Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: New Traits

The Next Day.

Wade, who had spent a restless night fending off one clingy Psychic-type, was finally deep in a heavy, satisfied sleep when a soft sound pricked at his awareness.

Half-lost in dreams, he sensed a pink figure tiptoeing into the room. The door clicked shut with feather-light care.

Barefoot, the milk cow girl crept onto the bed. Her slender hands clutched nervously at the hem of her light pink skirt, wrinkling the delicate fabric, which did nothing to hide the two heavy, peach-ripe mounds straining against it.

"Master~" she whispered, her voice a blend of need and shyness. "I feel… even fuller this morning…"

Holding her breath, she carefully slipped under the covers beside him. A strand of her pink hair brushed his nose, carrying with it the sweet, clean scent of fresh milk. Her expression was one of genuine, troubled discomfort as her soft, warm body instinctively sought his, pressing close for relief.

The first rays of morning sun spilled through the window, painting a delicate blush across her fair skin. Gently, she leaned over him, her small hands hesitantly freeing the two taut, cherry-red peaks from their confinement, offering them up.

"Mmm…"

Still mostly asleep, Wade mumbled and turned his head. Something warm and soft nudged his lips. On instinct, he parted them and accepted it.

The next second, he was drowning in a creamy, white deluge.

???

A sweet, warm torrent flooded his senses. The Trainer, his mouth suddenly full of the rich taste of milk, jolted fully awake. His eyes flew open to find the Miltank girl hovering above him, clutching her chest with a deeply flushed, overwhelmed expression.

"Ah… it's overflowing~!" she cried out with a kitten-like whimper, her body trembling as she inadvertently pinned him beneath her weight.

Seeing her genuine distress, Wade had no choice but to begin his morning's first duty: assisting the overfull, delicate creature.

"Eh?!"

Beside them, the commotion soon roused Ms. Gardevoir from her own slumber. The moment her eyes opened, her world tilted on its axis.

Her sacred, first-thing-in-the-morning ritual with her Trainer had been stolen! And by what? A… a breakfast beverage service?!

Ms. Gardevoir glared, a wave of bitter resentment washing over her as she glanced down at her own ample chest with a sigh. It was plenty generous by any normal standard, but it couldn't hope to rival the dairy-based abundance of the newcomer. To replicate that particular act, she'd need the intervention of the dream goddess Cresselia herself.

"So unfair~" she pouted.

But a veteran of subtle feminine warfare never concedes easily. Silently, she slithered to the other side of the bed.

Fine.

If I can't compete there… I can at least provide a morning… snack.

Just as Ms. Gardevoir had successfully peeled away the last barrier between her and her goal and began to lean in…

The milk cow girl, still clinging desperately to the Trainer for stability, shifted her weight.

Her hips sank down.

???

!!!

Wade's and Gardevoir's eyes widened in unison.

[Interaction with Farm Pokémon: Miltank +1]

[Note: Excessive interaction frequency with a single target reduces trait drop rate and quality.]

"Well, that escalated quickly," Wade muttered to himself, listening to the system's timely, utterly deadpan chime. From zero to… this in under a day? If poor Lopunny, who was still nervously working up to her first kiss, found out, she'd probably sob herself into a puddle on the bathroom floor.

Yet, unlike the deliberately provocative Gardevoir, the Miltank was pure, innocent instinct. Her current position was half due to her body's clumsy, subconscious seeking of comfort, and half due to Gardevoir's… strategic positioning.

"M-Ma…ster," the milk cow girl stammered, her pretty face aflame, her slender neck arching back. A charming, helpless tremor ran through her. "My body suddenly feels… mmm!"

Even in her innocence, she understood something fundamental had changed. The sensation of being gently, irrevocably breached, and the faint, telling bloom of crimson on the sheets—it was a hundred times more overwhelming than the simple relief of moments before.

"Alright, alright. I'll take care of it," Wade sighed, looking at the trembling girl in his arms. And so, his morning of diligent, unexpected labor truly began.

[Ding—Trait drop detected. Claim?]

Claim.

As he gently stroked the hair of the now-drowsing Miltank, Wade gave the mental command.

[Obtained: Wellspring (Purple) x1]

[Obtained: Wellspring (Blue) x5]

[Obtained: Wellspring (White) x8]

[Wellspring (White/Blue/Purple): Enhances the holder's "vital essence," increasing its quantity and potency by 10%/15%/20%. If equipped to a Pokémon, increases the power of all healing and restorative moves by the same amount. ]

Perhaps because it was their first, foundational exchange, the system was exceedingly generous. Fourteen traits in one go—a bountiful morning harvest, in more ways than one.

Seeing the trait's description specifically reference "vital essence," Wade understood its implications perfectly. Once equipped, his stamina and… staying power would reach new heights.

The temptation was palpable. Yet, the farm's Level 1 status imposed a hard limit: only two trait slots. They were currently occupied by the invaluable [Healing Body] and [Psychic Boost].

"Another time," he decided with a hint of reluctance, stashing the new Wellspring traits away in the system's inventory for future use. A farmer knew the value of patience and proper timing.

Feeling a sense of productive satisfaction, he dressed, ensured the drowsy Miltank girl was comfortably settled, and then gathered his other partners to begin the day's work.

Early autumn in Sinnoh meant the sun rose clear and bright over the distant peak of Mt. Coronet, bathing Hiyori Town Farm in crisp, golden light. First on the agenda: tending to the thirsty, expectant crops.

"Chu-ru-ru-ru~!"

Lopunny volunteered eagerly, her form a blur of graceful motion as she fetched buckets of clear river water. She moved carefully among the newly seeded mushroom beds, bending to sprinkle the life-giving liquid with gentle precision. Out in the fields, she—like Gardevoir—typically remained in her natural Pokémon form. The alluring "Pokémon Girl" state was a special, intimate privilege reserved solely for their Trainer.

"Sha~"

On the opposite side of the farm, Gardevoir glided silently over the furrowed earth of the Leppa Berry Grain field, her keen eyes inspecting the soil. The previous night's rain had worked its magic; countless tiny, vibrant green shoots had pushed through the dark earth, reaching for the sun.

"Gardevoir, the fertilizer is yours," Wade directed, handing her several bags of the nutrient-rich blend.

"Sha." With a graceful nod, the Psychic-type accepted the task. In a shimmer of pink light, she Teleported in rapid, precise flashes across the field, the fertilizer dispersing in perfectly even clouds from her psychic grasp. When not consumed by her more… singular obsessions, she was a model of elegant, flawless efficiency.

Watching his two primary partners work with such focused diligence, Wade felt a swell of pride. With the immediate tasks delegated, he turned his steps toward the eastern pasture.

Beyond crops, the herd required his daily attention.

"Moo~"

A chorus of soft, welcoming calls greeted him as he approached. The docile Miltank lifted their heads from the lush grass, their large, gentle eyes fixed on him. Externally, they resembled high-quality dairy cattle from his old world, though the species was exclusively female. The quality of their Moomoo Milk was intimately tied to their environment and well-being. A life spent grazing on rich, pristine pasture like this naturally yielded milk that was sweeter, richer, and more fragrant. Even the taste shifted subtly with the seasons, and milk collected during peak lactation was exceptionally nutrient-dense.

As he observed the contented herd basking in the morning sun, a novel, experimental thought struck Wade.

What would happen… if I equipped those Wellspring traits to one of them?
