Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Lower

  Aoki did the math.

Today, excluding the Hand Demon, a total of 17 demons attacked him, giving him 90 experience points.

"The rewards dropped so quickly. Looks like there's no need to specifically hunt these weak demons anymore."

  [Ding!]

["Wisteria Mountain Dungeon" complete, rewards issued.]

  [Congratulations on leveling up!]

  "It's still a quest reward!"

Aoki exclaimed, pondering for a moment. Following his previous plan, he added his two free attribute points to Intelligence and Agility respectively.

A cool breeze passed through his body, and Aoki felt a surge of energy. His thinking speed subtly increased, and his swollen muscles regained their shape.

The skill points were straightforward; he added them directly to "Demon Blood," receiving another "All Attributes +1" notification.

Aoki was about to check the system changes when he suddenly froze.

An unprecedented feeling surged through him, as if he had been freed from heavy shackles. Every cell cheered, every drop of blood shouted.

  Ease! Freedom! Exhilaration!

  Like rebirth!

Aoki had a sudden realization: "Has the curse that Muzan Kibutsuji planted in my body disappeared?"

When Muzan Kibutsuji created demons, he left a curse in their blood. Any demon who uttered his name would be killed by the curse.

Furthermore, he could control the blood he gave to demons, sealing their regenerative abilities, allowing him to kill any demon with ease.

In short, once someone became a demon, they could never defy Muzan.

Currently, the only exceptions were Tamayo and Yushiro.

Tamayo, through her superior medical skills, conducted numerous experiments on herself, breaking free from Muzan's control. Yushiro, on the other hand, was the only demon not created by Muzan and thus unaffected by the curse.

This, too, remained a thorn in Aoki's side.

Becoming a White Walkers didn't free him from Muzan's control; his life and death remained entirely in Muzan's hands.

Escaping Muzan's control was more important to him than any number of attributes.

  "No, it's not just that!"

Aoki carefully sensed the changes within himself, gradually realizing the truth.

It wasn't simply about escaping Muzan; it was about completely controlling his bloodline and severing all ties with Muzan.

"I was thinking of asking Tamayo for help, but this hidden danger has been eliminated just like that. System, you never disappoint!"

Aoki exclaimed, looking at the system panel.

  [Name: Aoki]

  [Strength: 13]

  [Constitution: 11]

  [Intelligence: 12]

  [Agility: 11]

  [Class: Hunter, White Walkers]

  ...

  [White Walkers]

  Quality: ★★

  Level: lv4 (118/400)

Skills: Demon Blood III, Space Travel (Not yet learned), Transparent World (Not yet learned), Devouring Demons

. He had completely overcome his weak beginner phase.

Aoki subconsciously tried to learn the skills.

  Transparent World.

[Sorry, the prerequisite skill level is insufficient.] [

  Space Travel.

  ] [Sorry, insufficient skill points.]

  "Still can't learn... Hmm?"

Aoki suddenly snapped back to reality: "Space Travel, can I learn it now?"

He tried again, but the system still prompted "Insufficient skill points."

"Are the requirements for Space Travel lower than for the Transparent World? But thinking about it carefully, it makes sense, after all, the Transparent World is much more difficult than Blood Demon Art here."

Aoki nodded secretly and began to study it carefully.

Soon, he discovered some bad news.

The requirements for learning and upgrading skills had increased!

Learning "Space Travel" required 2 skill points, and upgrading "Demon Blood" required 3 skill points.

"It seems that the phase of rapidly becoming stronger is over!"

  Aoki pondered.

The most important reason why his four-dimensional attributes could increase so much in a short time was the boost brought by "Demon Blood."

If he learned "Space Travel" first, he would need to reach level 9 before he could upgrade "Demon Blood" again.

  Aoki dismissed these complicated thoughts.

This trip to Fujikasane Mountain had come to a successful end, with more gains than he had imagined.

  Now,

  it was time to leave.

This was not a place to linger.

Aoki flew down the mountain without looking back.

  Meanwhile,

on the bustling streets of Asakusa,

a black-haired youth dressed in exquisite clothes, his face as pale as paper, was slowly walking among the crowd.

The people around him were laughing and joking, completely unaware that a man-eating demon was lurking beside them.

Suddenly, Muzan Kibutsuji stopped in his tracks, instinctively turning his head, his gaze seemingly piercing through layers of space to reach the distant Fujikasane Mountain.

After a moment, his eyes turned angry, with a hint of disbelief.

"What happened? How did he do that??"

Just now, he felt a certain connection suddenly break, and after sensing it, he discovered that the demon he had created not long ago had broken free of his control.

"What secrets did that human hold? I should have investigated more thoroughly!"

  Muzan Kibutsuji's eyes were icy.

He hated change, especially this kind of change that was completely unexpected.

However, amidst his anger, he also felt a pang of regret.

"It's alright, as long as I bring him back! Is anyone nearby? Xingyu? No, one isn't enough, I need to go find more, I guarantee I'll bring him back!"

Muzan Kibutsuji's expression became extremely terrifying as he slowly walked towards the shadowy alley. The moment his body was enveloped in shadow, he vanished without a trace.

  ...

The moonlight was soft, and the autumn night was like still water.

Two figures, one tall and one short, walked side by side at an astonishing speed.

Fujikasane's figure approached from afar, and they stopped at the foot of the mountain.

The petite figure was a female demon with short white hair, two horns on her forehead, red and purple eyes, and symmetrical red lines on her face.

The tall figure beside her had a pair of curved horns on either side of his head, and a ferocious face, resembling a bull's head.

  "Is this the place?"

The female demon looked up at Fujikasane Mountain, her brows furrowing deeply.

  Wisteria!

  And so many wisteria flowers!

That lord had really given them a troublesome task.

  Not far away.

Two Demon Slayer Corps members in brown uniforms slowly approached.

"I just heard some noise over here."

"You must have misheard. Who would come here in the middle of the night?"

  "Maybe it's a demon?"

"Hahaha, a demon coming to Fujikasane Mountain? It smelled the wisteria flowers from several kilometers away and turned and ran."

"That's not necessarily true, what if..."

The two stopped talking abruptly, looking at the two figures at the foot of the mountain.

  "It's a demon!"

  "There really is a demon!"

The two exchanged a glance, their expressions extremely solemn.

"They don't seem to have noticed us yet."

  "Then..."

The two nodded, slowly drawing their longswords.

"Water Breathing, First Form, Water Surface Slash!"

They simultaneously sprang into action, attacking the demons.

  The two demons didn't react.

Just as the two thought they were about to succeed, they suddenly coughed up blood, flew backward, and their chests visibly caved in.

The two demons slowly turned around, their eyes filled with mockery and derision.

The two Demon Slayer Corps members felt as if they had fallen into an ice cellar.

By the moonlight, they could clearly see that words were engraved in the eyes of both demons: "Xia Lu" and "Xia Si."
