Standing on the second-floor balcony, watching the sneaky blond delinquent, Chen Luo felt the frying pan in his hand itching for action.
After completing three commissions, Chen Luo clearly sensed that he had grown stronger—and most importantly, he now possessed a Vision.
In Chen Luo's view, a Herrscher Core was probably equivalent to something like a Gnosis, and while a Vision was certainly no match for a Herrscher Core, it was more than enough to deal with an ordinary person.
Chen Luo touched the Vision in his hand, feeling a gentle breeze wrap around him, making his body lighter.
Though this was his first time using a Vision, after listening to Barbatos himself sing earlier, he had gained a buff:
[Blessing of the Anemo Archon]: You are a friend blessed by the Anemo Archon. For the next half-hour, you will be able to skillfully manipulate Anemo energy.
Though the buff's duration was short, it was more than enough for now.
With the Vision's enhancement, Chen Luo lightly leaped over the one-meter-high railing and jumped down from the second floor.
Thanks to the Anemo energy's protection, he made no sound upon landing. Just like that, unnoticed, he stood right behind the blond.
Seeing that the delinquent was completely unaware, Chen Luo raised the frying pan.
Thud!
A dull sound echoed through the silent night.
The blond crumpled to the ground.
The frying pan in Chen Luo's hand was none other than Red Wolf's Frying Pan, a weapon with special properties. Combined with Chen Luo's Furniture Mastery, since a frying pan counted as furniture, his strike was perfectly measured—strong enough to knock the guy out without killing him.
"This guy was definitely here for revenge, right?" Chen Luo looked at the unconscious blond on the ground.
"Come to think of it, that big pit made by the Herrscher of Sentience might actually come in handy…" he muttered to himself.
Once the thought came, Chen Luo acted. He grabbed the guy by the collar—no need to be gentle with troublemakers—and dragged him toward the backyard.
He could even hear the sound of the guy's clothes scraping against the dirt.
Thanks to his increased strength and the surprisingly decent quality of the blond's clothes, Chen Luo didn't have much trouble hauling him all the way to the vegetable garden.
"First, I should go back home and grab a shovel, some rope, and a bucket."
With that in mind, Chen Luo headed back inside.
He had originally bought the shovel for some commission, he couldn't remember whose, but now it was proving unexpectedly useful.
What's more, thanks to Furniture Mastery, Chen Luo now had Shovel Mastery as well.
After the commission-based stat boosts and the Vision's enhancement, Chen Luo's digging speed had improved significantly. In just six minutes, he had dug a hole deep enough to bury a person standing upright.
But before tossing the blond in, Chen Luo—adhering to the principles of robbing the rich to help the poor and serving justice—decided to search his pockets first.
"Only 200 yuan? What a cheapskate!" Chen Luo scoffed at the still-unconscious delinquent. "And here I thought you were some big-shot school bully."
"Then again, everyone uses mobile payments these days, so carrying less cash makes sense."
With that thought, Chen Luo used the guy's fingerprint to unlock his phone.
Alipay
True to his reputation as a school bully, the guy had around 2,000 yuan combined in his accounts—a substantial amount for a student. After some consideration, Chen Luo transferred all of it to his own phone, using the guy's fingerprint for authentication.
He then deleted the transaction records, though he knew it was mostly pointless—payment companies kept backend logs anyway.
"No big deal. I'll just ask the Herrscher of Sentience to tweak his memories later."
After all, this money was for their shared living expenses. If not for that, Chen Luo wouldn't even bother with such petty cash. The Herrscher of Sentience ought to contribute too—especially since she was out there upholding justice herself.
*"Besides, this bastard has wrecked my 200,000-yuan bike over a dozen times already. If we're talking compensation, 2,000 yuan doesn't even begin to cover it."*
Thankfully, his parents covered the repair costs as "reasonable wear and tear", or else Chen Luo wouldn't have been able to afford fixing it himself.
As for human rights concerns…
Chen Luo had always believed that people who committed extreme acts of bullying forfeited their rights.
"Murderers kill people. Bullies kill people, crush their souls, and leave them with lifelong trauma."
In a way, Chen Luo—who had been constantly targeted by this guy's bike vandalism—was also a victim of his bullying.
"Maybe I should just give this phone to Venti…" Chen Luo mused as he examined the device.
A murderer must be prepared to be killed. Of course, not that Chen Luo planned to kill him—this wasn't that serious. He wasn't a demon, after all. Burying him overnight is enough. Once the Herrscher of Sentience tweaks his memories, he'll come out a reformed man.
But then…
"Wait, this bastard has nude photos of other people on his phone?! And they're all guys?! He's been blackmailing them?! And there are so many victims?!"
Chen Luo stumbled upon these disturbing details while browsing the guy's chat logs during the money transfer.
This discovery erased any remaining guilt Chen Luo might've had.
In fact, he kicked the guy again for good measure.
"Hmm… On second thought, maybe I should keep the phone for now. Who knows what the Herrscher of Sentience will bring back? Living in the modern world without a phone is impossible anyway."
Having made his decision, Chen Luo pocketed the phone without hesitation.
Now, it was time for the main event—burying the guy.
Step 1: Tie his hands.
Burying someone up to their neck wasn't foolproof—some people could wriggle free through sheer determination. So, binding his hands and feet was necessary. Better safe than sorry.
Step 2: Toss him into the hole standing up and fill it in.
This took Chen Luo two minutes.
To prevent death by suffocation, Chen Luo left a small breathing space around the guy's chest.
Although Chen Luo intended to beat him uo, he did not intend to kill him.
If he had wanted the guy dead, he wouldn't have bothered transferring the money first.
The chest cavity would allow breathing, and the tied limbs would prevent escape.
Evil will be punished by evil, and what Chen Luo hates most is school violence.
Step 3: Stuff a rag into his mouth and wrap it with duct tape—ten full circles.
This ensured he couldn't scream or spit out the gag.
Final Step: Place a large bucket over his head.
This would muffle any noises he made if he woke up, rendering them nearly inaudible.
The bucket was big enough that he couldn't knock it over by thrashing, and the uneven edges of the hole allowed some airflow, preventing suffocation.
"Whew, that was exhausting."
Chen Luo had spent 15 minutes meticulously burying the guy.
"But at least I got 10 Primogems out of it."
He glanced at the notification on his Talent Panel:
[You defeated Li Hao'er. Obtained: 10 Primogems.]
"So the talent considered him an enemy as soon as he showed hostile intent? Good. Though 5 Primogems is kinda low—barely more than stealing candy from a loli. What trash, shameful."
Chen Luo picked up two bricks from the garden and placed them on top of the bucket to keep it from blowing away.
"If he still manages to escape after all this, I'll treat Venti to 10 glasses of apple cider tomorrow!" Chen Luo thought as he looked at his masterpiece.
