Element Mage Accession.
Looking at the book, Elina felt an itch in her heart to read it.
This was the same book her brother had shown her the previous night.
"Sister, when I read this magical book, I suddenly felt something change in me. I felt like I became stronger."
Those were her younger brother's words.
At the time, she had not completely believed him. Now, she realized how naive she had been.
She looked toward the store owner and asked with hope in her voice.
"Store Owner, if I buy that magical book, will I become stronger?"
Hearing the question, Raeshan was momentarily confused, but he quickly understood.
There was a chance the reader might comprehend skills or experience sudden enlightenment.
He looked at Elina and replied with a smile.
"There is a chance you may comprehend skills or experience sudden enlightenment. But it depends on your luck."
Hearing this, Elina felt relieved.
The store owner had confirmed it. That meant it worked.
Her eyes sparkled.
She looked toward the bookshelf where the magical book was placed, no, the manga.
Five silver coins, just as her brother had described.
She gritted her teeth and made her decision. Everything was worth it if it meant becoming stronger.
"Give me one copy," she said, placing five silver coins on the counter.
Seeing the silver coins, Raeshan's eyes lit up.
"Thank you for your support, young lady," he said as he counted the coins.
Elina took the manga and walked toward the reading area.
Seeing this, Rin stood there, unsure of what to do. Everything had happened too fast.
She looked at the store owner and said that she also wanted a copy, placing five silver coins on the counter.
Raeshan handed her a copy of Element Mage Accession.
Rin held the book, thinking she would read it later at the inn. For now, she just wanted to rest.
She walked toward the reading area while Kai remained at the counter.
Raeshan looked at his golden goldfish and asked what he wanted.
"Do you have volume two of Element Mage Accession?" Kai asked.
Raeshan nodded.
"Yes."
"How much?"
"Five silver coins."
Kai took five silver coins from his pouch and paid.
Raeshan took out volume two from the system inventory and handed it to him.
Kai felt happy as he received volume two. With a bright smile, he walked toward the reading area.
Elina was already reading her manga, while Rin leaned closer, looking at Elina's book with curious eyes.
Kai sat down and looked at the cover of volume two.
A red haired witch rested on the branch of an old, glowing tree.
She was so pretty.
That was Kai's first thought.
While Elina was reading the manga, memories surfaced.
She had opened Kai's book the previous night, but she had not felt anything back then. Still, she had been surprised by the art quality.
This level of artwork could only be produced by artists of the royal family, or so she had thought.
Now, as she opened it again, the art felt even better.
She began to read.
She already knew the story from Kai, but reading it herself felt different.
This was the first time she had ever felt something like this.
The story followed an inspired mage named Elean, who dreamed of becoming an Archmage. To achieve that goal, he set out on a journey to grow stronger.
His journey was far from peaceful. He encountered many problems, but he solved them through intelligence and magical power.
Along the way, he met many different people.
Was this not every mage's dream?
To travel the world, meet different people, explore dungeons, and grow stronger.
Elina felt her chest tighten.
She had also become a mage to grow stronger, to protect her brother, and to travel the world with him.
But reality had crushed those dreams.
She had once believed herself to be a genius when she awakened as a mage at the age of fourteen. Everyone around her had called her a prodigy.
Now, she was stuck at the late stage of low grade, unable to break through.
Elina let out a quiet sigh and continued reading.
When Elean faced his enemies, he used spell after spell that Elina had never seen in her life.
Each movement, each casting method, felt completely different from the magic she knew.
Instead of confusion, excitement burned inside her.
As she followed Elean's explanations during battle, her fingers twitched. She could feel it. She could copy it.
Without realizing it, something deep within her began to stir.
Her mana core responded.
The story turned darker.
When strange disturbances spread through the Samagra Mountain Range and villagers began to disappear, Elean went to investigate. He never expected what awaited him there.
A Devil General.
The panel hit her like a hammer.
The Devil General towered like a nightmare. Demonic pressure spilled from the page itself, crushing and suffocating.
Elean stood before him, staff trembling, yet his gaze remained sharp and unyielding.
Elina's blood roared.
Her heartbeat thundered in her ears.
As a mage, she felt the scene in her bones.
Then pain struck.
Her heart clenched without warning.
Immense pressure descended, hammering her mana core again and again, as if tempering it by force. Mana surged violently through her body.
Boom.
A burst of mana exploded outward from Elina.
The air around her trembled.
She brokethrough.
Low grade late stage shattered like fragile glass, giving way to mid grade early stage.
Her mana core expanded, doubling in size in an instant.
Fresh, powerful mana flooded her limbs, burning hot and alive.
Her body screamed, then adapted.
Strength she had never felt before filled her veins.
Elina's eyes snapped open.
Her breath came fast.
Disbelief. Shock. Overwhelming excitement.
"I… I really broke through."
