After the two of them landed, the scattered zombies nearby quickly swarmed over. Compared to the first time, there were far fewer zombies, yet their movements were much quicker. They could already run at normal human speed.
"Desolate Domain!"Sima Yi's second skill. Once released, it suppresses all hostile units within the nearby area. Range (scales with level). Suppression duration (depends on the enemy unit's strength), lasting 3 seconds. While inside the domain, any damage taken will automatically heal half of the equivalent value. The first attack after casting allows an instant teleport behind the target.
The zombies that had been charging forward were instantly suppressed in place. Black shadows filled the sky, spreading outward for a full twenty meters.

"Momo, how long have you known him…"Xie Wan'er pulled Su Momo aside and whispered quietly, her gaze intentionally—or unintentionally—glancing toward the battlefield shrouded in black shadows.
"A long time…"Su Momo froze for a moment, then answered cautiously with a lie she didn't truly mean.
"Then between you and Duoduo, who's his girlfriend?"
At that moment, Su Momo fell silent. Ye Xin could cook, was incredibly strong, and most importantly, he knew how to take care of people. Even before the apocalypse, he would've been someone girls competed over.
"If Momo won't say it, that's fine. Ye Xin gege, I'm definitely chasing you."
What she said in her heart, she still couldn't face honestly. To provoke them a little, Xie Wan'er decided to step in—half helping Ye Xin, half stirring things up.

Smoke drifted through the air. Ye Xin charged toward a zombie. Everywhere the domain covered was a place he could teleport to. The passive skill could only be used once, but it didn't matter. His footsteps were light as he dodged rapidly. After evading twice, the black domain dispersed, finally revealing the zombie's true form.
Two heads. Four legs. A face full of sharp teeth. Red eyes. A tongue sticking out like a long apricot pit.
"So ugly~"Su Duoduo complained casually.
The creature lashed out instantly, its long tongue shooting toward the human who had insulted it.
"Ghost Bite!"
A shadow dragged out from Ye Xin's foot, swapping positions with his main body as it sliced clean through the long tongue. The wind sword in his hand transformed into a fire sword, and three flaming dragon slashes burst forth.
"Sss—!"The mutated zombie let out a hysterical scream. The surrounding zombies seemed encouraged by it and charged forward all at once. These zombies were far more ferocious than yesterday's, with bone-spur-like growths on their fingernails.
"Big bad guy, those are complete-form zombies—equivalent to peak first-rank awakened ones. They're not that strong. You can handle them alone."
From the moment she came over, Su Duoduo decided she'd handle support and transport, not killing zombies. After all, the big bad guy had bullied her yesterday by being so close to other girls.
She said it like that, but whenever a zombie got close behind him, she would condense a spatial blade and slash it away—then pretend nothing had happened.

She lay obediently in Ye Xin's arms, looking at him with puzzled eyes, waiting for him to speak.
Surrounded by a forest of corpses, Ye Xin carried Su Duoduo as he dashed left and right. Each kick was precise and powerful, blowing apart an enemy, as if he were performing a breathtaking dance of battle.
He completely ignored the zombies attacking him.
"Little silly, I like you!"Ye Xin's tone was extremely serious, genuine emotion shining in his eyes.
Su Duoduo was the one who had interacted with him the most—and the one he had poured the most feelings into.
The life-and-death trials of these past days were far beyond what ordinary couples could experience in years.
"Wuwu… big bad guy… why would you confess to me at a time like this…"
Tears slowly streamed down Su Duoduo's face—tears of happiness. She couldn't deny it. She liked Ye Xin too.
But she was a girl… how could she be the one to confess first…

All of this was seen by others. Ye Xin couldn't be bothered to care. There were too many people to look after anyway. Once the first batch was cultivated, more people would naturally follow.
