Chapter 101 - Chapter 100 Wenger: Fabregas and Fry, who will be the captain?

The 38th minute of the match.

Arsenal had a set piece in the attacking third, Fabregas took the kick, and Koscielny overpowered Coloccini in the box to get a header, but unfortunately, the ball went slightly wide, missing the goal frame.

The 42nd minute of the match.

The long-awaited opportunity for Fly finally arrived.

After Newcastle United completed an attack, Ameobi took a push shot from the right side of the box, and the ball went slightly wide of the far post of the Arsenal goal.

After Fabianski took the goal kick, the ball was won by Alexandre Song in the midfield.

Song then sent a long pass to Walcott who was rapidly advancing on the right flank.

After getting the ball, Walcott used a burst of pace to once again leave Newcastle United defender Williamson in the dust!

When he carried the ball a few meters from the edge of the Newcastle United penalty area, Walcott passed the ball across to Fabregas who had advanced into position.

Cesc Fàbregas received the ball and delivered a first-time chipped pass. The ball arced beautifully through the air and dropped directly towards the left side of the Newcastle United box.

The moment Fabregas touched the ball, Fly immediately made a diagonal run from the left flank towards the left side of the box.

Coloccini hadn't even had time to adjust his position before Fly left him trailing, only seeing his back.

Danny Simpson, positioned in the center, saw the ball dropping into a dangerous area and quickly moved towards its landing spot, but he was ultimately a step too slow.

Facing the ball dropping from above, Fly judged the distance and had already prepared his shot when he reached two meters before the ball's landing spot.

Facing the ball dropping to waist height, Fly swung his right leg and unleashed a powerful shot!

After realizing José Enrique's intention to shoot, he immediately threw his body out, but ultimately could not prevent Fly from completing the entire shooting process.

Facing a volley from less than 15 yards out, Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul was completely stunned.

He had only just stretched out his arms when the ball, like a cannonball, flew directly towards the top left corner of the goal.

Fly, with a successful volley, scored the first goal, helping Arsenal take a 1-0 lead.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!"

"Number 13, Fly Adams!!!"

"Oh, my god, that first-time volley is absolutely beautiful."

"Undeniably, Fly has once again given us a spectacular goal."

"The visual impact of this goal is simply off the charts. I'm left speechless, except to marvel."

Martin Tyler in the Sky Sports studio had shouted himself red in the face, as if having a fit.

Andy Gray, beside him, also had to admit that Fly's volley was indeed beautiful.

"In the past, this kind of first-time volley was Van Persie's specialty. I didn't expect Fly to learn it now."

"Arsenal's attacking options for their forwards will be even richer in the future, and their opponents will only find it harder to defend against them."

"This is not good news for strong teams like Manchester United and Chelsea."

"Of course, the most terrifying aspect is that Fly is still growing."

"According to past data, Fly was not good at this kind of first-time volley."

"Compared to shooting directly without controlling the ball, he previously preferred to control the ball before shooting."

"Now it seems Fly is making his shooting techniques more diverse."

"Without a doubt, he is still growing!"

"A Fly who hasn't even fully enriched his Arsenal can achieve a goal-scoring efficiency of two goals per game in the Premier League."

"If his Arsenal is fully upgraded, who knows what kind of explosive performance and efficiency he will produce."

"Let's wait and see!"

The 45th minute of the match.

Just as Fly was waiting for the Main Referee to blow the whistle for the end of the first half and return to the locker room to rest, Arsenal's defense made another huge mistake!

Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton's through ball inexplicably cut through the Arsenal defense.

Koscielny made a major marking error, allowing Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll to receive the through ball in the box and shoot without any obstruction.

In the end, despite Fabianski's best efforts, he couldn't save the shot.

Newcastle United equalized the score within 3 minutes of Arsenal's goal!

1-1, the teams were level at halftime.

god knows how unhappy Fly was watching his teammates concede such a baffling goal from the front!

Seriously, his mindset was already a bit blown!

Fly had finally managed to open the scoring for the team with a shooting technique he wasn't particularly good at, only for his teammates to immediately squander the advantage?

It's really... six. Fly could only use the word 'six'.

Wenger on the sidelines saw Arsenal's defense make another mistake and angrily swung his arm, showing his extreme displeasure.

After Arsenal restarted the match, the Main Referee immediately blew the whistle for the end of the first half.

Back in the locker room, Koscielny proactively apologized to his teammates, saying it was his fault and he would take responsibility.

Even if Fly was unhappy at this moment, he wouldn't show it to Koscielny.

Walking up and patting Koscielny's shoulder, Fly said nonchalantly, "Relax, Bro, it's no big deal."

"It's just one mistake, right? It's not a major issue. I'll just score another one in the second half to make up for it."

