Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: The Genius Cultivation Plan

Chapter 90: The Genius Cultivation Plan

"This won't do!"

"This one's no good either!"

Inside Liumu's house, he and Haku were poring over the forbidden jutsu scroll they had copied earlier, scrutinizing technique after technique.

In the original story, Shisui's signature abilities were the Body Flicker Technique and his genjutsu prowess.

Genjutsu was out of Liumu's hands—it was Shisui's innate talent. Besides, his own genjutsu, tied to the Sky Fox's Eyes, wasn't teachable. He certainly wasn't about to gouge out his own eyes and give them to Shisui. While eye-swapping was a common practice in the shinobi world, for Liumu… not a chance.

Too painful!

But teaching ninjutsu…

Liumu flipped to the section on the Body Flicker Technique he'd copied and shot a sly grin at Haku beside him.

"Alright, please come in."

Within the Uchiha district, Liumu and Haku presented the credentials Fugaku had prepared to the patrolling guards. Once cleared, they headed straight for Shisui's home.

Fugaku was already waiting inside. As they entered, Liumu introduced himself. "My name is Liumu. This is Haku."

"I know. Uncle Fugaku told me just now." Shisui stood obediently beside Fugaku, nodding politely. "Hello, Uncle Liumu. Hello, Sister Haku. My name is—"

Uncle?

Hold on.

Uncle?

Where did 'Uncle' come from?

Liumu's ears perked up. He leaned in, expression serious. "What did you just say?"

"I said—"

"Stop right there!" Liumu cut him off before the dreaded word could be uttered again. He crouched down to Shisui's eye level. "Look at Uncle Fugaku next to you. He's so old, so you call him uncle. I'm so young! Why call me uncle too?"

Fugaku: "..."

Ignoring Fugaku's bewildered stare, Liumu pressed on. "Look clearly, you good boy. Whenever you see an elder like me, you should call me 'Big Brother'! Remember, you have to call me 'Big Brother' too!"

Seeing Shisui being backed into a corner step by step, a faint floral scent drifted by. Haku instantly scooped Shisui up, sheltering him. "Look at you, you scared him!" she chided Liumu.

Liumu: "..."

"Try not to come here in broad daylight in the future. If others see you, it won't be good for you." After a glance at Haku playing with Shisui, Fugaku warned Liumu in a low voice.

"Bad for me? Who? The Third? Or Danzō?" Liumu took a bite of watermelon, utterly nonchalant.

"Perhaps both." Fugaku held his own slice of watermelon, making no move to eat it.

"You think I'm afraid of them?" Liumu shot Fugaku a sidelong glance, not bothering to explain further. "Just leave this matter to me. I'll handle the consequences myself. Right now, I'm very interested in his future. I stayed up all night last night planning."

"Nonsense. You were snoring last night!" Haku's voice chimed in from behind, instantly puncturing his claim.

Liumu: "..."

"Tsk… how did you… ah…!" Liumu was speechless.

Fugaku looked blankly from Liumu to Haku, then chuckled. His expression grew serious again. "Did you think of something?"

"Hmph!" Liumu smirked. "Since he's going to learn from me from now on, I'm going to make him a genius." Liumu's talent cultivation plan was already fully formed in his mind. Shisui's talent wasn't bad, but that would have to wait until he awakened his Sharingan. Before that, Liumu had already prepared a whole set of Body Flicker-related ninjutsu from the forbidden scroll for him.

Three years. Just three years. Liumu could almost guarantee that Shisui in three years would be famous throughout Konoha, even the entire shinobi world.

Seeing Liumu's expression, Fugaku was momentarily at a loss. But geniuses were eccentric. If everyone were the same, there'd be no distinction in talent.

From that day on, whenever Liumu had free time, he and Haku would visit Shisui's home for simple lessons. Liumu wasn't a great teacher, but fortunately, Haku was a genius with foundational knowledge. Whether it was sensing chakra or basic theory, with Haku's perfect assistance, they could explain everything clearly to Shisui.

Tensions between the major villages grew. Minato's Team 7 also took on more missions as time passed.

One day, after returning from a mission with Team 7, Liumu suddenly received a secret letter from Yahiko in the Land of Rain. The information inside was heavily encrypted. Liumu decoded the cipher and read carefully.

It stated that among the candidates Liumu had previously mentioned, one had been located. However, this person's identity was somewhat special, and their abilities were not weak. Their greatest passion in life was making money. Furthermore, investigations suggested this person seemed to possess… an immortal body. The letter was full of Yahiko's astonishment, as an immortal body should be impossible. Yet, the preliminary Akatsuki's investigation of this person's abilities almost confirmed this speculation. No wonder Liumu had included this person on the list.

Although the person's real name wasn't in the letter, the phrase "loves making money" alone confirmed their identity. As for the "immortal body," it wasn't the real deal. The true immortal technique wasn't his; his ability lay in having multiple hearts.

Yahiko hadn't yet recruited this person into the nascent Akatsuki, merely informing Liumu.

Seeing the new Akatsuki beginning to take shape according to his expectations, Liumu smiled in satisfaction. A crimson flame burst from his palm, reducing the secret letter to ashes.

Konoha, Year 48, Summer

The village was particularly somber, shrouded in a tense atmosphere. The number of patrols at the gates increased. Even the village's high towers had constant surveillance.

Within the Uchiha clan, a group of Military Police Force ninja in full combat gear stood ready, expressions solemn, killing intent palpable.

As clan head, Fugaku sat in his office, seriously assigning tasks to his four squadron captains.

Suddenly, a black shadow flashed by. After dismissing the captains, the shadow emerged and sat directly across from Fugaku.

"You're leaving?"

"Yes. I assume you've heard the news too?" Fugaku pushed a mission scroll toward the man.

"Understood. Those Iwa-nin were ruthless, using 10,000 men to exhaust the Third Raikage to death." The man—Liumu—took the scroll and scanned the mission details. "Fortunately, this mission doesn't require going that far."

That far? Fugaku gave a wry smile and shook his head slightly, then asked, "What about Shisui? How has he been lately?"

"Very good. Not as mischievous as I imagined. Haku usually teaches him. I just got back from outside the village. Haven't seen him for a few months."
