Jay pov
It has been two weeks since the sessions started.
No one knows.
Only Ciel and Chantelle.
Keifer has been complaining lately.
"Why dont you spend time with me anymore?" he asked once.
I acted normal. I always act normal. But inside, I'm constantly thinking about where I am, what I'm doing, whether anyone suspects anything.
The doctor was late.
We were waiting in the living room. Just the three of us.
Ciel stood up suddenly. "I think someone's at the door."
Chantelle frowned. "Finally he's here?"
Ciel stood up. "I'll open the door."
Something inside me tightened.
The door opened.
A body hitting the floor.
Ciel fell.
She didn't trip.
She was pushed.
I shot up from the couch.
There were men. Masked. Dressed in black. Too many of them.
For a second, my brain refused to understand what I was seeing.
"Who are you?" Chantelle demanded, stepping forward.
One of them tilted his head slightly.
"We're here for your lives."
The words didn't even sound real.
"Who sent you?" I asked.
"It's not business. It's personal. Just pay for your lives."
For a second, I froze.
Then survival took over.
One of them grabbed Chantelle's arm.
I didn't think.
I moved.
I ran straight at him and slammed into his side with everything I had. We both crashed into the table. The vase shattered. Glass cut into my palm but I didn't stop.
He tried to grab my wrist.
I twisted out and kicked him in the knee. He stumbled.
Another one came from behind and struck my back.
Pain exploded down my spine.
I fell forward but rolled before he could pin me. My breath felt like knives in my lungs.
Get up.
I forced myself up.
He swung again.
I blocked with my forearm and drove my elbow into his ribs. He grunted. I grabbed the broken vase piece without thinking and pressed it against his neck.
"Move," I said.
My voice didn't shake.
Another man kicked my leg out from under me. The glass flew from my hand. I hit the floor hard.
Someone grabbed my hair.
I clawed at his arm and slammed my heel down onto his foot.
He cursed.
Then I saw it.
One of them had Ciel by the neck.
Lifted.
Her feet barely touching the ground.
Something inside me snapped.
I lunged at him, ignoring the pain screaming through my back. I clawed at his arm, trying to break his grip.
"Let her go!" I shouted.
He shoved me back so hard I crashed into the wall.
My vision blurred for a second.
And then—
Yuri.
He came in like a storm with a pulse.
He hit the man holding Ciel so hard the grip broke instantly. Ciel dropped, coughing.
Yuri didn't hesitate.
He attacked.
Every move was sharp. Controlled. Furious.
When the same man tried to reach for Ciel again—
Yuri lost control.
He slammed him against the wall and punched him again and again.
"Don't touch her," Yuri said quietly.
That voice scared even me.
Security rushed in seconds later.
The masked men were restrained.
Dragged out.
Silence fell.
I pushed myself off the floor, breathing heavily. My hands were shaking, but I was still standing.
Yuri was kneeling in front of Ciel now, checking her neck like she was glass.
"You're okay?" he asked softly.
She nodded.
I leaned against the wall, pain radiating through my back.
This wasn't random.
Someone sent them.
And whoever it was…
just made a very big mistake.
And just crossed a line.
