Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Ferguson, who is under pressure, starts recruiting new players for Arsenal!

Starting from August 21st when Arsenal brutally defeated Blackpool 9-0.

Until August 24th when Manchester City easily defeated Liverpool 3-0 at home.

The second round of the entire Premier League officially concluded.

In the second round, defending champions Chelsea once again thrashed Wigan Athletic with a score of 6-0.

Drogba, who had just scored a hat-trick in the previous match, delivered an assist hat-trick in this game.

With two consecutive "hat-tricks", Drogba's form was undeniably red-hot!

Meanwhile, Manchester United was held to a 2-2 draw by Fulham at their home ground.

Nani missed a crucial penalty in the 87th minute, and just two minutes later, Manchester United conceded a goal to Fulham player Hangeland, who redeemed himself to snatch a dramatic equalizer.

The red-nosed Scottish Old Man on the sideline was so angry at Nani's terrible performance that he almost cursed!

Even though Nani had just caused Hangeland's own goal before missing the penalty, it couldn't hide his major mistake of missing the penalty and causing the team to be dramatically equalized.

After the match, the red-nosed Old Man did not comment much on the penalty in the post-match press conference.

Because he knew very well that some matters could be handled internally within the locker room.

He wouldn't publicly criticize a player's mistake in front of the media; Sir Alex Ferguson wasn't like the manager of the Rattan Armor Army, Erik ten Hag, he couldn't do such a thing.

But putting pressure on competitors was a compulsory course for the Scottish Old Man every season.

Since Manchester United's two biggest competitors, Chelsea and Arsenal, both achieved two resounding victories in the first two matches of the season, the red-nosed Old Man naturally wouldn't miss the chance to pressure his opponents:

"Carlo (Ancelotti) did well last season, winning the first Premier League title of his coaching career, and I congratulate him on that."

"Chelsea has had an excellent start this season, with two 6-0 victories, seemingly embarking on the correct path to defending their title."

"But here, as the only person in the Premier League era to have achieved three consecutive League titles, I would like to offer him some advice."

"That is, his predecessor at Chelsea, José (José Mourinho), achieved the feat of defending the League title in his first two years at Chelsea."

"But in the end, after only losing the League title once, he was ruthlessly swept out by Roman Abramovich."

"In my opinion, Carlo's biggest obstacle to defending the League title is not the other title contenders, but his owner, Mr. Roman Abramovich."

"As everyone knows, the trophy Mr. Roman Abramovich has always craved is the Champions League, not the Premier League."

"But in last season's Champions League, Chelsea was eliminated in the Round of 16 by Inter Milan, led by José."

"A Champions League Round of 16 finish is definitely not something Mr. Roman Abramovich would be satisfied with."

"Especially being eliminated by a team led by José, a former Chelsea manager, a wealthy man like Roman Abramovich would find it even more intolerable."

"Therefore, I still have great doubts about whether Carlo can defend the Premier League title this season."

"Because Carlo is ultimately just a coach; he can solve things on the pitch, but he can't solve things off the pitch."

"Especially when the matter off the pitch involves Chelsea's owner, then he is even more helpless..."

After giving Carlo and Roman Abramovich some trouble, the red-nosed Old Man began to evaluate his old rival:

"As for Arsène, I know him too well; stubborn, boastful, and unrealistic are the typical labels attached to him."

"Anyone with eyes can see that the current Arsenal does not have the strength to contend for the title."

"Perhaps they can play at a championship level and achieve championship results for a period."

"But if you stretch that time to a full season, no, even just half a season, their thin squad and bench will make all their previous efforts go to waste!"

"From the perspective of the squad on paper, Arsenal's threat to Manchester United is far less than Chelsea's."

"At least the latter truly possesses a large number of quality players and a sufficiently deep bench."

"As for Arsenal's young players, I can only say sorry, perhaps they are excellent, but at this stage, they cannot make up for Arsenal's shortcomings in terms of squad and bench depth."

Fly learned about Sir Alex Ferguson's evaluation the day after the Manchester United match.

One has to say, Sir Alex Ferguson is indeed the undisputed absolute overlord of the Premier League era!

His off-field skills are truly not to be underestimated!

Just look at the way he spoke in this evaluation, from start to finish, it was full of a sense of "looking down from above".

But with this condescending commentary posture, you couldn't even say he was wrong.

Who made the other party win most of the League titles since the Premier League era began?

Disagree? Then just hold it in!

Of course, Fly wouldn't just let it go; he wasn't the kind of coward who would lower his head and play dead when someone dissed him.

As a transmigrator with a cheat and also the son of a super-rich man.

Fly had never known what it meant to be low-key since childhood, and he didn't want to be low-key.

Even though his status in football now was in no way comparable to Sir Alex Ferguson, the Godfather of the Red Devils!

But he wouldn't concede just like that.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson said Arsenal's squad wasn't good enough and the bench was too thin.

Then buy players!!!

As long as you throw money at it, what player can't you buy?

Thinking of it, Fly didn't hesitate and directly called his own BOSS.

"BOSS, which positions are we still lacking at Arsenal? Why don't you tell me, we can make signings!"

Heaven knows how shocked Arsène Wenger on the other end of the phone was when he heard Fly calling him to talk about signings!

Heaven help me, after so long, someone has finally come to ask me, Arsène, about the squad!

Although the person asking was just a young player who had just been promoted from the youth team to the first team.

But Arsène Wenger knew that this player, who should theoretically belong to the "worker" class.

Could play a crucial role in the club's transfers and signings.

Because he had a father who was a major shareholder in Arsenal.

Although his words might not mean anything, his father could decide everything.

In other words, as long as what he said was effective with Dad Li, it would be effective at Arsenal.

As for whether Fly's words could have an effect with Dad Li.

Arsène Wenger had no doubts about this.

Because as far as he knew, Fly was Dad Li's only son.

Just based on that relationship, it had to be effective!

Arsène Wenger didn't hesitate and immediately named the players he wanted.

"Hazard, Varane, Griezmann, Blaise Matuidi..."

Hearing these names that would become famous in the future, Fly couldn't help but exclaim:

"As expected of Arsène Wenger's near misses, these are all future world-class players!"

Although Fly wasn't entirely sure where these few names Arsène Wenger listed were playing now.

But he knew that these people would all become world-class players in their respective positions in the future!
