Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: The British media went wild. It’s too arrogant!

"Fly, do you mean to say that you are now the best player in the Premier League?"

The reporter consciously started to guide Fly into a trap.

But this little trick couldn't fool Fly at all; today, he was determined to make his name widely known!

"Perhaps I'm not yet, because I'm still growing."

"But when you look back at the end of this season, you will find that the best player in the Premier League has become me, Fly Adams!"

"By then, you might find it unbelievable and surprising."

"So I'm just giving you a heads-up now, so you won't be so surprised nine months from now."

Looking at Fly's calm expression, the reporter was very curious how he could say such shameless words with a straight face!

"Fly, do you think you are better than Fabregas at this stage?"

The reporters' specialty in fanning the flames had arrived again.

Although Fly unilaterally believed he was currently stronger than Cesc Fàbregas, considering Cesc Fàbregas was his teammate, he still showed some respect:

"I'm not sure. Fabregas's excellence is beyond doubt. In my opinion, he is the best player in the Premier League after Cristiano left Manchester United."

"Including being better than Wayne Rooney?" The reporter's attempt to stir conflict never stopped.

However, towards Rooney, his future teammate in the National Football Team, Fly did not hold back and said directly:

"Of course. With all due respect, Rooney is not even qualified to be compared with Cristiano."

"The so-called Manchester United twin stars were actually just Cristiano shining alone."

"Rooney's role at Manchester United was merely Cristiano's supporting cast."

"How can a wingman-type player be compared to a team core like Fabregas?"

Seeing Fly brazenly belittle the current star of the British Empire.

The reporter was completely stunned...

No, is he that brave?

Someone playing in the Premier League belittling the star of the British Empire in front of the media?

This was indeed somewhat unimaginable!

Perhaps because the England National Team reminded him of something, the reporter quickly asked:

"Fly, how do you think England played in the European Cup qualifiers this time, and have you decided which country you will play for?"

"We all know you were born in the United Kingdom, have British nationality, and can play for England."

Fly felt this question was difficult to handle, so he threw it back directly:

"You'll have to ask the Football Association and Mr. Capello about that. At least I haven't received any news of being called up by the Football Association."

The reporter couldn't help but roll his eyes and muttered, "It's only because you were suddenly injured that the Football Association didn't call you up. Who doesn't know your little intentions!"

In fact, well-informed insiders all saw that Fly's so-called injury this time was to avoid a potential call-up from the Football Association.

After all, Fly's English surname "Adams" was clearly displayed there; they weren't blind, so how could they not associate it with some political factors.

But the Football Association's internal analysis concluded that Fly joining England to play football was not a sensitive matter.

However, the Three Lions are still very arrogant now.

They believe that the current England team is very strong and can completely win the World Cup and European Cup titles without Fly!

So the entire Football Association hierarchy is not in a hurry; they have time to wear Fly down slowly.

They believe that England can do without Fly, but Fly cannot do without the collective that is England.

The former merely loses a powerful player, but it doesn't affect the "dominance" of English football.

But the latter is forever losing the chance to win the World Cup trophy.

After all, United States football, those who know, know; no need to elaborate.

Fly had some guesses about the Football Association's arrogance, so he wouldn't act like a sycophant and approach them.

Fly would only join when the Football Association lowered their stance and invited this 'great Buddha' of himself.

For now, let's wait and see.

The reporter continued to stir up trouble based on Fly's topic, but Fly had already stopped talking.

Unless necessary, he didn't want to offend so many people at once.

As for his belittling of Rooney, there was a reason for that.

After all, the relationship between Manchester United and Arsenal, those who know, know.

As the main players of the two clubs (as Fly saw himself), the relationship between Rooney and Fly was destined not to be friendly.

In addition, Fly had heard in his previous life how hot-tempered that little fatty Rooney was.

So, directly provoking him now, and then kicking him into submission on the field later, would make it easier to bring him in line after joining the National Football Team.

As for Lampard, Gerrard, and others, Fly currently had no conflict with them.

Arsenal also had no feud with the clubs they belonged to, so there was no need to unnecessarily draw fire upon himself.

After training that day.

As soon as Fly returned home, he found that Fleet Street was already extensively reporting on the interview he had given that morning.

It was pretty much as he had imagined; most Fleet Street media thought Fly was too arrogant and didn't know how to respect his seniors.

But a small minority believed that, based on the three League matches of the new season, Fly was indeed the best-performing player in the Premier League.

He was just stating an objective fact!

However, even this small minority thought Fly was too conceited!

Because Fly had directly said in the interview that if you looked back nine months later, you would find that he was the strongest player in the Premier League this season.

Almost everyone unanimously agreed that such a thing was impossible.

This was completely Fly's unrealistic fantasy!

As for the disdain in his words towards Rooney, it even drew criticism from a number of England legends.

Gary Lineker wrote on his personal blog: "Undeniably, Fly is a super talent, but he still has a lot of areas where he needs to improve."

"Right now, he should remain humble and work hard to improve his skills, rather than recklessly evaluating world-class stars who are already famous."

Before Manchester United's fourth match, when Sir Alex Ferguson was interviewed by reporters, he just chuckled at this:

"This child is spoiled because he was born into an extremely privileged family and has been accustomed to flattery and praise from those around him since he was a child."

"In his worldview, he is the center of the world, and everyone and everything must revolve around him."

"But I want to say, this is the Premier League, this is the world of football, and no one will show mercy because of his status."

"Believe me, this child will be taught how to respect others in the upcoming matches."
