Tomorrow.
The Council would arrive tomorrow.
I stood in my bedroom, staring at the clothes laid out on my bed. Mom had helped me pick something appropriate. Not too casual, not too formal. Something that said "I'm taking this seriously" without looking like I was trying too hard.
I had no idea if there was even a right outfit for being judged by thousand-year-old wolves.
My phone buzzed. A text from Maxx.
*You got this. Remember, they'd be idiots not to see how real your bond is.*
I smiled despite my nerves and texted back: *Thanks. I'll try to remember that when I'm being interrogated.*
*That's the spirit. Sort of.*
Another text came through. This one from Damon.
*We're coming over tonight. One last evening before everything changes.*
*Okay. When?*
*An hour. Your parents already said yes.*
Of course they did.
I put my phone down and tried to calm my racing heart.
Tomorrow. Everything would be decided tomorrow.
