Chapter 10 - Chapter 9 – Morning Rush

Jayjay POV

A groggy voice cut through my sleep. "Jay-jay!"

I blinked a few times. Was I dreaming? Then Ciel appeared in the doorway, grinning.

"There's a girl looking for you," she said.

I swung my legs off the bed and stretched, still half-asleep. "A girl? Who?" I asked, yawning.

Chantelle stepped into view, laughing softly. "Go get dressed. We have to go."

"Where?" I asked, still confused.

"SDR," she said mysteriously, turning on her heel.

I headed to the bathroom, still processing. Twenty minutes later, I slipped on my top, quickly packed my bag, and fixed my hair. As I zipped it up, I told Ciel, "Tell the rest I'm not joining them this morning." Before Ciel could respond, I grabbed my bag and left, my heart skipping in excitement and nerves.

Kiefer POV

Morning sunlight filtered through the blinds as I groaned. "Don't enter!" I shouted, pulling the blanket over my head.

Of course, Yuri did the opposite. The door creaked open anyway. "Good morning! Up yet?"

I gritted my teeth. "I said don't enter!"

He smirked, stepping in casually. "You said that, but I'm entering. That's my thing."

I rolled my eyes. "Why do you always do the opposite of what I say?"

"Because it annoys you… and it's fun," he said, grinning. Then, without waiting for a reply, he walked over and flung open the curtains. Sunlight poured in.

I groaned again. "Perfect… you're impossible."

Yuri shrugged. "I told you."

Then he said casually, "Jay-jay said she's already waiting for you."

Instantly, my heart jumped. My wife… she's waiting! I thought. I swung my legs off the bed, a small grin forming despite myself.

I got up and headed to the bathroom, shaking my head at Yuri's mischievous grin. Twenty-five minutes later, I emerged dressed, hair fixed, sharp as ever.

Yuri, still smirking in one of Keagan's oversized shirts, said, "I dropped Keagan and Keiren at school."

I raised an eyebrow. "Keiren okay?"

Yuri smirked. "Of course. Took after you. Made me buy him 100 V-Bucks on your behalf, so you owe me."

"No problem," I said, trying not to laugh.

We went downstairs, apologized to the maid for last night's chaos, shared a brief laugh, then got into the car, ready to drive to school.
