Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: 0 Yuan Bargaining Coming Soon

"Brother Sen, how about we each invest half?" Song Yang suggested enthusiastically.

Chen Yansen smiled faintly. "Since I took the initiative to bring up this business, it means I don't think much of it. If you want to do it, rely on yourself. Otherwise, even if you succeed, no one will truly recognize you."

Song Yang was stunned. He frowned and then relaxed. He picked up his wine glass. "Thank you for the advice, Brother Sen."

"Do a good job!" Chen Yansen didn't say more and lightly clinked glasses.

Tang Zhenzhe and Wang Zhengqiang exchanged a glance, secretly reminding themselves to study.

The six finished two cases of beer. Song Yang swayed as he stood up, about to call for a waiter.

Chen Yansen stopped him. "Just a little tipsy is fine."

"Whatever you say, Brother Sen." Song Yang grinned.

Leaving the restaurant, the group strolled along Xue Lin Road, enjoying the breeze.

"I passed the student council interview. I'm now a member of the publicity department."

"Yangyang, want to join the recitation club? It's full of cute girls."

"I heard we're choosing sports interest classes next week. What should we choose?"

The group chatted and laughed.

"I think aerobics is best. There are definitely more girls." Zhu Xiaopeng pushed up his glasses.

"How about dance? Maybe a perfect encounter with a girl from the music academy." Meng Xibo said hopefully.

"Brother Sen, what class do you want to choose?" Song Yang nudged Chen Yansen.

"Soccer, of course." Chen Yansen answered without hesitation.

"Football? I never knew you liked football, Sen-ge." Wang Zhengqiang's eyes lit up.

"It's not that I like playing. Every year, there are far more boys than girls. Girls can't get into popular electives. In the end, we can only choose football classes nobody else is taking. The quantity and quality are much better than aerobics and dance." Chen Yansen shared his experience.

In his previous life, he chose dance class, only to find a large group of boys staring blankly.

"Really?" Tang Zhenzhe was skeptical.

"Believe it or not. I'm definitely choosing football." Chen Yansen chuckled.

Reaching a fork, Chen Yansen glimpsed a faint light on the second floor of the Entrepreneurship Park.

He waved goodbye and headed straight there.

Upon reaching the second floor, Song Yuncheng was engrossed in work, head down, fingers clattering.

"Ahem!" Chen Yansen cleared his throat as he walked closer.

"Ah!? When did you get here?" She looked up, initial surprise fading.

"Has your salary not arrived yet? Why are you still wearing these tattered clothes?" Chen Yansen glanced at her gray short-sleeved T-shirt, face showing displeasure.

"It's not tattered. There's not even a hole." Song Yuncheng stood up, turning around deliberately.

Chen Yansen chuckled. Her understanding of 'tattered clothes' was probably only literal.

He plopped on the table. "Pour me a glass of water."

"You... you've been drinking?" By the overhead lamp, Song Yuncheng saw his flushed face and smelled alcohol.

"Yeah." Chen Yansen nodded, casually picking up her notebook and flipping through it. It was full of product selection summaries and customer service scripts.

"Here, warm water." Song Yuncheng brought a glass.

"You don't usually eat much, so why is your face so chubby? Is this your natural talent?" Chen Yansen raised his hand and pinched her cheek.

Soft and bouncy. Smooth to the touch.

"Chen Yansen, let go!" Song Yuncheng protested fiercely, holding the glass, afraid of spilling it.

"Heh, you dare to yell at me!" Chen Yansen lowered his head, nose almost touching hers. "Believe it or not, I'll dock your pay?"

Song Yuncheng frowned, instinctively wanting to back away. But Chen Yansen shielded her from behind.

Unable to dodge, she stared directly at him. His eyes were bright, a wicked smile on his lips.

"What do you want?" Her voice trembled slightly.

"I think you don't want to lose this job, right?" Chen Yansen's eyes narrowed. He caught a faint scent. As if possessed, he lowered his head and took another step closer.

Song Yuncheng froze, eyes welling with tears. "Chen Yansen, with your looks and qualifications, you definitely don't lack girlfriends. Please, leave me alone!" Her voice was husky and hoarse.

"You don't want to be my girlfriend?" Chen Yansen's heart skipped a beat. He took a step back, asking irritably.

"But you have a girlfriend." Song Yuncheng, mind clear, shook her head.

"What if I didn't have a girlfriend now?" Chen Yansen pressed.

"I... I don't know." She lowered her head, silent for a long while before giving a vague answer.

Mua— Chen Yansen kissed her. Soft, moist, and tender.

Song Yuncheng's mind went blank. Her legs trembled violently. She grabbed the corner of the table just in time.

After what seemed like an eternity, just as Chen Yansen was about to take things further, a sharp pain shot through her tongue.

"Hey! Are you a dog? Why did you bite me!" Chen Yansen gasped, accusing her before she could speak.

"Why did you kiss me?" Realizing what happened, Song Yuncheng grabbed her notebook and threw it at him, voice trembling with tears.

"If you like someone, you kiss them. No need for so many reasons." Chen Yansen sneered.

"But you have a girlfriend!" Song Yuncheng growled.

"I don't mind." Chen Yansen shrugged.

"I do mind!" Song Yuncheng was both angry and laughing. When it came to shamelessness, no one could compare.

As soon as she finished, she turned and ran.

Chen Yansen chuckled, licked his lips, and burst into laughter—boisterous and tinged with indifference.

Hearing the laughter, Song Yuncheng ran faster. Her mind filled with the kiss and his wicked grin: "You don't want to lose this job, do you?"

She had just received a raise, earning 3000 yuan a month. With overtime, her income could reach 4000.

She previously worked part-time at the cafeteria and library, spending most of her free time there, and only earned 1200 a month. She really didn't want to lose this job.

Should I go to 206 tomorrow? She pondered, unable to find a definite answer.

The next day, Chen Yansen held a morning meeting, then never showed up again.

That evening, Song Yuncheng stayed to work overtime, hiding a brick in her drawer. She was determined: if Chen Yansen dared take advantage again, she would smash his head.

She listened for footsteps all night. Chen Yansen never appeared. Instead, Zhang Wenbo, Xiang Pengfei, and others came to discuss the 0-yuan price-cutting program.

On the third day, Chen Yansen spent most of the day in 206 but didn't say a single unnecessary word to Song Yuncheng. He didn't come that evening.

For the next ten days, Chen Yansen was busy with ad placement and retention strategies. Not a single unnecessary word to Song Yuncheng.

She breathed a sigh of relief but felt a pang of disappointment.

By late October, Wang Zihao's external advertising team was proficient. The "0 Yuan Price Cut" feature was nearing completion.

"Everyone, look here! The 0 Yuan Price Cut is about to launch. Everyone except the testing team, go experience the gameplay. Try to find all bugs before launch." Chen Yansen clapped his hands.

"Okay, Brother Sen!"

"No problem!"

"Wenbo and Pengfei are fast!" Everyone responded.

"Also, because we don't have a payment system, all orders will have to be manually imported by the operations team. Please bear with us."

"Brother Sen, we're fine." Chen Xu and Hu Li quickly replied.

"Don't worry. I'll have Pengfei develop an automatic order import/export program to reduce your workload." Chen Yansen said gently.

Afterward, he pulled Wang Zihao into Room 204 for a meeting to finalize the day's advertising strategy.

"Your friend's help has been successful, saving you 5.9 yuan!" The pop-up message was rudimentary but usable.

Chen Yansen put down his phone and strolled into Cao Dahua's office.
