
Then, finally, it was time for the real training.
During our trials, apparently, each of us had developed a powerful technique (except for Pepper, who'd developed something with me while the others were searching for the Namekians' 'treasure.' We called it the Regalia Cannon, and while it was much, much slower than the Regalia Wave, it was almost twice as powerful. I still preferred my Wave, though.)
I had each of them repeatedly fire their techniques off into the air to get used to the ki flow and maximize the efficiency, while I worked on my own technique.
"...Haaaahhhhh…..!" Tater couldn't help but pause mid-Catapult Bomber as he sensed my energy rising. Lynn and Tommy followed suit, awed silent, while Pepper stayed concentrated, unblinking, on her Regalia Cannon.
"YAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" With a scream, my aura finally stabilized.
As if she'd planned it, Pepper's Regalia Cannon exploded into the air at the exact moment I gave my scream, lighting up the sky as the rumbling stopped.
"...Urck…" I grimaced, looking into the sea below as I clenched my fist, struggling with my power. "You're… Mine…!"
It hurt, not a physical pain, but more like an unbearable pressure in my very soul. Still, it wasn't nearly as bad as it'd been back before Guru had unlocked my potential. "Gah…"
My reflection shone in the water. I'd successfully done it. The Ikari form. Laughter bubbled up from inside my chest, but I forced it down, knowing that if I let it out, the intense pressure that allowed me to keep this form in place would go with it.
In this form, I was nearly unrecognizable. My muscles exploded outward, resulting in over a foot of extra height, at the expense of my shirt tearing with every motion, full to bursting now that I was so much larger than I was in my base. I looked like an average-sized teenager. One that was overqualified for the Olympics, but still, a teenager. It shocked me a bit, since my base form looked like a kindergartener.
I hadn't hit my growth spurt yet, but I was almost as tall as I expected I'd be after I finished it. And my hair had flared upward, too, like a Super Saiyan's. Since it was already pretty spiky, the difference in shape wasn't large, but the difference in color was a bit of a shock.
After all, my hair had turned a sickly yellowish-green color. Not the vibrant green that Broly's turns, but something a lot lighter. Another difference from a normal Super Saiyan form was my eyes. Rather than turning bluish-green, they'd turned a bright gold color.
I managed to hold the form for about five minutes before the pressure became too much to handle, and it disappeared like a deflating balloon.
Honestly, holding my Ikari form felt like running against the winds of a hurricane.
No… Ikari meant 'Wrathful.' While the form did seem to affect my emotions, it felt a lot like the Oozaru form than anything else. While 'Wrath' wasn't totally wrong, describing it as such felt…
Off.
It wasn't a 'Wrathful' state… It was a Primal state.
Primal Saiyan form? That described it well, but…
I decided to go with Super Saiyan Primal. SSJP for short. While simply calling it Primal Saiyan form was a more accurate description, I could feel it clearly. It was similar to the Super Saiyan state. Another transformation line entirely, similar to the way Super Saiyan God was a totally different concept compared to Natural Super Saiyan.
Did that mean that Super Saiyan 4 was actually SSJP2, or something? I wasn't sure. Combining Super Saiyan God and Natural Super Saiyan essentially created SSJ Blue, which could technically be counted as SSJG2…? I'd have to think about it more carefully later, preferably after mastering SSJP.
For now, mastering this form was the best thing I could do. Integrating its power into my base strength. I could tell that it'd take a lot of time, though. Only after doing that, and mastering the original Super Saiyan form, would I be able to even dare to combine the two.
