Chapter 33 - The Plane of the Three Musketeers

Danial woke up after a while and found himself lying on the ground. It took him some time to figure out his bearings.

He stood up, intending to walk out of the forest—only to realize he was no longer in it.

He had somehow entered another dimension.

A dimension where nothing existed. Even the ground beneath his feet was transparent, as if made of glass. The only colour that filled this place was white—endless, boundless white.

Danial was stunned. He tried to recall how he had arrived here, and then it hit him.

He had touched a stone with strange, unfamiliar markings… and was transported here.

He began exploring the area, but no matter how far he looked, there was nothing. No landmarks. No edges. No sky. Just infinite white.

As he continued searching for a way out, he suddenly realized something was wrong.

He couldn't move.

No matter how much force he applied, his body refused to move even an inch forward.

Danial grew aggravated, then irritated. He was trapped—locked in this strange dimension with no way to act, no way to fight back.

At that moment, a voice descended upon him.

A voice so powerful that it shook the entire dimension.

"Who dares to trespass in my dimension?"

Before Danial could even react, another voice echoed.

"Don't be so overbearing. He must have entered by mistake. Let's just wipe his memory and kick him out. He won't even know what happened."

Then came a third voice—calm, arrogant, and composed.

"If he was chosen to enter our dimension, then he must be special."

"I doubt that," another voice scoffed. "It's been five thousand years. He's the first to enter. Maybe we should welcome him."

"He's not even past the Grandmaster realm," the third voice said coldly. "We could kill him with a sneeze."

While the three heavenly voices argued, Danial's mind raced.

Could kill me with a sneeze? They've been here for thousands of years? What the hell is going on?What are they going to do to me? I don't want to die yet… I just got the system. My journey isn't supposed to end like this.

Just as panic set in, the voices stopped.

The calm, arrogant voice spoke again.

"Let's see first whether he's worthy to stay in our dimension or not."

Suddenly, Danial's body began floating.

Mystic energies invaded him from all directions, pouring into his body like an overwhelming tide.

He didn't resist.

He knew he couldn't.

Even the system remained silent—his cultivation simply wasn't high enough to interfere.

After what felt like an eternity, Danial slowly descended and touched the ground once more. His body obeyed him again.

Then, three figures began to manifest before him.

The first wore ancient robes, with massive metal bracelets adorning his arms.

The second wore monk robes, his expression calm and serene.

The third stood clad in samurai attire, a katana resting at his side—one that emanated pure despair just by being looked at.

The robed figure spoke first.

"Who would have thought the first person to enter our realm would possess Divine Entanglement… truly fascinating."

The monk smiled gently.

"Amitabha. You are chosen, child. You are destined for greatness."

The samurai scoffed.

"He's still in the foundational stage, and you're already praising him."

The monk replied calmly, "At least let us introduce ourselves."

The robed man spoke."My name is Balthasar."

The monk bowed slightly."Amitabha. I am Abhaya."

The samurai spoke arrogantly."Yamato."

"We are the Masters of this plane," they said together."The Three Musketeers."

Their voices shook the entire dimension.

Danial stared at them in awe.

If they can create a dimension of infinite scale… what else are they capable of?

Balthasar spoke again.

"You have many questions. Their answers will come in time. For now, all you need to do is get stronger."

Abhaya added, "Amitabha. The moment we inspected your body, we discovered the Divine Entanglement hidden within you."

Yamato snorted."Such power… wasted on such a weak body."

"Yamato," Abhaya said, displeased. "Give the child a break. He hasn't even begun to realize his potential."

Danial was stunned.

Divine Entanglement? That's what the black-robed man mentioned… what is going on?

"Enough," Balthasar said. "Focus."

He turned to Danial.

"Lad, we will train you until you reach the Law Transformation Realm. Until then, you will remain here."

Danial blurted out, "What!? I can't leave? My mom will kill me! My family will worry! I can't just disappear!"

Yamato lifted his gaze.

In an instant, crushing pressure descended.

Danial fell to his knees before he could even react.

"Brat," Yamato said coldly, "watch how you speak. We could erase your entire dimension without effort."

Balthasar waved his hand."Enough, Yamato. The world outside has changed."

He sighed.

"We weren't supposed to tell you this yet…"

"Amitabha," Abhaya said cautiously. "Perhaps we shouldn't."

But Balthasar shook his head.

"We have no choice."

He revealed the truth.

"We did not create this dimension. It was passed down to us by a being worthy of the title Divine Celestial. Our duty is to fulfill an ancient prophecy—one in which you play a part."

Danial asked desperately, "What prophecy? Why me?"

"All in due time," Balthasar replied.

"This dimension does not follow normal time. One month here equals one hour outside. When your training is complete, you will return."

Danial sighed.

"I don't have a choice, do I?"

He bowed deeply.

"Masters, please accept me as your disciple."

Yamato spoke coldly,"Brat, you will experience literal hell. And once you begin, there will be no quitting."

Danial thought about it for a moment before replying firmly,"I will not fail."

Balthasar nodded in approval and snapped his fingers. Instantly, the entire dimension began to shift and transform.

It's going to be a long journey, Danial thought to himself.

Abhaya, the monk, spoke calmly,"Since you have accepted us as your Masters, let us begin your training."

Balthasar stepped forward."Abhaya, let me teach him first."

"Amitabha," Abhaya replied, visibly annoyed. "I have decided to teach him first."

The two began arguing right in front of Danial.

Suddenly, Yamato interrupted, his voice sharp.

"Enough, you old fools. Use your minds."

He glanced at Danial with disdain.

"He won't be able to leave until we pass everything on to him. And even if we taught him anything now, do you really think this weak body could withstand our skills?"

Yamato scoffed.

"He wouldn't survive even a basic sword technique."

Danial stared at him, eyes wide.

"I wouldn't be able to what now!?"

Abhaya and Balthasar exchanged looks, seemingly agreeing with Yamato's assessment.

Yamato then turned toward Abhaya.

"Abhaya, you should train him first. You possess the strongest physical body among us. Strengthening his body will solidify his foundation."

Abhaya nodded in agreement.

Moments later, Yamato and Balthasar dissolved into wisps of smoke, disappearing entirely and leaving Danial alone with the monk.

Abhaya looked down at Danial, who was still kneeling.

"Let us begin Phase One of your training," he said calmly."I will start gently, then increase the difficulty as your progress improves."

Danial let out a sigh of relief.

But it was short-lived.

Abhaya turned and said plainly,

"For your first task, you will complete ten thousand push-ups, ten thousand sit-ups, and a ten-thousand-kilometre run."

He paused.

"You have four days."

"Once you finish, we will move on to the next phase."

Danial's eyes widened.

For the first time since entering this dimension, he wondered—

Did I make the right decision?
