[Jashin Dropkick] (Skill): Originally the ultimate dropkick technique personally taught by the Queen of the Hell, requiring 80 years to master - capable of sinking Tokyo with a single kick. However, due to Jashin's incompetence, she failed to master it even after a thousand years, even developing a wrong version.
This skill deals moderate damage to ordinary lifeforms or buildings, making it a fairly strong kicking technique.
But when used against angels or celestial beings, it transforms into a conceptual attack, dealing massive damage while inflicting a temporary magic-sealing effect that strips the target of their abilities.
"..." Chen Luo fell silent after reading this reward given by the 2-star commission.
Was it strong? Against normal targets, it was just average.
But weak? It could annihilate angels and celestial beings, even reducing them to ordinary humans with a single kick.
This Jashin was truly ridiculous.
As expected, discussing power levels in a comedy series was utterly pointless.
But the real question was - where would Chen Luo even find celestial beings?
"Hey A'Luo, aren't you going to stop Mobius? She's trying to buy snake meat from Jashin! If she gets her hands on that divine flesh and causes a timeline collapse, who knows what she'll do with it!" The Herrscher of Sentience's voice urgently reminded Chen Luo in his mind.
"Relax, their deal won't go through," Chen Luo replied calmly.
"Can I trade you for some meat with those capsule toys? I'll definitely bring them tomorrow!" Although Mobius didn't understand what capsule toys were, Klein beside her had some idea.
"No thanks. One set of otherworldly collectibles is enough." The trash snake shook her head.
"Then I'll pay with money."
"Oh? How much yen are we talking?" Jashin suddenly became interested.
"Yen? What's that?" Mobius was confused.
"Yen is the currency used by that far eastern country. You're from different worlds - how could your currencies possibly match?" Chen Luo interjected.
The Honkai Impact 3rd world actually shared the same currency system as Chen Luo's world - at least the 10,000 yen bills he obtained passed basic authenticity checks.
But the Previous Era civilization clearly differed from the current one - their money definitely wasn't the same.
"Then I'll pay with gold." Mobius paused before making a new offer. Gold should be universally valuable.
"Gold works. Do you have a gold purchase receipt?" Jashin asked.
"A... gold purchase receipt?" Mobius froze again.
"Doctor, gold shops usually require purchase receipts to prove legitimate sourcing when buying gold. But since we're from different worlds, our receipts probably wouldn't be valid here," Klein whispered.
"Though some shops might accept it at a lower price if you're willing. High enough profits can make people overlook questionable sources. The process is just troublesome," Chen Luo unexpectedly spoke up in Mobius' defense.
"In that case, I offer one kilogram - no, two kilograms of gold for just a small piece of meat." Mobius glanced at Chen Luo before turning back to Jashin.
"Ugh, sounds like too much trouble. I'd rather just ask Medusa for money." Jashin shook her head after some thought.
Medusa was Jashin's childhood friend - wealthy and unable to refuse any of Jashin's requests, essentially a living ATM.
Actually, Jashin's family was quite rich too.
"...Then I can trade various supplies." Though Mobius didn't know who this Medusa was, it was clear this avenue had failed too.
"Nah, the owner already promised me free food and drinks here." Jashin shook her head again.
Mobius turned to glare at Chen Luo.
Chen Luo shrugged. "How was I supposed to know you wanted Jashin meat too?"
Don't blame me for this.
"By the way, our shop was always free - even you didn't pay yesterday, remember?" Chen Luo casually added.
"Wait, does that mean I got scammed?" Jashin suddenly realized.
"Of course not! Tell you what - I'll let you bring friends here for free meals too, how's that?" Chen Luo offered.
"Hmm, acceptable. You're a good guy - I like you." Jashin patted Chen Luo's shoulder approvingly.
If she brought Medusa to this magical free restaurant, her rich friend would surely be grateful - making future money requests even easier.
The [Friend of Non-Humans] effect was working miracles.
Jashin might already consider Chen Luo a friend.
Not that Chen Luo was happy about it - being Jashin's friend usually meant getting scammed harder.
But he'd forgive her since she might bring more customers.
"Oh right, this should be yours." As Chen Luo turned to see Venti, he suddenly remembered something and handed Mobius an earring.
She had dropped it yesterday while drunkenly dancing with her wine glass.
Again, drunk Mobius had terrible manners.
Mobius took the earring without thanks - retrieving it was her original purpose for visiting, but now she had a new goal.
She absolutely had to obtain that Jashin meat.
Such incredible regeneration combined with otherworldly properties...
The second Meta-Morph surgery had succeeded, proving the procedure's viability.
Mobius had planned to perform the third surgery on herself soon, but now this unexpected opportunity appeared.
If she couldn't get the meat from the Jashin, she'd have to obtain it from the shop owner instead.
He just acquired a large portion of snake meat - Mobius only needed a small sample.
Her gaze locked onto Chen Luo as he chatted with Venti.
"A'Luo, let's make a deal, okay?" Venti said.
"Just say it - we're friends, aren't we?"
"Then as friends, could you stop farming commissions off me? In a couple days I'll bring you a customer who's way easier to farm - just let me go, please?" Venti sighed.
He had actually planned to bring that person today, hence his late arrival, but while preparing to meet them, he suddenly remembered they were currently away from Mondstadt on a mission.
