Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 – Good brothers sleep together

Two hours later.

Wang Ziyan ran up to Chen Yansen, holding the last empty cardboard box, her smile bright enough to light up the morning."All sold out!"

In less than three hours, 200 MP3 players and 100 MP4 players had vanished.

"Holy crap! One, ten, hundred, thousand… Chen Yansen, we're rich!"

Wang Zihao tossed the empty box into the air, dancing wildly. Tears shimmered in his eyes.

Chen Yansen just smiled faintly. Young people and their over-the-top excitement.

The turnover was around 30,000 yuan. Profit? 13,000. Not much by his standards—but enough to make him feel like a king.

Outside, the crowd grew restless.

"What? I've waited all morning, and now it's gone?""Boss, are you coming to Chongqiao tomorrow?""I'll add 20 yuan—any chance of an MP4?"

Dozens jostled around the booth, anger and disappointment bubbling.

Chen Yansen glanced at his phone. 10:30 AM. Another trip would take forty minutes—tight, but doable.

"Brother Sen, stay here. I'll go with Master Huang to get more stock," Wang Zihao volunteered eagerly.

Chen Yansen nodded. "Thanks for making another trip, Master Huang."

"No problem," Huang Boxiang said. For 200 yuan a day and gas money, another run was trivial.

"Haozi, four boxes of MP3s, two of MP4s. Don't forget freebies and accessories."

"Got it!" Wang Zihao gave an 'OK' sign and climbed into the car. Huang Boxiang slammed the gas pedal—the car shot down the road like a bullet.

Chen Yansen grabbed the megaphone. "Everyone! My colleague is fetching more stock. It will take about forty minutes. Those willing to wait, please line up. We'll sell in order when the goods arrive."

"Now that's better!"

"I've waited two hours already—forty minutes won't kill me!""Cut the line, and I'll—""Ouch, my back!"

The line was long, tens of meters, but calm returned quickly. Few dared to make trouble in front of the inspection station.

Wang Ziyan perched on a stool, legs swinging, staring at Chen Yansen with admiration."Brother Yansen… congratulations!"

Thirteen thousand six hundred yuan in one morning. Their parents would have had to work half a year for that.

"Congratulations on what? Making money?" Chen Yansen asked, his gaze sharp.

Even without makeup, her delicate features and peach-blossom eyes made her stunning.

"On your plan's success! No need to worry about Uncle Chen finding out, or he'd treat you to 'belt-fried shredded pork'!" Wang Ziyan wiped sweat from her brow, smiling.

"I've never worried," Chen Yansen said, lips curling in a confident, smug smile. Sweat on his chin caught the sunlight.

"Brother Yansen, when I grow up—"

"No! Absolutely not! No discussion!" Chen Yansen cut her off, unusually serious.

"I haven't even finished!" Wang Ziyan pouted, voice stiff with anger.

"I don't think so," Chen Yansen said, recalling her past antics and smirking. Then he ignored her and opened QQ.

A flurry of notifications appeared:

"Chen Yansen, I heard you signed up for the C2 driving course. No offense, but you're so lame—I got my license last month.""Want to play ball? My treat!""You never even log into QQ!""Karaoke next week with Zhou Xue and Li Maimai. Join us if you're free!"

Meng Jie. One message a day, three days straight.

Chen Yansen shook his head. "If you're interested, no need to go through Wang Zihao."

She went online—he typed quickly.

"Beep beep beep—"

Meng Jie froze, her smile locked in pure joy.

Was she interested? Definitely.

Though classmates for three years, they barely interacted—mostly academics. His graduation party transformation had shaken her: clean-cut hair, decisive breakup with Zhou Keyuan, carefree smile stirring something new inside her.

Never having dated before, she wasn't sure if it counted as liking someone. Yet, she wanted to see him. Even just to chat.

"Who's interested in you? I said—we're all brothers.""Okay, good brother. Let's sleep together sometime."

"Damn! Can't you ever be serious?" Meng Jie covered her face, heart racing.

"Playing ball or karaoke? Out of the question. No time." Chen Yansen replied flatly. Making money came first—flirting was just a side job.

"Who are you chatting with, looking so happy?" Wang Ziyan asked.

"You're just a kid. Don't pry." Chen Yansen smoothly put the phone away.

"Tch—" Wang Ziyan pouted, fists raised, then sighed and rested her chin on her hand, lost in thought.

Fortune smiled—Wang Zihao returned with the goods. The team erupted into action again.

But Chen Yansen felt a faint twinge of unease. Something about the line today… it didn't feel completely normal.

And deep down, he knew—trouble might be just around the corner.
