After the afternoon work hours began, Naga was somewhat surprised to see Koga Yu.
She looked exhausted; her uniform wasn't even properly straightened. Leaning back in her chair, she appeared listless, with dark circles under her eyes. Even her light makeup couldn't hide her pale complexion from lack of rest.
"Koga-senpai, you look terrible." He brought her a cup of water in a paper cup and placed it on her desk, feigning concern, hoping to glean some information about her dream from the previous night.
"Uh... I didn't sleep well last night. Thank you." Yu took the paper cup, held it in her palm, and smiled gently at him.
"Oh? Didn't get enough rest?" Naga smiled knowingly, lowering her voice to say in a joking tone, "If you didn't sleep well, did you have some strange dreams?"
Yu's back was visibly tense, and a blush rose to her cheeks. She forced a smile and shook her head. "How could that be... I just didn't get enough rest. Really."
Watching the office lady in front of him try to maintain a calm expression, Naga suddenly had the idea to scare her, as images of her bare, slender legs and pert, round buttocks flashed through his mind. He deliberately moved closer to her and suddenly reached out and grabbed her work badge on her chest. "Huh... that's strange."
"Wh...what's wrong?" Yu pushed up her glasses, her eyes filled with panic. Her employee ID photo showed her without glasses and with noticeable makeup, which was somewhat different from her usual low-key image.
This is probably just a glimpse of the glamorous woman who accidentally revealed herself at night.
Naga sneered inwardly, took out the card, carefully placed it in front of her for a moment, then quickly took it back. "I'm surprised that there are people who look so alike. It's rare. A friend of mine met a girl at a high-class club, and she said she'd introduce me to her, so she gave me this card. She looks just like her... Her name is Alice. Could she be your long-lost sister?"
Yu's face turned deathly pale the moment she saw the business card. She reached out in surprise to snatch it, but Naga put it away before she could.
"You... how do you have that thing?" Yu carefully lowered her voice, which had risen due to surprise, to a level that wouldn't be heard by others, and asked hurriedly.
Naga smiled smugly. "What, can't someone like me have a friend with power and influence?" He hesitated for a moment, changing what he was going to say about money to a more likely suffix, "a friend with power and influence?"
Just as he predicted, that high-class club wasn't just catering to wealthy guests. You's face was almost bloodless, and her lips moved as she said, "You...you've mistaken me for someone else. That person...that person just looks a lot like me. The company...the company doesn't allow part-time jobs, you...you know that, don't you?"
"Oh, so you mistook me for someone else." Naga didn't intend to pursue the matter further, nodded, and walked back to her seat.
Peeking at You through the transparent part of the partition, she met You's gaze. Like a startled fawn, You turned her face to the computer screen in a panic, her fingers clattering haphazardly on the keyboard.
It's quite strange. Those upscale clubs must make a lot of money. Although this company's salary is quite attractive, she, a young single woman, doesn't need to be so poor as to try to earn money from both. Instead of going through all this trouble, wouldn't it be better to just seduce the wealthy single man from the company upstairs?
After a busy period, finishing the tasks assigned by Senior Shimokawa, tidying up, and rubbing his forehead, Naga got up and headed towards the personnel department. If he had a good enough reason, he really wanted to stay there and never come back to work. The five beauties in that office were more than enough for him to look at endlessly.
Unfortunately, the only person he can directly talk to right now is Shimokawa Miku. Fujibayashi Ami always seems to have a sweet smile, but she's never even greeted him; her gaze has only lingered on him briefly at most. The other two beauties, at least, introduced themselves to him.
Pushing open the door, I saw that Miku was indeed the busiest. Fujibayashi Ami was blatantly slacking off by reading a beauty magazine, Kobayashi An was staring at the computer with a troubled expression, and Miura Kotone, standing next to her, was secretly gloating. Only Department Head Kuroki was in his own world, quietly looking at the documents in his hands.
When Miku saw Naga, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief. "Ah... come here quickly. This computer is acting so unruly. I was about to smash it."
Uh... women are always surprisingly bad at using electronic products. Naga sat down in Miku's fresh-smelling seat and began to solve what was a very basic programming problem for him.
However, he could hear Miku's exclamations of "Ah, that's amazing!" and "Wow, how did you do that?" from time to time, which made him feel somewhat smug.
In the past, when female friends asked me to fix their computers, they would always go out to meet their boyfriends without hesitation. While he was busy and sweating profusely, the computer's owner was probably also sweating profusely in bed.
Hmm...she's too close, isn't she? As Naga moved her neck, her gaze went straight through the open neckline of her low-cut top.
Although it wasn't a very large area, it was enough for him to see the lace trim on Miku's bra and a beautiful shadow in the center of the trim.
"Hey...where are you looking?" Miku's voice came at the same time as the attack from the back of his head, successfully snapping him back to his senses.
Hmm, it seems a bit fuller than I expected. Naga concluded to himself, rubbing the back of his head contentedly, and continued to focus on the monotonous symbols on the screen.
It took almost an hour and a half to get that computer sorted out, which probably hadn't been properly maintained since it left the factory.
Standing at the entrance of the personnel department, Naga felt that the protest of her bladder was about to reach its limit.
This is one of the advantages of a relatively free company; if you dawdle a bit when you go to the restroom, no one will mind too much.
Naga touched his pocket, thinking that he must buy a good pack of cigarettes after he gets paid. He was almost choking to death by this cheap tobacco because he was trying to save money.
The restrooms on this floor clearly reflect the gender distribution within the building. The men's restroom is spotless, as if it's only cleaned once and doesn't need attention for a week. The wooden doors to two of the stalls have been broken for who knows how long, with only two usable stalls remaining. Presumably, the office building's cleaning staff only glance at this area when they remember to.
"Hmm?" Just as Naga finished flushing and put the hose away, she heard the click of the spring lock being fastened on outside the toilet stall. Could it be that the cleaning staff just happened to have a lapse in judgment and came to clean? But usually they just leave a "Cleaning in Progress" sign by the door, right?
He opened the door curiously and glanced outside.
Standing there with a flushed face and a flustered expression was none other than Koga Yu.
