Rakim screamed, recoiling as pain shot through his hand. Enraged, he slapped her across the face. Her lip split on impact, warm blood filling her mouth, but she didn't look away.
She glared at him with pure hatred.
She would rather die than let him touch her.
"Shit!" Rakim snarled. "You stupid bitch, you shouldn't have done that"
"I think you're the one who shouldn't have done that."
The voice cut through the warehouse like a blade.
Rakim spun around, panic flooding his face as he fumbled for his gun. A tall figure stepped forward from the shadows, his face obscured by darkness.
Before Rakim could pull the trigger, a shot rang out.
He collapsed instantly.
Blood sprayed across the concrete floor.
Lena gagged, retching violently, but only water came out as her body shook.
From the shadows, the man stepped closer.
