Victor's eyes lowered slightly, and his mind involuntarily recalled the image of Isabella curled up in bed this morning, half asleep, her lashes damp, her lips swollen, her entire body wrapped in his shirt like a fragile little animal.
For the first time in a long time, Victor's gaze softened, almost imperceptibly.
After a moment, he finally spoke. "What do men usually give women… that looks expensive?"
Steven Han blinked.
Then he nearly burst into laughter.
President Steele… was seriously asking him this?
Steven Han coughed, forcing himself to look professional.
"Jewelry," he answered immediately. "Diamonds. Bracelets. Necklaces. Rings. The more recognizable the brand, the better."
Victor narrowed his eyes. "And if it's not a wife, but a girlfriend?"
Steven Han replied without hesitation. "Then it's even simpler. Jewelry, bags, limited editions, custom-made dresses… As long as it's expensive, rare, and makes other women jealous, it counts."
