New Jersey Base — Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR)

Lancelot and the mysterious Raven appeared outside the base. Standing before the massive facility in the distance, Lancelot waited calmly.

He didn't have to wait long.

An armored transport vehicle stopped in front of him. The White Queen, Emma Frost, stepped out gracefully, dressed in elegant attire.

"Long live my king."

Behind Emma, dozens of soldiers in camouflage uniforms lined up in formation.

They were part of the House of Mutant Evolution's Adaptive Forces—the Stealth Unit.

The camouflage patterns on their uniforms were derived from mutants with chameleon genes. Under specific conditions, these patterns could grant varying degrees of invisibility.

"Let's go. We're meeting Dr. Pym," Lancelot said, walking into the ultra-classified base together with Emma Frost and Mystique Raven, as if strolling through a private garden.

Behind them, the soldiers' camouflage patterns shimmered briefly—then their bodies turned completely transparent.

"Stop! Who are you?!"

A Level-Five agent guarding the base spotted them, instantly drawing his handgun and aiming at Lancelot.

"Emma."

Lancelot merely glanced at the agents. Behind him, Emma Frost raised a hand and pressed her fingers to her temple.

Thump. Thump.

The agents collapsed to the ground.

Lancelot didn't spare them a second glance as he walked straight into the base.

This was one of the most secure research facilities in the world. Guards were stationed every few meters, with sentries everywhere. Yet all of it was meaningless before the three of them.

Inside the base, countless scientists affiliated with the SSR were busy conducting experiments in their respective laboratories.

Underground Core Laboratory

"Damn it!"

Dr. Hank Pym was venting his fury.

Moments ago, his enthusiasm for researching Pym Particles had completely evaporated. Peggy Carter—the director of the Strategic Scientific Reserve—had ordered him to seal the Pym Particles away in a secure vault.

"Is Peggy Carter insane?!" Pym roared, knocking over an experimental table.

"This is the key to opening the Quantum Realm!"

Hatred toward Peggy Carter and the SSR burned in his chest.

"Mary… damn it…"

As he cursed, a sudden thought struck him.

Why don't I just leave?

Find somewhere else and continue my research?

Dr. Pym's pupils shrank. The moment the idea formed, he began acting on it—manufacturing Pym Particles nonstop.

What he didn't notice was that three people were already in his lab, casually browsing through his research data.

"The Pym Particle can shrink any object. A truly epoch-making invention."

Lancelot held up a pale-yellow vial, unable to hide his admiration.

As Dr. Pym himself had predicted, the Pym Particle would indeed change the world.

In the final battle of the future, the surviving Avengers would use Pym Particles to pass through the Quantum Realm—traveling back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones.

Clink.

After ten hours of work, Dr. Pym completed his experiment. Four vials of Pym Particles sat before him.

"Hm? Who are you?!"

Only then—perhaps due to quantum interference—did Pym finally notice the three intruders in his lab. His expression changed instantly.

"Serve me. Forever."

Lancelot activated Geass with a single glance.

There was no way he would allow a genius capable of opening the door to quantum time travel to slip away.

Whoever controlled the Pym Particles controlled time travel itself.

"Yes… my lord."

A crimson bird seemed to burst from Lancelot's eyes. Dr. Pym's will was rewritten. He bowed respectfully.

"Stealth Unit. Take Dr. Pym out."

The air distorted. Two invisible soldiers appeared, gently gripping Dr. Pym's arms.

As they did, his body began to twist—then gradually faded from existence.

One minute later, Dr. Hank Pym was gone.

"Good," Lancelot said with a faint smile, glancing at Mystique.

"Now we wait for the future heroes to arrive."

Whoosh.

Mystique instantly transformed into Dr. Pym.

Lancelot led Emma Frost to a computer terminal.

"Illusion."

He pressed his fingers to his temple, his consciousness diving into the base's data network.

Classified Records

1978: The Celestial Ego arrived on Earth.

1987: Dr. Hank Pym invented the Ant-Man suit. The Wasp was lost in the Quantum Realm during a mission.

1988: Yondu Udonta arrived on Earth under Ego's commission.

1989: Project PEGASUS was established. Carol Danvers was born as Captain Marvel after a Kree attack.

Lancelot's expression grew strange.

Digging deeper, he uncovered data clearly left behind as messages for someone.

Undoubtedly—this was information meant for the future Captain America.

In an extremely hidden independent network, he found even more.

1970:

Future Captain America and Future Iron Man arrived at the New Jersey Base.

Pym Particles have been sealed, awaiting retrieval by future heroes.

Item 084 has been removed from the secure vault and transferred to the New Jersey Base warehouse, pending pickup.

"So everything was prepared in advance," Lancelot muttered with amusement.

"Even Howard Stark was conveniently reassigned here under the excuse of a vacation."

Indeed, 1970 contained three Captain Americas.

One was a HYDRA sleeper, awakened early, frozen in 1963, and frozen again.

One was the Captain America who returned to the end of World War II and chose to retire in the past.

And one belonged to a movie still playing out its final act.

"If you never watch the ending, the game has no flaws."

"But from my timeline," Lancelot sneered,

"Avengers: Endgame is full of holes."

What he needed to confirm now was simple—

Would the arrival of the future heroes split his timeline?

Time travel inevitably created branches wherever they went.

"I hope my timeline remains intact."

His eyes gleamed as he waited.

No matter the outcome—no matter whether the timeline fractured again—

Lancelot was ready to personally meet these heroes from the future.

"For now… we wait."

1970.

Time travel had become inevitable.
