Chapter 111 - Chapter 113 Gift

Chapter 113 Gift

  Tamayo carefully processed the blood.

"Mr. Aoki, the blood you had me study before yielded no results."

  "Never mind!"

  Aoki shook his head.

Although a little disappointed, he could accept it.

He was already close to the limits of a demon and had overcome sunlight; even if he discovered some secrets, it wouldn't help him much.

"By the way, Miss Tamayo, I'm going to make a move against Muzan Kibutsuji."

  Crack!

The beaker in Tamayo's hand fell to the ground and shattered, but she didn't notice. Turning her head, she stared blankly at Aoki.

"Mr. Aoki, what did you say?"

Aoki looked at Miss Tamayo's beautiful face and earnestly repeated his words: "I'm going to make a move against Muzan Kibutsuji!"

Tamayo remained silent for a long time, her emotions finally calming down.

  "Are you confident?"

  "Yes!"

This time, Aoki didn't hide his confidence: "As long as Muzan Kibutsuji shows up, he's doomed!"

Tamayo took a deep breath: "When do we make our move?"

  "Not sure yet,"

Aoki said. "I plan to use the Blue Spider Lily to lure Muzan Kibutsuji out, but to get him hooked, we need to make some preparations."

Tamayo asked, "Do you need my help?"

Aoki shook his head: "No, the Demon Slayer Corps will handle this. They have more convenient access and much greater influence in society than we do."

"You're right, it's more appropriate for them to handle this."

Tamayo felt her heart begin to race again.

The people and demons who resisted Muzan Kibutsuji had united—wasn't this the scene she had always dreamed of?   Could they ultimately defeat Muzan Kibutsuji?

Aoki said, "However, there is indeed something I need Tamayo's help with. The complex poison I showed you before was made by two doctors from the Demon Slayer Corps. I would like to ask Tamayo to cooperate with them to see if there's any possibility of further improving the poison."

"No problem!" Tamayo replied without hesitation.

She was willing to take any risk to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji.

Besides, since it was Mr. Aoki who introduced them, she believed there wouldn't be any danger.

Aoki nodded and added, "Finally, there's one more small matter."

He briefly explained Kagaya Ubuyashiki's condition.

Tamayo's expression turned reminiscent: "I heard Mr. Yoriichi Tsugikuni mention this matter years ago, but it doesn't seem to be a simple illness. Even if I go to see him, I'm afraid there won't be much of a good outcome."

Aoki said, "Just do your best. It would be best if you could extend his lifespan a little, but it's okay if you can't help." Tamayo nodded

gently: "In that case, there's no problem!" Knock knock knock.

Just then, there was a knock on the door, followed by Yushiro's voice.

  "Lady Tamayo!"

Aoki and Tamayo smiled at each other.

  ...

Aoki and Tamayo sat by the window, drinking and admiring the bright moon and starry sky. Their conversation, however, had nothing to do with elegance; it was almost entirely about fighting and killing.

Tamayo, holding a wine glass in one hand and leaning against the window with the other, said, "Of the seven Upper Moons, six are already dead. When Muzan Kibutsuji turned Aoki into a demon, he certainly didn't expect to create such a terrifying enemy for himself!"

"I hope they can achieve their happy ending," Aoki said.

Killing Kokushigami should be enough to level up.

A faint smile appeared on Tamayo's face, then her eyes suddenly lit up, and her voice carried a hint of excitement: "It's almost dawn!"

  Aoki turned to look.

Tamayo's hair was down, making her look less dignified and more youthful and energetic.

Although she had lived for hundreds of years, her appearance remained that of a nineteen-year-old.      "What's wrong?" Tamayo looked at him questioningly.

Aoki asked, "I remember Miss Tamayo saying she really likes the time at dawn."

Tamayo tossed a few strands of her long hair aside. "It's not entirely about liking it. I yearn for the light, yet I fear the sunlight. Dawn makes me feel closer to the light."

Aoki raised the hand, and suddenly a large black hat appeared in his hand.

  Tamayo looked at it curiously.

She remembered this hat; Mr. Aoki used to always carry it with him. One time he came, it suddenly disappeared, and she thought he had lost it or put it somewhere else.

She didn't expect him to still be carrying it.

But where had he kept such a big thing before?

"Here!" Aoki handed the sun hat to Miss Tamayo.

Miss Tamayo took it, but looked blank.

  "Try it on,"

  Aoki said.

Tamayo looked it over and quickly put it on.

Anyway, whatever Mr. Aoki's purpose was, he would definitely find out soon enough.

After putting it on, she found that the hat was very well made. Although it looked large, it was comfortable to wear, even more so than normal hats.   "Come!"

Aoki led Ms. Tamayo to the door and had her stand there.

Tamayo did as she was told, looking at him with a puzzled expression.

  "And then?"

Aoki smiled, said nothing, grabbed the doorknob, and yanked the door open.

Golden sunlight instantly filled the room.

Tamayo didn't move, still looking at Aoki. After two seconds, she reacted, slowly turning her head to look outside. A strong look of shock appeared on her beautiful face under the hat.

  Aoki admired Ms. Tamayo.

This was the first time he had seen someone else, or rather, another demon, wearing a sun hat.

Apart from being slightly too large, it looked no different from an ordinary hat. Through the black veil, Ms. Tamayo's beautiful face was faintly visible.

"Ms. Tamayo, how does it feel to stand in the sunlight again?"

  Aoki asked.

Tamayo sighed, "It feels like a dream. I never imagined I could stand safely in the sunlight one day. Mr. Aomura Kazuhiko, what is this hat?"

"It's a magical item I obtained, called the Sunshade Hat,"

Aoki said. "Wearing it will protect demons from the sun."

  "Incredible."

Tamayo quietly felt it for a while, then retreated into the shadows, closed the door, took off the hat, and returned it to Aoki.

"Walking in the sunlight with a demon's body is truly a wondrous feeling."

  Aoki didn't take it.

  "This is for Miss Tamayo!"

He had already overcome the sunlight; the sunshade hat was useless to him.

Keeping it would just leave it gathering dust in the alternate dimension.

Tamayo shook her head, "No! I can't accept something so precious!"

Aoki said, "I already have something better!"

"Something better?" Tamayo was taken aback. Could there be a second magical item like this?

Then she remembered Mr. Aomura Kazuhiko's gourd that could turn ordinary sake into sake that demons could taste.

Aoki nodded. "Please accept it, Ms. Tamayo. I wasn't being polite when I had you do all sorts of research.

Besides, there will be many more things I'll need to trouble you with in the future." Tamayo pursed her lips and chuckled, "Alright, then I won't be polite."
