Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: "I wish to mourn the departed, weeping tears like rain... You Actually Believe That?"

"Hello there~ My name is Sparkle, and I'm a Galaxy Ranger~"

"Sparkle" greeted the group with effortless familiarity.

"A Galaxy Ranger?" Dan Heng narrowed his eyes, clearly skeptical of "Sparkle's" claim.

"That's right~ Black Tea and I are as close as sisters~"

"Sparkle" said to them with a playful grin.

"When those little Anti-Matter Legion Voidrangers invaded the space station, little Black Tea(?) was too busy with her experiments to deal with it. She just happened to know I was vacationing nearby."

"That little Black Tea, she cried and begged me, you know."

"What could I do? As her dear sister, of course I agreed to her request and came to the station."

"Sparkle" spread her hands as if everything had been utterly unavoidable.

"I see." Dan Heng gave a slow nod at her words.

"?" March 7th couldn't help but conjure a mental question mark seeing Dan Heng's reaction.

"Hey, what's wrong with you? This woman is suspicious from head to toe."

"You're not actually buying her nonsense, are you?"

Hearing this, Dan Heng shook his head slightly.

"While I don't fully believe her either, there's a faint voice inside me telling me that even if her story isn't entirely true, she doesn't mean us any harm."

"So, at least regarding protecting the space station and driving out the Anti-Matter Legion, we can trust her."

"Ohh." March 7th nodded, though she only half-understood.

Taking in the little exchange between March 7th and Dan Heng, our "Miss Sparkle"—or perhaps we should call her Miss Clara—allowed the corners of her lips to curl up ever so slightly, as if she'd just pulled off some mischief.

The little dragon, handled.

But this March 7th...

Clara's thoughts lingered here, and she shot another glance at March. After Clara had altered Dan Heng's subconscious perception of her, she'd also tried her tricks on little March.

But no matter what Clara tried to tweak, March 7th showed absolutely no reaction. This gave Clara ample reason to suspect March might also be a hidden Emanator.

After all, her abilities were ineffective against things at the Emanator level or above. Of course, it could also be due to a special constitution.

But that had nothing to do with Clara anyway. Given March 7th's brainpower, whether it was altered or not probably made little difference.

March 7th: Do you think I'm an idiot?

"Hey! I feel like you're thinking something rude about me." Sensing Clara's gaze, March 7th couldn't help but blurt out.

"Ah~ My apologies. It's just that Miss March is so lovely, I was momentarily captivated."

Hearing March's words, Clara put on a suitably apologetic expression and promptly apologized.

"Uh..." March 7th's face actually flushed with a hint of shyness at that. "W-well... at least you have good taste."

After saying this, March leaned closer to Dan Heng and whispered, "Dan Heng, I think you make a good point. Maybe she really isn't a bad person."

Stelle: "..."

Behind March and Dan Heng, Stelle listened to their conversation, her eyelid twitching.

Why were they so quick to trust a stranger's word? Oh, right, I'm a stranger too. Never mind then.

Having thought this, Stelle didn't voice any warning to Dan Heng and March. After all, it offered no benefit to her, and might even backfire...

But... this person...

Stelle stole a glance at the "Sparkle" impersonated by Clara, then quickly averted her eyes.

Stelle didn't know why, but whenever she looked at her, an inexplicable sense of dread welled up inside...

She didn't understand it, but she also didn't dare to ask.

Clara observed all of Stelle's subtle movements but wasn't in a hurry to reveal herself. She had plans for a proper "big surprise" for her later.

"Oh, right. What did you mean earlier by 'Stellaron Spirit'?" March 7th, remembering Clara's earlier words, asked curiously.

Stellaron Spirit? March knew what a Stellaron was, but what did 'Spirit' mean? Could it be... a Stellaron that gained sentience?

"Just... the literal meaning." Clara shrugged, then pointed a finger at Stelle. "Inside her body is a complete Stellaron."

Hearing this, both March 7th and Dan Heng simultaneously turned their gazes toward Stelle.

"I don't know anything about that." Stelle scratched her head; she genuinely had no idea.

"Are... are you okay?" Learning there was a Stellaron inside Stelle's body, March 7th's face filled with concern as she asked.

As a member of the Astral Express, March 7th certainly knew what a Stellaron was.

The Astral Express had traveled to many worlds. Although March hadn't been on board for too long, she'd seen related information in the data bank.

Even without witnessing it firsthand, just the recorded texts and pictures were enough to convey the disaster a Stellaron could bring to a world.

But now, this living, breathing person right before her eyes had one of those disaster-bringing Stellarons inside her...

"Ah, you needn't worry. The Stellaron and her body are keeping each other in check, so it's quite stable. As long as no external factors interfere, there shouldn't be any issues."

Clara gave a light laugh and explained unhurriedly.

"Hey! That still means there could be a problem!" Hearing Clara's explanation, March 7th grew even more worried.

"Well, compared to that issue, I think we should discuss something else first." In response, Clara merely smiled faintly and didn't elaborate further.

"The Anti-Matter Legion targeting the space station is partly due to human factors, but another reason is naturally the aura emitted by the Stellaron."

"Plus, just now, the moment she awoke, the Stellaron's aura leaked out. That's precisely how I found you all."

"So, do you understand what I'm implying?"

"You mean..." Dan Heng narrowed his eyes, grasping Clara's meaning instantly.

"Mean what? Could you stop speaking in riddles!" Listening to their exchange, March 7th's head felt a bit muddled.

"What I mean is, we are currently surrounded."

The moment Clara's words fell, countless Voidrangers materialized around them, encircling the group completely.

"Whoa! There are so many!" Seeing the surrounding Voidrangers, March 7th let out an exclamation.

"March, call for backup immediately. We might not hold out for long." Dan Heng summoned his weapon, his gaze grave as he surveyed the surrounding Voidrangers, including the several Voidranger Tramplers in their midst.

"Ah, r-right. Got it."

"No need for such trouble. They're just some small fry."

Just as March 7th pulled out her phone to call for help, Clara took a step forward. A long, violet blade appeared in her hand.

"I wish to mourn the departed, weeping tears like rain, to swell the crossing stream..."

"...as the tide arrives, leading you back home."

Clara slowly drew the blade. An immense power seemed to solidify the very space around them.

In the next instant, Clara gave the blade in her hand a gentle swing. And in that same moment, every single Voidranger in the area vanished into nothingness...