Seeing Fly, the goalscorer, comforting him like this, Koscielny was touched and quickly said to Fly, "Brother, thanks. If anyone causes you trouble on the field in the future, I'll beat them up for you!"

Fly waved his hand and smiled, saying it wasn't necessary, as beating someone up would result in a red card.

Wenger saw that Fly, this 'Prince' of Arsenal, didn't show any displeasure despite the team conceding due to his teammate's mistake, and couldn't help but nod.

He suddenly felt that compared to Fabregas, Fly, who was stronger and more tolerant of his teammates, seemed more suitable to be Arsenal's captain.

Of course, this thought was just a fleeting one.

After all, Fabregas had been playing for Arsenal for many years and was like a child that Arsenal fans had watched grow up.

Whether from a seniority or emotional standpoint, Wenger would make Fabregas the captain.

At least at this stage, Fly could not pose a threat to Fabregas, even if his immediate impact might be stronger.

Wenger could build tactics with Fly as the absolute core, but the role of team captain had to be given to Fabregas.

The two should not be confused.

"Unless Cesc (Fabregas) makes a big mistake in the future, the team captain can only be him."

After the second half began, Arsenal attempted a quick attack, hoping to catch Newcastle United off guard.

However, with Fly's shot being saved and Wilshere's long-range shot hitting the crossbar, Arsenal's plan was declared bankrupt.

The 56th minute of the match.

Wenger substituted the muscle-discomforted Nasri for Arshavin, forming a three-pronged attack with Walcott and Fly.

When these three forwards combined, Fly's position automatically moved to the center, Arshavin shifted to the left, and Walcott remained on the right.

The 62nd minute of the match.

Fly sent a through ball from the edge of the box to the right side of the area, and Arshavin's shot was again saved by Tim Krul.

The 67th minute of the match.

Walcott and Fly played a one-two passing combination at the edge of the box, but unfortunately, after receiving the through ball, Little Tiger shot high over the goal.

The 69th minute of the match.

Fabregas was shown a yellow card for tripping Joey Barton during a midfield challenge.

The 73rd minute of the match.

Wenger substituted the somewhat fatigued Wilshere for Van Persie, creating a four-man attack upfront.

After Van Persie came on, Fly's position changed even further from a forward to a shadow striker, playing behind Van Persie, the center forward.

In the 78th minute, Wenger's substitution quickly paid off.

Alexandre Song sent a through ball to Arshavin on the left, who received the ball and passed it across to Fly.

Fly then passed the ball back to Fabregas behind him.

Cesc Fàbregas received the ball and, without any hesitation, chipped it directly into the middle of the box.

Van Persie, who was wrestling with defenders upfront, used his body to hold off José Enrique and Danny Simpson, heading the ball back to Fly at the edge of the box.

Fly received the ball, nudged it slightly to the right, and before Danny Simpson could close him down, unleashed a right-footed curling shot. The ball skimmed the grass, arcing inwards, and flew directly towards the goal.

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul's view was blocked by Van Persie, so he didn't see Fly's shot immediately.

By the time he reacted, he only saw the ball suddenly emerge from between the players, flying directly towards the bottom right corner of the goal.

Startled, Tim Krul instinctively dove horizontally to his left, but unfortunately, his fingertips were still 5 centimeters short of touching the ball. Tim Krul could only watch helplessly as the ball flew into the net right in front of him.

Fly, with a brace, scored another goal for Arsenal. The current score is 2-1, with Arsenal leading by one goal!

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!"

"Number 13, Fly Adams!!!"

"Incredible, Fly has scored again!"

"In crucial moments, you can always trust him!"

"In the 78th minute of the match, Fly's curling shot from the edge of the box helped the team score again, making it 2-1, and Arsenal took the lead once more!"

"We all know that in Arsenal's last match against West Ham United, Fly failed to score for the first time this season."

"Some people said Fly was in a slump then, but what about now?"

"Look at his performance in these two matches. In the Champions League a few days ago, when playing away against Ukrainian Premier League team Shakhtar Donetsk, Fly scored two goals and provided one assist, directly contributing to three goals!"

"You know, the final score of that match was only 4-2. If it weren't for the three goals Fly created, Arsenal would have ultimately lost 1-2."

"If they had lost to Shakhtar Donetsk, whether Arsenal could qualify from their Champions League group as group winners this season would have been unknown."

"They wouldn't have been able to secure the top spot in the group with two matches to spare, allowing the remaining two Champions League group matches to be purely used for training, and Arsenal's starting players could also have their workload reduced."

"This is undoubtedly beneficial for Arsenal's Premier League title challenge this season."

"With his brace in this match, Fly's League goals this season have reached 19, and he scored these 19 goals in a total of just 10 matches!"

"19 goals in 10 matches, an average of 1.9 goals per game, truly astonishing efficiency!"
