Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: Forgiven

Siya was not drawn to Trikalyagya.

There was no secret longing in her heart, no hidden desire she was refusing to acknowledge. She saw everyone the way she had been created to see them — with balance, clarity, and boundless compassion. The quiet kindness inside her, the instinct to protect and uplift every soul, was the only reason she ever worried about him.

Ali and Andy knew this. They had always known.

That was why they never stopped her from helping him.

But Trikalyagya had mistaken her compassion for attachment. He had interpreted her concern as something more — something intimate. And when Siya shattered that illusion with her sharp, unyielding words, something inside him had broken.

The shameless obsession had burned itself out.

His love for her would never disappear — he knew that. But perhaps he had finally understood that love seized by force can never become belonging. Even if you capture something against its will, it will never truly be yours.

Meanwhile, Siya sat alone in her chamber.

A strange heaviness lingered in her chest.

Did my words wound him too deeply?

I should not have been so harsh…

Her own compassion was now accusing her. Her goodness refused to let her rest in certainty.

Ali entered quietly.

"I know what you're thinking," he said softly. "You should also know… he has changed. What you once called madness and obsession — perhaps it has transformed into love."

Siya looked at him sharply.

"Do you not think he deserves one chance?" Ali continued. "It doesn't feel like he started loving you yesterday. His love feels ancient. Thousands of years old."

Siya's voice turned firm, controlled.

"How can you say such things, Ali? You know the responsibility I carry. I cannot allow myself to be distracted by emotions like love, attachment, or attraction. Those things do not exist in me anymore."

She paused.

"There is only compassion. If his intentions are pure, then anyone in his place would receive the same help from me."

Ali knew she would never accept his words fully. Still, he had tried.

Siya rose from her seat.

"Go to the main chamber. Track him. We must focus on Jate. Extract his location. I will speak to Trikalyagya and find out what he knows."

Ali nodded. He could never refuse her.

Siya walked toward Trikalyagya's chamber once more.

The air felt different — heavier, charged.

Before she could speak, Trikalyagya's voice filled the room.

"I will tell you everything. What I know. What George knew. Everything."

He stepped forward, calmer than before.

"But first… I will tell you what troubles you the most."

Siya sat down silently. "Good. Speak."

He exhaled slowly.

"Your greatest problem… became me. And you deserve to know why."

His voice lowered.

"I have known you since the day you entered this world. The moment you were born… and named Siya — a name that reflected beauty, serenity, patience, and balance — I was there."

Her eyes widened slightly.

"From your first breath, I witnessed every moment of your life. I should have seen you as a child. I should have protected you like the other devas did."

His jaw tightened.

"But as you grew… as you began understanding yourself and the world… I found myself drawn to you. I wanted to keep you close. My love kept growing."

"The devas sensed it. They warned me. They commanded me to stay away."

He looked at her directly.

"While they loved you like a daughter… I saw you as my other half."

Silence stretched between them.

"Then came the time when my heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Your closeness with Jate… the emotions you held for him… they were the same emotions I carried for you."

His voice trembled faintly — not with weakness, but with memory.

"But your happiness came first. I never wanted to be the cause of your sorrow. So I stayed hidden. Watching. Your smiles, your laughter — they were enough to keep me alive."

A shadow passed over his face.

"When Jate's true nature revealed itself… when your joy turned into darkness… when you were forced to end him yourself… and you drowned in grief…"

His fists clenched.

"I wanted to come to you. To hold you. To save you from that abyss."

He closed his eyes briefly.

"But fate mocked me. I was cast into darkness myself."

"When I sensed your energy in this realm… I created the path that brought you to me."

Siya's breath caught.

"When you touched me… the emotions I had buried for centuries ignited. My love turned into obsession. All the suppressed desires, the unspoken longings — they erupted at once."

He looked ashamed now.

"My mind became consumed with one thought — I must have you."

He bowed his head.

"I hurt you. I am deeply ashamed. But believe me — I never intended to harm you. Not even for a moment."

His voice softened.

"I hope… you can forgive me."

Siya sat frozen.

She had never sensed these unspoken feelings. Never perceived the silent devotion hidden in the shadows of centuries.

How did I not feel it?

How did my intuition miss this?

Her shock was written clearly across her face.

After a long silence, she spoke only one word.

"Forgiven."

And in that single word… something ancient shifted between them.

Not love.

Not yet.

But something quieter.

Something real.
