Chapter 110: Yukinoshita: I'm Free?

"The God of Love and Pleasure has fallen."

Yukinoshita Yukino stared at the notification from the Post Office, unable to believe her eyes. However, what shocked her even more was the so-called [Wandering Gods] protocol!

When she read the details, her first reaction was that the Post Office was terrified—and that she was finally free! According to the notice, the heavy KPI pressure and soul-crushing missions were suspended. The happiness came so suddenly that she was momentarily dazed.

"I'm not misreading this, am I?"

She re-read the message. Below the announcement were several high-priority alerts:

"The Post Office is entering Level 1 Alert status." "Messenger No. 1, Yukinoshita Yukino, is hereby notified: as of 6:00 PM today, all Post Office operations are suspended. We are moving entirely to underground status." "On the surface, all activities including proselytizing and mission execution are entering a suspension and reorganization phase." "We reiterate: Messenger No. 1 must maintain logic and restraint. Disclosure of the Post Office's existence or information to anyone is strictly prohibited."

Yukino hadn't even seen the true face of the gods before one of them simply perished.

She could only imagine the state of chaos the world had fallen into. Seeing the Post Office's panicked behavior, she guessed that the fall of the Master of Lust was anything but simple.

Yet, even in her wildest dreams, she couldn't have imagined that a "normal" human had pinned the Master of Lust against the "Wall of Sighs"—the [Locked Space]—and let the crushing laws of a higher dimension pulverize the deity's essence.

Taking a deep breath, Yukino clicked "Confirm." Immediately, a new message arrived:

"The blessing of the [God of Courage and Strength] granted to Messenger No. 1 is now revoked."

Yukino felt a sharp sting at the base of her neck, followed by a wrenching pain as if a piece of her soul were being torn away. On the back of her neck, the symbol of a figure-eight—the mark of the God of Courage and Strength—faded and dissolved.

Under the Post Office's influence, the foreign "divine" power vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

Yukino realized that while it was technically a "blessing," losing it felt like recovering from a debilitating illness.

Hagoromo Gitsune had once warned her that these blessings were toxins; Yukino remembered feeling like a mindless beast, driven by nothing but a raw desire to slaughter.

However, the loss of the blessing didn't strip her of everything.

"Emergency cosmetic camouflage is now being applied to the [Hagoromo Gitsune] template used by Messenger No. 1."

This was the critical part.

Yukino's Hagoromo Gitsune form had been directly exposed to that "God of Death" (Hachiman).

To prevent recognition, the Post Office made a decisive move: they fundamentally altered the visual and energy signature of the technique.

The cursed energy of the "Fox" had originally been as pure and white as moonlight. Now, that flawless white turned pitch-black.

Seeing the Post Office act with such extreme caution, Yukino really wanted to ask: 'Who on earth are you so afraid of?'

Regardless, this solved her biggest worry. Because Hagoromo Gitsune had committed numerous "crimes" using her body, Yukino had recently discovered she was in the Top 10 of the Jujutsu Association's most-wanted list.

She hadn't dared use her powers for fear that the residual cursed energy traces would lead back to the Yukinoshita family.

Now, the Post Office had changed the "skin," the energy signature, and the execution effect of the technique.

"This feels... strange," Yukino muttered.

The transformation made her look like a completely different fox.

"I don't even recognize myself."

Hagoromo Gitsune, inside her, also let out a massive sigh of relief. The fox spirit was close to the terrifying human (Hachiman) through Yukino's social life, and she had been constantly suppressing her energy, terrified that a single leak would trigger his killing intent. Now, with a new "mask," the danger of exposure was drastically reduced. Even if she used the technique right in front of him, he likely wouldn't recognize it.

"It seems something truly catastrophic happened," Yukino mused.

She had no concept of what a god's death meant in a literal sense, but the Post Office's total retreat spoke volumes.

The Master of Lust's fall had forced the organization to shift from an aggressive expansionist strategy to a defensive, underground existence. No more new messengers, no more descents of divine vessels.

For the Post Office, it was a disaster.

For Yukino, it was a godsend.

The other three gods behind the Post Office never expected that the Master of Lust—who had woken up early to snatch up followers—would be "spawn-killed" the moment she showed her face.

Hachiman had followed the trail back to her Divine Realm and shattered her "Evil God Dream" in person.

The Master of Lust's remains were currently being ground away in the [Locked Space], serving as a bloody warning to the other three.

Even the most bellicose among them, the [Lord of War], had promptly retreated into a deeper slumber.

He had personally revoked Yukino's blessing because he didn't want the Master of Lust's "blood" splashing on him. If Hachiman used a residual blessing as a coordinate to teleport into his realm, the Lord of War knew he'd lose more than just a layer of skin.

The Four Evil Gods were roughly equal in power; there was no absolute hierarchy, only a balance. The Master of Lust's fate was the price of her arrogance. If they didn't behave, they were next: first the realm gets smashed, then the deity gets ground against the void.

Hachiman had truly made the gods fear him.

The [Wandering Gods] plan was a contingency created a thousand years ago when the Four Saints Cult was first dismantled by the sorcerers of that era.

Led by the God of Wisdom and Strategy, the plan was designed for the survival of the deities and their factions.

The trigger for the plan? The death of any one of the Four Saints.

Phase One: "Be humble and beg for mercy."

All proselytizing, recruitment, and missions were stopped. The Post Office was to fade from public consciousness entirely. It was a plan for flight—to eventually abandon Earth's faith and seek a new civilization in the cosmos.

But searching for a human-like civilization in the vast universe was a pipe dream born of desperation. For now, the "cautious" gods were simply huddling in the dark, hoping to outlive the current nightmare.

While the Post Office went on a diet, Yukino found her life returning to peace.

The undercurrents that had been rising were slammed down by Hachiman's hand, and the follow-up waves never came.

In a quiet cave, Hachiman sat cross-legged, recovering his drained psychic and cursed energy. Killing a god was exhausting work. Returning from the "Wall of Sighs" had been relatively simple since his intrusion was primarily one of "Will." He had simply cut the connection and returned to reality.

Even for a monster like Hachiman, with his oceanic reservoir of cursed energy, such a high-intensity bombardment had pushed him to the limit. In his hand, he held a crystalline, pink, pebble-sized stone—his greatest trophy of the night. It was the essence of the Master of Lust, packed with Faith Energy.

His "execution of justice" would be a slap across the faces of the remaining three gods.

He looked up at the sky and shook his head. He could sense the remaining three deities' fear through the shifting clouds and the state of the atmosphere.

"They're behaving now, asking for mercy," Hachiman noted. The message from the heavens was clear: We'll stay on our side if you stay on yours.

Hachiman snorted. They were dreaming.

He intended to visit them one by one to "deliver some warmth."

"Are you okay, Hachiman?"

Gojo Satoru arrived quickly, having tracked Hachiman's fluctuating energy. He had sensed the terrifying spike in power earlier—a surge so strong even he had been awestruck. That had been the atmospheric anomaly caused by a deity's death.

"How is the situation?" Hachiman asked, his detection techniques currently offline due to low energy.

"The black sorcerer (Miguel) and the one who was possessed (Larue) are both alive," Gojo replied. He hadn't let them go; he had taken them back into custody.

"I see."

Hachiman wasn't surprised that Larue was alive. He had specifically used blades of Faith Energy to strike Casios; while lethal to high-level daemons and warp-entities, such power was relatively harmless to the human host.
