Hirune and Tundra sat on the soft grass gasping for their breath; it was nearly noon and Kopna had beat some seriously good training into them.
Ellen walked over, "Tundra, get ready soon, okay?"
Hirune and Tundra stood up and started getting ready. They both took a quick shower and Tundra put on a dress shirt and black jeans.
Hirune looked down at her dress and looked back up at him, "Is this appropriate for the place or should I wear something more fitting?"
Tundra looked at her up and down, it was the same dress as before, which made sense as she could just change her clothes appearance, and he gave her a thumbs up while he pretended to make sure, he fully buttoned up his shirt.
Hirune walked over and unbuttoned the two highest buttons, "It fits you more like this."
Eventually they reached a small bar near the coast. It wasn't too busy, just a moderate number of people were there and most of them were drunk, so it was pretty easy to find the three guys Tundra was talking about. One of them was really in shape and seemed pretty based, another was really skinny and frail, and the third was a fat chud-- I mean a friendly looking chubby guy.
Ellen was wearing a black dress skirt and a white dress shirt herself, trying to seem like a refined business lady who was ready to talk about business though she really wasn't. Between the three of them, Hirune stuck out the most, not just because she didn't make her hair fully black and decided to show up as the descendent of the witch, but because she was the only one between the three that was wearing fully black clothing, and on top of that, it was quite daring compared to what they wore.
The three gentlemen walked over and greeted Tundra asking who the two beautiful ladies were.
"Well, this here to my left is my boss Ellen, which is who I'm actually getting this information for and to my right here is my coworker Hirune, no introduction should be needed for her."
The three of them nodded and greeted them kindly before bringing them over to a free table, which only had five seats. Hirune saw this and got ready to dismiss herself but then the buff guy asked the staff if he could pull another chair over for her, which they agreed to after taking a single glance at who he was talking about. She thanked him and sat down.
Their business talk was pretty boring, which led to Ellen ordering a whole bunch of drinks and getting drunk. This dominoed onto Hirune, which although she didn't care much for Ellen, was told by Tundra to keep an eye on her, so she found herself following Ellen around and keeping her out of trouble.
Then as if they were never talking about business the three guys stopped talking and leaned forwards a little.
The buff guy spoke, "So, do you like either of them?"
The scrawny guy agreed with him and asked too.
Then the chud--AHEM! The chubby guy spoke, "If you don't, can we go after them?"
Tundra took a sip of his drink before answering, "You can try to get Ellen, but don't lay a finger on Hirune or there will be consequences."
"And who will be the punisher?" The repulsive fat-ass asked.
Tundra glared at him, "Considering how... I'm not even going to say it actually, but me."
"I might give that Ellen chick a try," the chad said. "Could you give me her number so I can try to get a date with her when she's not drunk?"
Tundra stared at him for a moment, surprised by how thoughtful he was being of Ellen and gave him her number.
The scrawny guy spoke, "Well if you don't mind, me and fatty are going to go see if either of us can win her over."
The two LARGELY different people walked off to find where Ellen had run off to. As for Tundra and the buff guy, they kept talking about business.
The titanic and stick eventually found Ellen playing pool, pretending as if she was a pro while rubbing the chalk on the tip of the pool cue. As for Hirune, she was just sitting on the edge of the table with her legs and arms crossed while looking back at Ellen. The scrawny guy respected what Tundra said and started hitting on Ellen, as for the disgusting, atrocious, continent sized bag of chips muncher, he went ahead and did the complete opposite of what Tundra said and started hitting on Hirune.
As he did, Hirune gave him a pitiful look, "Sorry but I'm not interested."
She tried to let him down easy, but he kept on bugging her, "Catch a hint and leave me alone fat-ass."
He didn't stop. So instead of getting mad, she took a deep breath, grabbed Ellen by the arm, and went back over to where Tundra was and told him about the issue.
"Did he do anything to you?"
"Nah, he would be paralyzed if he did."
Tundra nodded and apologized to the buff guy for the bother before leaving.
As they walked Hirune asked:
"So, did we get anything?"
"Aparently there's a batch at either Rico or Medio. So, it's between the city of rags to riches and riches to rags or a dystopia where everything is the same. Crazy how they're both in the same country but eh, I guess that's what spacial artifacts do to a place."
"Spacial artifacts?"
"Artifacts that affect a space. Rico is affected by the Casino artifact and Medio is affected by the Older Sibling artifact. The name for the second one is supposedly based on a film from the Origin Point before the first mass extinction here."
"I see," Hirune nodded. "So, will we go to Rico or Medio? Or will we split up? If we do can I be in the same group as you or Kopna?"
Tundra kept looking forwards before sighing, "Calls like that aren't up to me. You'd have to ask Ellen tomorrow after her hangover."
